Deakin's Plumbing & Heating LTD Avis 

I didn't get the plumbers name who came to my address but he was extremely polite, kind and caring regarding my new carpets and new lino which has had to pulled up.
He was extremely knowledgeable and explained what was wrong with the toilet and some little tweaks I can do myself if it ever leaks.

Had our bath taken out and a walk in shower installed by James at Deakins. He did an excellent job was hard working, polite, solved numerous problems for us and we are delighted with the end result. Great to have work done by trusted people to such a high standard. ( Thanks also to Jake, apprentice, Chris and Tom the tiler, a great team effort)

I’ve used Deakins on a few occasions and the service and standard of work has always been really good. I will continue to use them for any plumbing or electrical work I need.

Today the work I had done was carried out by a gent called Tom Gill.
Very knowledgable and completed the work to a high standard, keeping me informed of any changes to the original planned work and ensuring I understood what was being done.

I don't usually write reviews as I'm too busy but Tom needs to be praised by the Deakins boys for the unreal problem solving skills and work ethic he has just shown.

I have had a leaking ceiling for a little over two months now, multiple other firms came out to me and were useless in fault finding. One company was quoting £5k for a rip out and refit of the shower unit.

Upon arrival, I saw Tom and being honest his young age made me think "here we go" and I had no faith this young guy would find what other older more experienced plumbers could not. He came in and within 20 minutes he had not only found it in a completely different location to the other but was already cutting the floor boards out. He popped out for parts and came back and within an hour and half it was finally over.

Look after him or ill be investing in him for his business haha

Our gas boiler failed and was deemed beyond economic repair by the previous service company on a Sunday. On the Monday the service company quoted to replace the unit but only with a 2 year warranty.

I asked Deakins for a quote and they had a new boiler ( same model as quoted above ) with a 10 year warranty was fully operational by the Thursday evening.

The Deakins team ( Chris, Scott, Tom ) that I dealt with were very good and left everything very tidy. They even spent effort matching the bricks to cover up the old flue exit.

The Deakins quoted cost was a bit more than the service company were quoting ( theirs included a "free" replacement and "just" charged for fitting ) but the difference was worth the extra warranty and the resulting reduction in annual breakdown cover fees to the service company.

We had been recommended Deakins by several neighbours who had used them and we would very happily recommend them.

To say that this company provide excellent customer service would be a huge understatement. We woke up on Saturday morning with no heating and, having a six month old, I was really concerned about resolving it quickly. I contacted Deakins and Chris responded immediately and was here within an hour as he sensed my concern & urgency. It was clearly his day off too.

He got it up & running and cleared out some pipes that were very likely causing the issue and left us with it working.

We’ve woken up this morning, on Sunday, with no heating again. Guess who came back immediately?! Upon further inspection, whilst what he did yesterday was an issue and will stop us having that fault further down the line, it’s turned out that we have fluctuating pressure in the gas supply which was hard to spot at first glance and was fine when he was here at first but not now.

Chris has been brilliant and I can’t thank him enough for what he’s done, coming out twice on his days off to make sure we’re sorted quickly. As I type this, Cadent are on the way to replace the faulty regulator in the meter and we should be fully up & running in a couple of hours.

Our existing Vaillant system boiler was about 20 years old and, although working properly, was likely to expire without warning in the not too distant future. Consequently, we decided it was better to replace the boiler now rather than wait for it to fail.

As longstanding Vaillant customers, we looked on the Vaillant website and searched through the list of local accredited Vaillant boiler installers. We selected Deakins Plumbing & Heating to contact and what a good decision it was.

Our email request for a quotation was promptly responded to by Chris Deakin and, later the same day, he was able to visit us to assess the work required, guide us through the various options available and recommend a cost effective solution. We chose just to replace our existing boiler with a Vaillant EcoTecPlus 830 system boiler, retaining all our existing heating controls, and Chris emailed a quotation the next day which we accepted. We also enquired about some other general plumbing work that needed doing and Chris gave us a fair hourly rate for this work to be done.

Mark and James commenced the job on the date agreed and, although the work was going to take more than a day to complete, they were able to temporarily connect the new boiler overnight on day one to provide hot water and central heating. The boiler work, together with the general plumbing work, were completed to a neat and excellent standard by Mark on the second day. The condenser outflow pipe from the boiler was connected to the washing machine outflow pipe in our utility room, so there will be no problems from a frozen external condenser outflow pipe!

The new boiler has now been operational for more than 2 weeks without any issues. Hopefully, we will save some money on our gas bills in future but it’s too early to say at present. The one thing that is clear is that the new boiler is much quieter than our previous one.

Our overall experience with Deakins is that it is a company which views excellent customer service and quality of work as vital. We have no hesitation in recommending them and will be using them in future for on-going boiler maintenance and other ad hoc general plumbing work.

Tom did a fantastic job for my mum of 99 years of age. Listened to her concerns, explained what was needed and completed the job. She is very happy now. Approachable, efficient and COVID conscious! Thankyou.

Fitted a new boiler within two weeks of accepting the quote. When an issue arose overnight during installation, the plumber was sent out within half an hour of leaving a message. Always helpful.

Very good service from start to finish. Responded promptly and fixed faulty radiators. Both heating engineers kept to scheduled time, complete with masks, and gave advice to prevent further issues. Would recommend and would use this company again if needed.

Excellent service from start to finish. I needed new radiators urgently as the main one in my home was broken. Fitted within a few days of first enquiry. Sound advice given, work completed cleanly and efficiently. Old radiators, all packaging from new ones removed, small amount of dust from drilling swept up. All I had to do was replace furniture I’d had to move out of the way. Highly recommended. Thank you.

We needed a new boiler fitting quickly in the depth of winter. Deakin’s Plumbing & Heating Chorley delivered exceptional customer service right from the start as quote was delivered on first day of contact by Chris who arranged a Worcester boiler to be fitted the next day. The old boiler was removed and a new Worcester boiler installed by Rob and James who worked so professionally and well together in subzero temperatures. I cannot recommend them highly enough and thank them all for making my home cosy again.

I’m very pleased with the service provided by Deakins and would highly recommend them for all plumbing jobs. Scott has recently rectified a fault on my boiler. He was very polite and thorough. He explained the problem and gave good advice for me to follow should the fault occur again. As a result of this I booked my annual boiler service with Deakins. Scott called again and did another excellent job. Also on both occasions when I contacted the office I found Savannah to be very knowledgeable and helpful which has given me confidence to use Deakins again in the future. Thank you.
