Excellent , delivered before the expected date .

I have used this a few times, one order sent back straight away as plants in very poor condition, then tried again and second time much better. But just bought 25 larger plug plants, most plants half dead with some small signs of life, too tiresome to return. Plants sent out would be binned and or composted in a retail setting as unsellable.

Made a complaint about plant we purchased as requested we sent photo we have had no further contact from the C care we purchased quite a few plants over the years but we willl not be buying again

I ordered £612 worth of perennial plants from J Parkers. I have been buying from them for over 25 years. They are very well priced and so of course I know there is the risk that you get what you pay for. However this recent order came in an appalling state - I had 3 professional gardeners here to receive the order, ready to plant up the plants and care for them. They order was in their opinion well over 80% ruined. I must add that this was probably the fault of Evri who delivered the plants a week later than they said they were going to. However when i sent photographic evidence to J Parkers they replied that “ It is normal for perennials not to look their best at this stage as last years foliage is not removed. All the plants have strong root systems which have been checked prior to packing, therefore, we advise to plant them up directly into the garden or in to a larger pot if preferred and advise further in the unlikely event they fail to come through with new growth in the next 2-3 weeks”
This felt like a total joke as I had literally sent photographs of withered, black, dead plants. I strongly believe that most of the other big plant wholesalers and sellers would have taken responsibility and replaced the plants. I would like to post the pictures here, however unfortunately this doesn’t seem to be an option.

Every thing poor quality control a bad courier I cannot trust them to deliver a very bad experience has was surprise for my daughter

Have used Parker's for a few years now...plants are always well-packaged & arrive in good condition.
The delivery for my latest order was split, with my lavender arriving just a few days after ordering, and my 2 pre-planted hanging baskets arriving today. Baskets are really well-planted with LOTS of healthy surfinias, and I'm confident they'll look amazing once they start flowering. Thanks!

Plants arrived in excellent condition

We used Parkers years ago when they supplied us with over 200 bare root roses they all flourished and we still have many of them today but this year we tried to purchase 9 replacements to replace a few that were showing signs of their many years age. However only 3 are now showing signs of growth the rest have died owing to appalling delivery time. Nevertheless I have still been loyal to you and have purchased quite a few plants for our 2 acre floristically attractive garden.Both of us in our old age are keen gardeners - I'm a degreed botanist. I had to phone yet again this week when our last order arrived 8days after despatch -the alpine Asters were full of dark brown mushy leaves totally rotted and 1 of the 2 Gaura was almost dead it had been snapped in transit! Regettfully We cannot buy from you any more. It is the delivery firm at FAULT. They keep parcels too long at their depot. Their courier Gordon does his best as a self employed driver.

Novice gardener here. Love J Parker bulbs. Website is excellent at helping me find the right plant for the right position in my garden. Good quality bare root roses and other plants. Bought some ground cover plants, not sure what they were. No woodies the containers the same in had back, middle and front so taller plants wouldn't obscure the shorter one. They've thought of everything.

I don't know how they have 80% 5 star reviews if you look further most of them are 1 star with good reason their plants are sub standard and don't come true as advertised one of my disappointments was the Iris wonders never cease that took two seasons to flower was just a plain white, most of the seeds ordered were sub standard and did not germinate and other plants were not as expected not the quality plants I was expecting please avoid this company and spend a little more with a proper supplier

I was hoping to be able to post a photo of my beautiful white irises that I have waited for 3 years to flower (because the plants supplied are so small) but I can't see that facility here and that's a shame on two counts a, they are stunning but b, it wasn't what I ordered! I ordered some burnt orange ones that went with the other plants in this border. When you look at their catalogue, they don't even sell white irises! Any way, that's it for me. I've spent a small fortune with Parkers over the past 3 decades or so and I've had more failures from them than enough. In recent years a lot of the plants have been rotting when they've arrived and replacements were no better and now this is the last straw. I won't be spending another penny with them. I'm out!

Difficult to make contact with customer service but once they respond you get a quick response!

I was extremely impressed with my purchase. They arrived safely and promptly before estimated date. This is now 3 weeks after delivery and all seedlings/cuttings are thriving. Have recommended these guys to my gardener friends and family and i will definitely be using them again in the future. Thanks for making my garden even more beautiful.

Not an issue with J Parker exactly but rather the choice of courier (Evri). The plants I ordered were sitting in an Evri warehouse for a week prior to delivery and arrived looking very weak and stressed. This is the second time I have had a delivery from J Parker that has incurred a long delay with the same courier.

I ordered 5 different varieties of plants. Only one variety (ground cover) was fine. The 15 x grasses still look half dead (or should I say 12 as 3 have died). The hydrangea was like a stick plant and now showing vague signs of life at the base. The agapanthus bulbs roots were broken or shrivelled. There again is vague life from them but not great. After 2 months of nurturing I would have expected more - plants I have bought after them are thriving a hundred times better.
All I got from customer service is they will get better once planted. Not good enough!
I have ordered once before from J Parkers many years ago and had the same scenario of dead plants on arrival but was told they would come back to life once planted which didn’t happen. Only ordered from J. Parkers again as they had a specific variety of grasses I wanted. Mistake…won’t be buying from them again!

I've ordered quite a lot from this company and all I can say is there plants are at the highest quality you'll never find in a garden centre,it's affordable and depending on what you order outstanding results, however the last order was lots of different petunias of several colours and markings but I found when it came to the blue petunia they all died?all the rest are amazing but it's just the blue range isn't any good which is a shame as it was going to be a key feature in the display,not sure if I should order the blue again
