my experience on the driving speed awareness course today. At the start, we were told we could leave briefly if needed and return with our camera on. During the first hour, two other participants left and returned without issue. But when I left briefly around1:50 PM and tried to rejoin at 1:54, I was denied entry. I tried to rejoin multiple times. I then called AA customer service at 1:59 and stayed on the phone until about2:15 trying to resolve the issue. I was told that the instructor made a note at1:57 stating that I had left. I feel this was disproportionate, and I’m concerned about the inconsistent treatment between participants. KEITH the instructor has hatred in his heart and is not fit to be a trainee AVOID THIS COMPANY no solution offered from Keith’s behaviour

The course was great and the instructor Gary was engaging, professional and very kind. I have learnt the importance of speed reduction and it's safety implications.

I had a terrible experience with this provider. When joining my online course via Microsoft Teams, I ran into technical issues with my camera, which they assisted with, followed by an issue with the background blur feature. When asked to present my ID, I was told it was too blurry, but the instructor offered no advice or assistance on how to fix it.

When I expressed reasonable frustration over these technical difficulties, I was immediately booted off the course without any prior warning. To be completely clear, I did not swear or use abusive language toward the instructor—I simply voiced my dissatisfaction with the process and experience.

To make matters worse, I now have to pay an additional £30 to reschedule the training. I am currently going through severe personal, health, and financial challenges, so forcing customers to pay extra after removing them without warning for mild feedback is extremely unfair and lacking in basic empathy.

If you have a choice of training providers, I strongly advise steering clear of this company.

The trainer, Bernie, was so lovely and made the course so much nicer. For someone who has bad anxiety about these things, she made me feel so relaxed .

A well thought out & delivered course. Can thoroughly recommend as you are helped with action plans to help the retention of all learnt.

Instructors were friendly and professional with a good sense of humour. Course was interesting and very informative. I learned a lot I didn’t know and it has changed my driving perspective for the better. I am now a safer, more respectful driver

I never expected to enjoy the course - in fact, I was dreading spending four hours doing it however, Manny's delivery was so amusing and engaging, he had us all roaring with laughter and focusing vs nodding off and watching the clock. It was informative, enjoyable and I think that education is more effective in changing behaviour than punitive measures.

A very informative and professional course run by Mick and Mark. They were very easy to follow and made the 3 hour course very pleasant.

Don't get me wrong, but the last thing I wanted to do was to attend a speed awareness course. However, I broke the law and my options were limited. I'm glad that I chose Drivetech. The booking process was simple, and I was sent several reminders by email and text. On the day registration was straightforward and the instructor was friendly and engaging. The course was well organised and relevant, and was followed up by clear communications from Drivetech.

Did I learn anything? Begrudgingly, I have to admit that I did.

Superb instructor. I took the Speed Awareness course and I felt informed rather than punished. Very impressive course.

I learnt how much I had forgotten about driving. I have a brain injury and I was shown a coping mechanism for stress management and safe driving. I'm 69 and appreciated the help I was given, without being lectured as a bad or incompetent driver.

Excellent course. easy to book and attend on line at your own convenience. Sue the instructor was great. It was a group course and everyone was encouraged to participate but without pressure. Everyone in the group learned something new about speed limits. It's a shame this is only for people caught speeding. Useful as a reminder for all drivers exeperienced or otherwise

i was not looking forward to doing this course but i was surprised how much i actually enjoyed it, partly as the trainer Graham was very good at his job, also friendly and knew his stuff and partly because today whilst driving with my wife i was able to win an argument due to my now superior knowledge of the highway code, she went silent after checking Google, this is a first for me and im now thinking of other courses i can do this way, thankyou Graham and Drivetech i enjoyed the course and that win today made it a bit special..if you have to do this course i would say, dont dread it, learn from it and one day you too could get one over your misses..seriously though it was a great learning experience and i took alot from it. many thanks Jake James Scott

This has got to be one of the biggest joke companies around! The call centre staff are nice but clearly the person supposed to be taking the course had other ideas today!

My course was to start at 8am. The instructions were to be on 7:50 to show ID, which I was. It goes through 8am and nothing. It gets to 8:15 and says I’m still in the room waiting. So I called the call centre from my partners phone so I could stay in the room. I was told to hang fire as it can take 20 minutes after the start time. So I did.

I was then kicked out ‘ Sorry, you were denied access to the meeting.’ I attempted 2 more times with the same result.

So I called back again. I was told you only get so much time or they start without you! Absolutely shocking service and behaviour. I have personal matters to attend to and have made arrangements for today. It’s okay though, you can re-book free of charge!! What a disgrace.

I thought the instructor has to get through like 30/50 people which is why it can take 30 minutes. But no, 9 people is all they have to get through to show ID!! How does this take half an hour!!

I’ve had to now make arrangements again to do it tomorrow. I’m currently waiting for a manager call back so will see if that happens. If not, I will be doing everything possible to expose this behaviour.

Lee was fantastic, funny, friendly and very knowledgeable, made the course enjoyable.

If you get stuck with this company take the 3 points and fine, joke of a company, instructor talks to you like a naughty 5 year old, and make sure you have a pen handy or you’ll get kicked off the course and made to re book it. Sent a complain but the complaints team are as useless as the instructor was

Both Heather and Ken were very professional and made the presentation interesting, relevant and gave some useful tips.
