My first order.
First of all, excellent packing of goods, nothing was damaged. I have tried half of the items ordered including bacon, pies, sausage rolls and quiche. The pork pie was actually one of the best I have ever had. All the other items were very good and I will be reordering some of them.

Top Notch!
The meat is excellent and very well packaged. However, the Beef Wellington I recently purchased, although very nice, due to the size (serves 2), the mushroom pate melts into the meat rather than being a separate "feature"; ideally, it needs to be bigger and to serve 4 - I think then it would cook better and look like the picture. I understand why it's been made smaller but for £37, I think it's a little over priced.
I will continue to buy my meat from Dukeshill and I'd also like to mention that the customer service is very good, also. Despite the slightly negative review of the Beef Wellington, I would still highly recommend DukesHill for quality and service.

I must be honest I was not really…
I must be honest I was not really expecting the quality I received. There was plenty of meat on the ham hock and the potatoes were creamy and tasty . Very impressed will order again . Thank you.🏴🙋🏼♀️

The food was exceptional BUT...
The food was exceptional, and we will definitely order from you again BUT the communications were a bit problematic. Firstly, I had to phone you to get the 10% discount for first ever order properly applied. Then the order information had no mention at all of the free fillet of salmon I was promised, so I was not sure whether that had been included until checking by phone. Then, when the goods were delivered, the St George's Ham came with cooking instructions! This sent me into a momentary panic as I have never cooked a ham that large before and haven't got the equipment to do so. This was the centre piece of the table for 16 guests next day, so didn't want to serve them a raw ham! Of course the ham was actually cooked, but it arriving with instructions how to cook frightened the horses unnecessarily! It was funny in the end but please send better literature with your cooked hams.

Fabulous customer service
I have been a customer for a few years. We particularly love the steak pies ( you must give them a try). They are packed full.of.meqt in a nice pastry and freezer well too.
During the heatwave my order that was due to arrive for a family picnic was delayed by a day which meant it would be too late. I phoned to cancel.my order as I was away all.weekend. The order still arrived so was no good after two days on the doorstep. All I can say is give this company a chance to rectify before posting a bad review. I informed them and they have gone up.and beyond to rectify this. They were very apologetic and immediately agreed to refund me. I then got a message through their FB page saying they would like to send my order again completely free of charge which they did and as always the food was outstanding, quiches, pork pie, sausage rolls, salmon, steak pies all amazing. Their customer service and attention to detail is second to none.
I was initially upset as it was a lot of food and money to waste but I now have every confidence to order again knowing that on occasions when mistakes happen they will put right.
Thank you Dukeshill Team, you are all a credit to the company.

1st 3 or 4 orders very good...
but last order was a variety of sausages [expensive] and all packs were bad ie gone off.but were in date .food was cooked same day they arived .not ordered since.
they were informed but no offer of replacement or money back.just not good business sence.

I’ve had 3 orders now and all were…
I’ve had 3 orders now and all were truly brilliant. The quality of all their produce is excellent, I can’t fault it. I did have a suggestion for them which was to put a layer of plastic in between the pies that I’d ordered and the ice packs, which were in danger of melting and making the pies soggy.They took notice of this and the next two orders included plastic wrapping. Customer service is excellent. Rilliant all round.

It arrived Monday having been sitting…
It arrived Monday having been sitting in Inverness since Wednesday. This the normal DPD service for the household customers - they only transfer from Inverness to Stornoway at the weekend. They are not a good carrier for the island.

I bought a sourdough loaf that was simply awful. I reviewed it truthfully on their website, nasty, dry and no flavour (waste of £4.90) but the review has been removed twice after saying it was "pending review". Not impressed at all with the bread and the review not showing.

Brilliant pies!
I have tried many a pie from very many shops big and small and can say at last I have found one that is filled properly with meat and tastes amazing. Cooked very easily with pastry that is crisp and short. Will buy again. Also had quiches delivered which again were just brilliant. The ham joint perhaps a little smaller than thought but nevertheless very tasty. All arrived very well packed and delivered chilled in the middle of a heatwave in very good condition. Well done DukesHill.

Large order of food that was too late.
Large order of food that was ordered for a family party did not arrive in time for the party and forced us to have to find a suitable alternative within two hours.
Having ordered hams for numerous years and recommending your company to our friends we were even more disappointed with the dismissive attitude shown to us after the event .

“Another one bites the dust” (Order, and door!)
First in truth, I have already genuinely very positively, deservedly as well, posted a review for DukesHill.
But I see another email invitation since my recent order so….
And as well, repeat reviews are critical and show even more so lol…
Well again, identical ease as ever so quickly placing the order first.
I struggle personally with focus and attention.
Sites checkout even basketing’s processes CAN be a little cryptic and I say flawed in slight- until you LEARN exactly how THAT whole site operates lol

Zero “learning” haha placing orders with DukesHill.
Please people value this like I. It’s a responsibility ultimately of a small but thriving company to make ordering a virtual parkwalk for people like myself with an optic nerve injury hence inability to peruse too formally.
So, on that, they live up again! Enough don’t and I wish they would.
So appreciate this also please- a month and half after my last order, I speed to checkout.
Again, next day delivery, IF, I want it! Yes please Sir!
Click, and my goods were safely with me next morning.
Another note- it was a hot day and I received always clear warm email from DukesHill night before, saying tomorrow’s orders will be sent with extra ice and by 1 pm no customer extra charge.
So just handing earned credit, DukesHill evidently are always fully mindful to ensure their goods are never exposed to any degrading agents like heat.
Excellent but easy open packaging always.
What else can I say? Time & time again they will come through.
I write the above not because I gain or am affiliated in any way, I’m a very happy customer life benefitting daily with respect from the goods I am delivered, no hyperbole I swear.
And they just operate supremely website to door, appear from my notice a real warm human collective driving DukesHill ready and happy to connect with any customer whenever, is my feeling also.
Let them grow though still, I suddenly see. Why not??
