Cohens Chemist Avis 

Cohens at Firsway Health Centre Sale are second to none in terms of the service that they offer.
I have used this chemist since it opened with the Doctor's Surgery some years ago and I wouldn't use anywhere else.
Their attention to detail and courteous manner are a credit to Hardeep and his very busy Pharmacy.
I hope this review offers a true reflection of what is a very important supplier to the visiting public.
Well done too all concerned.

I use cohens on a regular basis for multiple friends and family's prescriptions the service is second to none the staff are friendly and welcoming as well as knowledgeable for my needs and welfare the support I get I can't fault at all. I've witnessed for myself the empathy they give people with mental and with drug addiction as a separate room is allocated for privacy and is soundproofed giving the customers confidence in the staff attending to there needs overall the establishment is very well run and on the ball in every aspect a chemist can be.

Never answers their phone!!

Wasted trips to attend the pharmacy are required to find out they still don't have your prescription ready.

If I could leave a minus star I would. A prescription that I never picked up due to my ailment improve overnight (so antibiotics not deemed the best choice). I’m now being chased for £100 fine because the NHS say it was picked up and not paid for due to benefit claim. So not only did I not pick up this medicine, Cohens put it through as a benefit claim when I’m not even on any benefits. If I’d have wanted the medicine I’d have paid. Now the stress of fighting due to Cohens incompetence

Terrible service, one time I just rung to make sure my prescription was sent down before I set of walking with my 3 children and when I got there and sat down waiting for it I heard the 3 staff slagging me off behind the counter saying who does she think she is ringing telling us to do her tablets, then the man looked over to notice I was sat there, then I have a perception every month everytime I go in I get told I have to come back in another 2 days even tho it has been sent down a week, there is also tablets always missing then other day I went to pick my tablets up as again they missed some from the 12th November then one of the ladies got extremely nasty asking when I’d put it in I said the date and said I had done it on the patches and went to get it up on my phone to show her she said that means nothing so I said what’s point in having a service then to order medication if it means nothing so 2 lots of tablets what I have to take everyday and not allowed to just come of them I had to wait 7 days in total before they would give me them.

I give no stars if possible. They don't answer the phones, fail to fulfil repeats when you do get through, ie two weeks and still waiting for my meds... I will go in person tomorrow, I will change chemists also. I cannot recommend them, very poor service.

Having dealt with my local Boots branch for 20 years and been totally satisfied, since Cohens took over, it's not fit for purpose. The shop staff are fine but Mohammed The Feckless Pharmacist is a rank amateur. Dispensed one preparation close to its expiry date, doesn't appear to know the difference between lactose free and lactolose despite a full explanation and the final straw, dangerously incompetent. Asked a straight question. Is it safe to take this drug with that one? Three times of asking. Dumb deliberation. Answer. Yes. Wrong. It can cause gastro intestinal bleeding. Changing dispensing pharmacy with immediate effect.

Cohens Glossop. Really surprised to see the low star rating for this Pharmacy. Have been using them for the past 18 months since moving to Glossop. I have found the staff to be polite, friendly and efficient. They always text when prescription is ready for collection. The staff are efficient and provide an excellent service. Absolutely deserve a 5* rating.

Second time using this ‘pharmacy’ and won’t be doing again. I have my prescriptions sent here as it’s closest to where I work for collection… WOW wish I hadn’t bothered. After five days of waiting for confirmation that my script was ready to collect, I rang again (I always have to) to be told, yes it’s here for collection. I say great I will be I later to pick it up. Go to collect and the ‘ladies’ in the shop can’t find it. I’m then told it came in today but we don’t have the items. There are five different meds on my script, what and you don’t have any of them! What a joke. They could not have cared less. Luckily my husband went in to complain and glad he did, as they found they did have my script with one item missing. I wish I could give no stars! The very first time I used them, they didn’t have items either! ⛔️ AVOID AT ALL COSTS⛔️. The floor is also always filthy!!

Cohens your local chemist oh yea but all Prescriptions have to go to local warehouse which adds days till you can get your prescription.
Plus my branch managed to lose my Prescription and told me you cant have it till following Monday so i contacted Cohens online and was told to go back the following day to pick it up yet again the staff said they didnt have it.
I told them their head office and the woman in charge in branch had both told me it would be ready oh ?
So i just sat and waited while the staff served other customers one young man manged to find my prescription .
I no longer trust Cohens and have decided to avoid them at all cost their system is poorly planned and doesnt put the customers first i feel sorry for elderly customers trying to cope with this company.

Avoid the Hinckley Cohens Pharmacy. Just a nightmare chemist, failed to provide my COVID injection after an appointment and sitting around. I gave up and requested my appointment to be cancelled and guess what at the time of writing this is was not done, so I am unable to rebook. Must be the signs of not to bother, just like the signs for me not to past that threshold again

The pharmacist was quick to see me and diagnose a sore throat of 2 days. It needed antibiotics and really helped me. As I knew I wouldn't get a GP appointment for this.

I feel that my pharmacist knows me better than my GP. It's a great service to quickly diagnose minor issues.

I went to cohens chemist in Egremont, Cumbria, with my partner to have our annual flu and Covid vaccines. These appointments were booked online by myself through the NHS app. This was my first time visiting this branch of Cohens but this was the only place with appointments available for flu and covid vaccines.
When we walked in the first thing I noticed was the extremely dirty carpet. Dirt trodden in so much that the carpet was becoming shiny with filth. To be fair there was a few leaves on the floor that had obviously been bought in from outside on peoples feet but there was also a lot of other rubbish and dirt on the carpet so it had clearly not been vacuumed.
We were told to sit in the waiting area by a member of staff. They were short but pleasant enough.
Whilst waiting I noticed ingrained dirt along the edges of all the shelving and dirty marks on the walls and skirting boards.
I did not have to wait very long to be called into a very small consultation room. The room was approximately 6ft x 3ft and felt very claustrophobic.
The chemist was pleasant enough.
The room had a computer and a sink unit with a metal sink that had rust around the plughole.
The worse thing of all was when the chemist was taking my details he was holding the syringe in his hand whilst typing and kept putting the hand holding the syringe up to his mouth and nose!
I was shocked when he gave me the two vaccines without putting a pair of gloves on first, or cleaning his hands! The keyboard he had been using looked dirty and dusty.
When he was finished he very quickly put a bit of sanitiser on his hands but did not rub this all over his hands. He then put the clipboard he was using on the floor (carpeted) to enable him to open the door, and then picked it back up with the hand he was using to administer the vaccines.
I should have called him out on this but it happened so quickly and I didn’t think for one minute he would administer an injection without cleaning his hands or wearing gloves.
There were a steady stream of people going in for vaccines including my partner and I had to wait outside for him as felt dirty and grubby remaining in that environment!

I have used Cohen’s chemist, Gold Street, Wellingborough for medication, asking questions and vaccines. They are extremely helpful and friendly and always very efficient. Very good service received from all members of staff.

I collected my repeat prescription from Cohens 102 High Street, Royal Wootton Bassett yesterday. I was left shocked and horrified by the appalling behaviour of the young pharmacy technician there. She is always rude, unhelpful and sulky and often openly criticises her manager in front of customers. Yesterday she surpassed herself. I needed to explain a change to one of my regular medications, but this so called pharmacy technician was not in the least bit interested, shrugged her shoulders in disinterest and walked off as I was trying to explain the situation to her. When she came back, she didn’t have all my medications and I told her I had 2 items in the fridge to collect. She said “no you don’t” and started to walk off again. I asked her to check my prescription again, which she did extremely reluctantly. When she realised she was wrong, she marched off to the fridge, got my items and slammed them down on the counter in front of me and proceeded to make out, in a very aggressive manner, that it was me who had made the mistake!! Unfortunately, I then had to point out another error in her dispensing and she got really angry with me and shouted at me. By this point, all the other customers in the shop knew exactly what medications I was taking, so much for confidentiality!! She was then rude, aggressive in her manner and extremely unpleasant. I was so upset that I was shaking and felt physically sick. I left quickly and felt so distressed that I had to email head office with an official complaint.
Absolutely appalling, made even worse by the fact that the other 2 employees in the shop (both senior to her) didn’t say a single word and did absolutely nothing to stop her behaviour or see if I was ok.

Kidderminster branch has to be the worst pharmacy on this planet, allowing people with critical medication to go without because they cannot run a business or be bothered is criminal and they should be shut down

They are ao helpful at Cohen’s chemist! I had been passed around by various people who couldn’t help me. I tried at the chemist in the end to get a repeat prescription of the contraceptive pill. Noreen was able to help me straight away and completed a review (weight and blood pressure) without an appointment there and then. Very helpful service that more people should know about.

Asked for Friday delivery instead of Thursday as had a dental appointment and a flu jab. Chemist abruptly said "pick it up". I had spinal surgery 4 years ago and am not happy being treated like this. Why did I contribute to the NHS for 50 years for this attitude. Where is the care and compassion ?

1 15om still not seen, still not acknowkeged, 2 others still before me. And more people walking in.
A complete farce. Ended up just walking out. Ill book with my GP. Not wasting my time with the pharmacy. Ive had nothing but sloppy bad service from it.

Branch 725 - I used to dread dealing with the nearest, local chemist, out of necessity and convenience, rather than choice, right next door to the doctors' surgery.
Then Hazel arrived, I would say some three years ago now, maybe, in that time I have come to regard Hazel somewhat as a friend now, instead of someone 'just doing a job'! I now look forward to visiting the branch, even the telephone service/manner has improved and the whole team, some names I cannot recall, but including Sharon and Hardeep are polite, helpful and friendly. Hazel, always with a smile, is exceptional and goes out of her way, literally, with everything she does, well done all.
