We had the best time with our son in the yurt with Julia on the farm. The whole place is just idyllic, so beautiful and peaceful. It felt like our own private piece of land in the middle of the gorgeous Devon landscape. Julia was super friendly and helpful. There are many great things to do in the area and the animals were an amazing bonus for our son to play with. There is no electricity or WIFI and it was the best thing to just completely detox from the world and fully rest. I will recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

Helen at Hazelstone management was perfect from start to finish. Great communication. Quick email reply to any questions and details are left in the house should you have any problems/questions during your stay. The house is beautiful and to a very high spec. We would 100% recommend this house and management company for a beautiful stress free stay.

We had a fabulous stay at Portamaggie Cottage with our two dogs . We woke up to the sound of waves and fell asleep to the sound of waves . Opened the door every morning to let the dogs run on the beach . So peaceful and the weather was amazing , went home with a sun tan . Great walk along the coastline to Portpatrick. Thank you Tara and Mark for the lovely welcome hamper . The cottage was warm and welcoming , everything you could want and more to get away from the stresses of life . We would definitely recommend and will definitely be back.

Absolutely fantastic stay!! Paul and Antonia have made an absolutely beautiful retreat in Oban, and my partner Dale and I have had a wonderful time! Although our trip was short, we took full advantage of the comforts of the Roost, and enjoyed watching silver screen films on the projector! Seeing red squirrels and owlets making their first appearances in the world was an absolute highlight. We walked into Oban each evening and had some incredible meals. Paul and Antonia were so kind and accommodating, and provided us with a plethora of recommendations. Thank you so much, we can't wait to come back! :)

We had a Wonderful Stay at Bennalack Barn The Bullpen is a peaceful, beautifully kept cottage that made for a perfect Cornish escape. The barn was spotless, full of charm, with the small touches — fresh flowers and cinnamon buns on arrival — that made us feel instantly welcome. The gardens are stunning and so calming, which we enjoyed in the evenings. The hosts were very welcoming. Would highly recommend this cottage for a lovely quiet break, in easy reach (approx 20 mins) of both North and South Coasts.

I recently booked a property with coolstays and had a few issues after a very disappointing stay at one of the properties. Although a resolution was eventually reached, I was disappointed with the initial contact and response. It took much longer than I believe it should have.
I understand that the agreement is with the property owner and that Coolstays are merely a directory but they need to be aware of what they are advertising to the customer and making sure the facts are correct as they are the first port of call. The photos of the property needed reviewing as they were clearly out of date.
In the end I was happy with the outcome.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at the Dovecote staying over our wedding anniversary. The place is gorgeous and true to the listing. The quality of furnishings and equipment is to a very high standard, and touches like the choccies, cookies and frozen croissants were a treat. Karen was friendly and welcoming and able to suggest good places to visit and eat. As the weather was baking we were able to enjoy cooling off in the lovely pool as well. We loved our stay and will definitely be back. Andy and Annette

Booked this place for one night for my partners birthday, would have stayed for longer if we could of (unable to due to work commitments). Absolutely stunning place, so much time and effort has gone into building a place as stunning as this. There is multiple cabins to stay in… we booked the enchanted faraway tree. Very private and personal. So much attention to detail including the body wash, the towels for the hot tub and separate ones for the shower, a welcome bag with local crisps/tea bags and coffee. The pub is a 1 minute walk away, Morrisons less than half a mile away. Me and my partner have both said this is one of the most beautiful, magical places we have stayed. Michelle and Mark and both timely with replying. Would highly recommend and will definitely return.

The level of property is amazing and perfect for a special away treat whether near or far. Every property owner we spoke to were fantastic! So pleased to have found this site

I'm sorry to tell that Ursa bear Cabin was a huge disappointment to us.
It was supposed to be a birthday treat for my wife, but I found myself apologising to her all the time for my mistake in booking it it.
It was far smaller than the advertising led us to believe, and there were notable health and safety issues involved. The main one being the lack of adequate lighting. We couldn't see to cook, either in outdoor kitchen or the indoor the kitchen and had to select our cooking implements and cutlery by feel. Cooking was was extremely dangerous and I burnt my hand twice.
We were constantly tripping over objects on the floor, which wasn't helped by the fact tat some of the (inadequate) lighting didn't work in the first place.
Also, we weren't impressed by all the dirty skin and fur rugs scattered around the property which were very grimy and we found several insects inhabiting one of them.

There was a very poor selection of cutlery and cups/glasses and no washing up liquid had been provided.
To add insult to injury, when we arrived home today we received a message from the owner complaining about the fact that we hadn't washed the dishes and she wouldn't be refunding our deposit !
We have stayed in numerous other cabins over the years and never had any problems, always being very happy with our stays.
We don't like complaining, but my wife's birthday was ruined and the owner's attitude appalled us.

Love this site and great service

We stayed in Heron for a long weekend for my husband’s 60th birthday. The place is tranquil, beautiful, peaceful, and stunning. There is everything in the pod that you would need and sitting by the lake watching the wildlife, what more could you want. We will definitely be having a return visit

We’ve just returned from our stay in Litua. What a wonderful property with fab views, beautiful sunsets and glorious peace & quiet. The house is clean, comfortable and has everything you need to have a luxurious stay. We enjoyed every minute and will return for sure.

Weekend break to celebrate a special birthday with family. Fabulous stay. Farmer Chris could not have been more friendly or helpful. Very comfortable and memorable for its uniqueness. Good location and plenty of activities on site that we booked and thoroughly enjoyed.

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful retreat. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with delicious chocolates and locally made fudge from a nearby bakery, which was a lovely personal touch.

The cabin is modern, spotless, and beautifully designed, with everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The kitchen is well equipped, the dining area is spacious, and the bedroom is cosy, comfortable, and finished to a high standard.

The outdoor space is the real highlight. The private deck and hot tub are surrounded by trees, creating a peaceful setting that's perfect for unwinding after a day exploring or simply enjoying the quiet with a morning coffee.

Every detail has been carefully thought out, and it really shows. The hosts have created a warm, welcoming retreat that's ideal for a relaxing weekend away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return. Highly recommended

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin is so well thought out & we loved the decor. The views are absolutely stunning & despite being 3 miles from Monmouth you feel a million miles away from the world. If you are after peace & quiet this is the place for you. Thank you to the host who responded to my queries really quickly. This is somewhere I would definately return to.
