Wonderful Canterbury Team
We have adopted a lovely dog from the Canterbury Rehoming Centre. From our very first interaction we have been well informed by a caring and knowledgeable team. We are 3 days into our adoption and have received several follow-up calls from the team to check on our progress. We can't say enough complimentary things about the Dogs Trust team, the entire process has been supportive and kind. Our dog is happily settling in to life with us and we are feeling extremely grateful.

Dogs Trust - Stunning!
The staff at Dogs Trust in Loughborough were fantastic, very helpful and supportive. Even when we phoned the Dogs Trust call centre, the staff were really helpful and friendly. The adoption process has been amazing! They keep in touch to make sure the settling-in is a success and offer ongoing support and advice. It has been a wonderful experience; they really care for each and every dog and want the best for them.

Everyone at Cardiff Dogs Trust were very friendly and willing to give us advice on the adoption of Willow (flip flops).
A vague background was given to us ( as much as the staff new) to prepare us on what we could expect from Willow.
We have been offered plenty of support since the adoption and moving forward.

A few days after submitting an application we were contacted about a suitable dog. From that point the team were friendly and informative, providing as much detail about potential dog, setting up meet and great and adoption along with follow up call. Overall a seamless and supportive process.

The staff at dogs trust were so helpful and kind in helping me find a beautiful 10 week old staff cross female puppy. They were knowledgable, clear, concise and extremely helpful and I can not thank them enough for the incredible service and help in finding me a beautiful girl to take home with me. I was very happy they contacted me several times to ensure everything was going well and always offered me help if and when I needed it, which fortunately I did not need as an an experienced dog owner. I was also super impressed by how clean and nice their premises were and how all the staff seemed lovely and kind especially when looking after dogs that are in need of finding their forever homes

Canterbury dogs trust were amazing…
Canterbury dogs trust were amazing during the adoption process of my dachshund Dexter. Very thorough to ensure my rescue was going to the right home with the right people. Wonderful experience
Staff were very accommodating and extremely helpful when looking at the fur babies. They allowed us to ask as many questions as needed and felt very satisfied. The trust at Darlington is fantastic!💙 we were able to take our boy Chance home within the day

Sad to say but I believe this charity’s business model is all about donations and the dogs are a cover, read the article in today’s Sunday times, I’ve never managed to rescue a dog from them.

Our rehoming team carefully reviews every application on an individual basis, taking into consideration the information provided about a person's home, location, lifestyle and circumstances, alongside the individual needs, behaviour and requirements of the dogs in our care. As every dog is different, there is no single set of circumstances that will be suitable for every dog, and decisions are made on a case-by-case basis with the welfare of each dog at the heart of the process.
Our Training & Behaviour and Rehoming teams work extremely hard to understand each dog's needs and to make responsible decisions about their care and placement. We know that this process can sometimes feel frustrating, particularly when you are a genuine dog lover who simply wants a canine companion, but our priority must always be finding the right and safest match for each individual dog.

Professional but kind.
All the staff were extremely professional but kindly. All very helpful. Adoption papers were all explained and we were able to meet and talk to the ‘foster parent’ , with whom our dog had been staying . This was very useful in having first hand views on behaviour and temperament.

Everyone was very helpful at all times.
We are very lucky to have to have found Rio who is a lovely dog and is very responsive to his name and many commands. His only fault is stealing food!!
He is good with other dogs and people although does jump up sometimes. Everyone loves him. He is very affectionate. He can be left for a few hours. He has an hour in our local woods each morning and a short poo walk before bedtime. He loves running around our verybig garden and chases the squirrels.He always stays within it’s boundaries.
We would be very pleased to have news of his partner Flynn?? Please. 🙏
He was immaculately clean when we got him

So many thanks to DogsTrust Shoreham for helping us find our Molly :-)
We lost our lovely dog of nearly 14 years just after Christmas. Anyone who has lost a dog understands how painful the whole thing is... Three months later we realised the void in our lives was a dog although we thought that we couldn't possibly have another :-) We thought long and hard and decided that we would look at Rescue Dogs and were so glad we did. We have now had our Molly for four months and she has been wonderful. She is much loved and cared for and is quite a well known character in our neighbourhood. She grows in confidence everyday and never ceases to amaze and amuse us. Considering her awful first years this is amazing. None of this would have been possible without the understanding, support and sheer professionalism of the amazing DogsTrust and ALL the staff who were involved in the whole adoption from start to finish. With their advice, support and understanding we look forward to every day with our amazing Molly. My wife and I cannot recommend the DogsTrust enough. Thank you to everyone at the DogsTrust both locally and nationally.
