Damaged item NOT replaced because we were 3 Days late

After receiving the fireplace (Feb 12 order placed) We were putting it together on Feb 21 (8 business days later) and it was broken- took pictures and sent them. They WILL NOT replace the fireplace!!!! They said it's past the 5 business days required (we were 3 days late!!!!!). Little did they know or even care that my husband was receiving Cancer Care and we weren't home 5 DAYS after!! They are disgusting, cannot reach them on the phone or weekend and I sent 3 emails before receiving the NO answer. DO NOT DO business with them

If I could rate them a zero

If I could rate them a zero, I would. These people are so shady. Their furniture came in clearly damaged and I received authorization to return it after first sending them several pictures of the damage as required by them. I have been fighting with them ever since to get my refund plus the shipping costs they said they would pay and I had to send them the shipping receipt. They sent me the shipping label and tried to refuse to refund me because they said I returned it to the wrong facility. I sent them a screen shot of the shipping label they emailed me. After proving I did exactly what I was instructed. They tried to come up with other excuses and each one I proved they were lying. Their furniture is c**p. Do not buy from them. You will be sorry. I am contacting the BBB,

Stay away from cymax

Stay away from cymax. If you see they are involved, get the item elsewhere. They want $600 to return a $675 table. Guess what. I got bemt over and ………. BEWARE of cymax

Wrong colors shipped and mislabeled

Wrong colors shipped and mislabeled. Found assembly screws laying in the bottom of the box. And worst of all, they ignored my attempts to communicate my issues with them.

The WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

The WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! We ordered an expensive nightstand thru Amazon. Tracking # immediately and then no product, Call FedExpress and they couldn't find the tracking # so we called to cancel as we thought it was an Amazon scam. Miraculously the item shows up at the front door- DAMAGED! We called to return and get a partial refund on a $500.00 item and we're only offered $99.00. Amazon then tells us not to accept and do not return item that Amazon would turn in a claim for us to keep item and not have to return! Denied, Denied, Denied! A month later we were told we Had to return item or get NOTHING. We were asked repeatedly to send photos, which would NEVER ATTACH to show proof of damaged! An Amazon Supervisor then gives us a $100.00 Credit we can only use at Amazon, we still have to pay a $500.00 Charge, and pay to have item repaired! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY OR ANY LARGE ITEM FROM AMAZON!112-1110399-5713055

This company sold me a bar table that…

This company sold me a bar table that was all scratched on top and the legs. The metal was flaking off when I tried to return. It was a nightmare and they said I would have to pay for the shipping. The box was huge and heavy. i Have a small car no way I could do this and why should I pay for shipping when they sent me a damaged table don’t buy from them. They still NEVER RESOLVED this company should go out of business.

Very bad customer service and communication and bussiness

The onky way to type a review was to give a star but if I could I would give no stars. I ordered a tabel and chairs that I never received and then the shipping returned it and cymax refunded my money but kept 212 for returning that i never requested I wanted my table and chairs but I will not use this company to get any furniture ever again. I ask customer service to speak to someone about this matter on the phone and they said they don't do that that all communication is thru a emailing system. So I guess the company would rather loss 800 dollars and a customer oh wait they made 212 and kept my furniture humm very bad service and very bad bussiness I give 0 stars to cymax. Thanks for nothing.

Buying through Amazon, take advantage of AtoZ guarantee and insist on refund if your shipment is damaged

I purchased a small cabinet from Cymax via Amazon. The cabinet arrived damaged (leg broken off). For the price paid it was a reasonable piece of furniure and had it not been damaged I would likely have been happy with it.

I reached out an requested a return. Initially Cymax offered to give me 10% off to keep the piece as is, or return but potentially have shipping costs deducted from my refund. I responded that I had read the Amazon AtoZ guarantee and that they were obligated to provide me a prepaid shipping label to return of damaged merchandise at no cost to me. They quickly issued a full refund and said I should retain the merchandise for 14 days for a possible pick up. After 14 days I can dispose of it. I got my money back, and I expect I will be disposing of the piece in another week. An OK outcome as long as you know the policies and push back accordingly.

It was an OK piece of furnitire for the price. I will note that the box appeared to have been opened and retaped shut. I suspect Cymax was reselling returns or overstocks from the original vendor, and this piece may have already been broken, no telling. Cymax was offering it at a significant discount ($200) to the price on other sites that had the same piece.

Don't Trust Furniture Descriptions!!!

I purchased a swivel barrel chair from this seller on the Amazon website. When it arrived, I discovered it was a CHILD'S chair! I couldn't believe it! I had paid $350 for a child's chair!! No where in the description of this chair did it state that this was a child's chair! Now I am waiting for a response from Cymax regarding the return of the chair. I do NOT think I should have to pay shipping on this chair - not much faith in Cymax's response.

Cymax wouldn't replace or refund product which arrived broken

I ordered a chest of drawers ($600) for my office from Cymax Business. Several weeks later when it arrived, it had a large hole in one side, one of its bottom corners had completely caved in, and several other areas were badly scratched up. There were also multiple large holes in the box which it had shipped in, and the holes had been duct-taped over... I sent pictures of the damaged product and box to Cymax, and they told me that they wouldn't do anything about it because I hadn't notified them within 5 days of its arrival (I'd notified them 6 business days / 8 calendar days afterward). They refused to do anything to fix the situation.

Fortunately, I'd paid Cymax through Amazon Pay. I reached out about the issue again through my Amazon account, and this time they acted completely differently and sent me a new chest. I got lucky, but it was clear that Cymax does not care about its individual customers-- it only cares about its large-scale business partners like Amazon. I definitely do not recommend buying from Cymax without using Amazon Pay.

Prohibitive cancellation/return policy

Prohibitive cancellation/return policy for heavy furniture items. Had a good experience 5+ years ago with them so decided to order. Regretted after 1 day. Four days later they expedited to ship/book the forwarder, so it appears as if it shipped, after I requested cancellation, but they ignored. I no longer want the item. WE are highly disappointed with this order and communication.

Epic worst company!!

Epic worst company! Do NOT buy from. They have cancelled my order twice. After over 4 months and 2 orders of the same furniture, they once again canceled the order. Waited the entire summer waiting for this furniture and then with no explanation, cancelled again. You never get your order!

Executive desk set

We purchased an executive desk set from Bush furniture. AKA Cymax. On March 18. Order came fairly quickly. 6 boxes total. 4 came on Monday the 25th and 2 on Tuesday the 26th of March 2024. As I start to unpack and inspect each box. The last box, a desk. 4 pieces included and hardware, very simple installation. I noticed the bottom piece is damaged. I contact Cymax through their email as that’s the only way to reach them. At first they offered %25 to keep the item as is. As the damaged item is a leg. Right in the middle, we decided to go the replacement route. Cymax said the manufacturer could not replace the leg as the item is in back order until possibly September. That is just not acceptable. Cymax has the desk in stock. I suggested a full desk replacement as we need the office up and running in now 1.5 weeks. They reached out to the manufacturer and said they were able to send the leg.
Patiently waiting. I would prefer not to return the whole order, but you can not just patch up the damaged leg.
So far the items look good. Will update once I get a date.

They suck!

They suck!! They are a 3rd party seller on Amazon for fine furniture. They send broken stuff and them take weeks to respond. They then don't have any real resolutions I asked a million times for a replacement and they then after 4 days processed me a partial refund and told me to be ready to ship back their broken dresser. They are useless and trash. Avoid at all costs.

Defective Merch and They Delete Neg Reviews

Ordered patio table and chairs. Items actually ship from the manufacturer, not Cymax. Arrived damaged. Contacted Cymax. They eventually respond stating the manufacturer would send me replacement. Weeks later, still nothing. No indication that a replacement was shipped. Contacted Cymax again. They have no record of my original email. Then a replacement arrives out of nowhere. Still damaged. Manufacturer kept sending me damaged pieces with peg holes that didn't align with each other. Four months later, we decided to keep the least worst pieces that actually fit together. One year later, the paint is peeling off. Emailed Cymax asking if they have touchup paint. Response: You can't return your item because it's out of warranty. I didn't want to return it. I wanted paint. Left negative review of the furniture. Cymax deleted it.
