Thomas is such an amazing instructor. He went above and beyond to make sure I learned and passed my test.
He was very detailed and took his time to teach me. I have previously taken lessons elsewhere but I didn’t really learn much. My first lesson with Thomas taught me a lot of lessons about the rules of the road, manoeuvres and a lot more. He made so easy to learn.
He is a great instructor and I will gladly recommend him to anyone looking to learn driving and ace their test.

I've recently started lessons with David, and the progress I've made already has been incredible. He’s a fantastic instructor who really builds your confidence on the road, and I know I'll be passing with flying colours thanks to him. Highly recommended, and thank you, David!

A terrible experience with this driving school which has really negatively impacted my learning experience and my confidence. They signed me up with an instructor who was about to go away for 6 weeks, then seriously bungled reassigning me - the new instructor wasn't available the next week, then cancelled a lesson, then turned up in a manual car when I am learning automatic! Then they reassigned me AGAIN and the driving instructor cancelled the lesson AGAIN - on the fourth assignment to an instructor and no lessons for nearly a month I gave up and cancelled my account.

I had booked with a big well-known school as I thought they would be an effective middle man between me and the self-employed drivers, but they're really not. You can't book drivers through them in real time, they have no real idea of their availability or control of quality or experience. Given you are essentially contracting directly with the instructor anyway, it makes much more sense to use one of the platforms as a middleman, like EzLicence - there at least you can read reviews, choose your instructor and see their real-time availability. I would not recommend DriveJohnsons.

Abdul is the best instructor there is. He has many forward thinking techniques to get you to not make the same habits. If you want to pass pick him

My driving instructor, Michael, guided me through my learning process very well. I managed to pass my test with zero faults. He always reassured me when I thought I wasn’t doing well and gave very constructive feedback and advice to help me be more assertive on the road. I’m thankful for his confidence in me and definitely wouldn’t have wanted anyone else as my instructor.

Russell was an excellent instructor, explains everything clearly, has a proper plan on what order to learn things and makes it very easy for you to pass.

Had Chris Elvin as my instructor. Absolutely fantastic passed my test with him on the first attempt. Chris is calm and very good at explaining ways and correcting mistakes that new drivers make. I would highly suggest drive johnsons.

I passed my UK practical driving test, and I can’t thank MUFADDAL KATHAWALA enough! He is an exceptional instructor— incredibly patient, professional, and calm throughout every lesson. His explanations of road rules, roundabouts, and manoeuvres were clear and easy to follow. He really helped build my confidence behind the wheel and prepared me thoroughly for test day. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a top-quality driving instructor! 10/10 recommended!

I cancelled my lesson because I was very ill and didn’t think it would be safe for me to drive nor did I want to pass my illness onto the instructor. However he decided to charge me £78 for a two hour lesson even though he cancelled on our first lesson about an hour before. I have a very busy and tight schedule so this caused a lot of complications for me but I was still understanding. I have emailed customer service twice about this and they were super unhelpful and condescending, they did not compensate me at all for the double standard and instead said that I won’t be refunded my £78 because the instructor ‘wishes to charge me’. I find this very greedy and selfish, not to mention the amount of time he wasted in my lessons just chatting about random things while we were parked. On my last lesson, we were parked outside my house for 15 minutes before we finally drove off and he was just chatting about random topics. I felt like my experience was a complete waste of time and money, especially because I am a university student who also works part-time so my budget and schedule is tight. Now I’m going to have to switch to a different company because of how unfair and inconsiderate DriveJohnsons and my instructor was. I an still very upset about the fact that my instructor claimed the £78 with no consideration of his double standard at all. Selfish instructor and greedy unhelpful company.

It was great having lessons with Raf. He was very calm, supportive, and patient throughout my learning journey. He was my third instructor, and thankfully my last, as he helped me finally pass my driving test.

I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a driving instructor, including my friends and family.

I took lessons in York and my instructor was Joseph Dokotum. He is a great instructor - has the skills and knowledge while also being very patient. It took me a lot of lessons to be test ready (I’m just generally anxious) but Joseph remained patient and got me there. Would strongly recommend Joseph!

Abdul was an amazing instructor who helped me clean up mistakes in my driving and made me feel so much more comfortable and confident on the road and helping me to pass my manual driving test 1st time in a little amount of time.

Learning to drive with Ange has been such a positive experience. She’s genuinely sweet, patient, and makes every lesson enjoyable. When she needs to be firm, she is, but never in a way that stresses you out or knocks your confidence. She explains things clearly, supports you through mistakes, and really helps you feel comfortable behind the wheel. I’m genuinely grateful for her guidance and would recommend her to anyone.

I’ve just passed my driving test with ZERO faults and it’s all thanks to my amazing driving instructor, Mya! 🎉🚗

I had been trying to learn how to drive for a long time and had lessons with other instructors in the past, but Mya was the only person who genuinely managed to build my confidence as a driver.

From the very beginning, she has been incredibly patient, supportive and encouraging. Every lesson was tailored to my individual needs and she always had a clear approach to teaching. She explained things thoroughly and had such a great way of breaking things down so that they were easy to understand. Her instructions were always clear, which made such a difference to my learning.

Mya took me through the test routes countless times and we went over and over everything I needed to know until I felt confident and prepared. Even when I made mistakes (and there were plenty! 😅), she was always kind, patient and encouraging. She never made me feel embarrassed or upset, and instead helped me understand what went wrong and how to improve.

What makes me especially grateful is that Mya completely changed the way I feel about driving. In the past, I was nervous and fearful behind the wheel and driving felt more like a chore than something I could enjoy. Now, I genuinely enjoy driving and feel confident and excited about it.

Learning to drive was a huge investment for me, both financially and personally, and I can honestly say that choosing Mya was worth every penny.
