Poor Management, quick to pull you on your performance, but very lacking in their own.
Worked form 20/09/22 to the 12/10/22 @ Cross green Leeds site, wasn't supplied with overalls and boot even though I gave my sizes to the lady at the recruitment company. Maintenance staff in a very tight clique with the Maintenance manager and also with the works manager and area maintenance manager, wasn't ever taken round and introduced to personnel, management full of big ideas but basics were never implemented, when they were doing heavy lifting and installation of large parts they didn't follow their own safe working procedures @ nearly maimed/killed a fitter/operator and I could see this coming from days before, too many cooks spoil the broth is the saying, dangerous to rush heavy work, accident waiting to happen!
No doubt they will get away with it, IE, cover it up.
If know one is demoted/ and or seriously reprimanded, the coverup must be from the top down.
The lads on the shop floor were great and would always help me.
The Place is a death trap waiting to happen.
They're certainly not a welcoming company to work for.
Don't work here if you expect to be looked after.

Don’t use them i visited the Wandsworth branch on the 1st of September and took in some 114 kg of house holdcable 129kg heavy copper 119kg low grade cable 4kg electric motor they gave me my ticket for £1,084.50 i then drove round and tipped some iron and then back on the weigh bridge and got a ticket for £32.50 total £1,117 pounds this was on a Thursday Friday morning I went to work and the boys at work asked how much money did we get i showed them the ticket and I paid 3 of them £250 each and £250 for me £117 for the apprentice as far as I was concerned what was on the ticket was correct on the Saturday my wife said that they had only paid in £657 76 in to my bank account so I had to wait till Monday morning to call them for the lady on the phone to tell me that they had graded it wrong and that was all I was going to get if I didn’t like it to come back and sort it out with the boys? After calling customer service and spoke to a lady she put me through to the manager at Wandsworth who was going to sort it out and call me back after waiting couple of days i called back and he told me that the area manager was going to call me to sort it out i have made phone calls and phone calls just to be told that the manager is on holiday and that the area manager is going to call me lady on the phone at Wandsworth said that I can not have the phone number of the area manager i am basically out of pocket off over £500 because they made a mistake if i hadn’t called them back Monday morning to complain and find out why they had no intention to call me and let me know about there mistake how many more people have been ripped off by them changing their minds after they have given you your ticket Steve

Avoid this place at all cost employment wise and selling them anything. They do not respect anyone especially people of color. They are openly racist and talk to the employees any kind of way. There are companys out there that will treat people way better and as far as selling them anything I would go to Sgt. Scrap at least they respect you and pay u what your supposed to get payed

Phoned them. Got a fair price. They took the car the next day and paid the money straight into my account. Excellent.

worked for them for 4 years, absolute horribe people to work with, the bullying, the nastiness, the hatred atmosphere, best day when i quit and walked out.

It's not worth a star it's 7:30 on Monday morning and it's not clean we can't go in to download it is in the Sandwell area , I sit and wait 2 hours for it to clean.it is not OK

Took what I thought was a little scrap and got treated as if I was royalty, really nice cheerful and helpful guys with more than a joke or two in them ! Highly delighted with payment amount and would not go anywhere else in the future. Well done guys.

They made an offer on their app and didn't stick to it they were actually £43 short even though car was complete ,cat was valued at £1 more than they said, key was there, 5 alloys battery as well when I asked why "oh thats what the system says " no explanation SELLER BEWARE

First time ever as a woman going to the scrap yard. I needn't have worried because I was treated very respectfully by every man in that place. I would definitely go back again. Much better to take scrap into EMR than just dispose of it, since it reduces environmental pollutants if it is recycled rather than going to land fill. It is also supporting local industry - and the men working there were really nice. Richard and Russell especially helped me; one helped me to unload my car and the other even promised not to reveal my weight to anyone when I had to drive my car onto the weigh bridge! (He looked trustworthy).
New to scrap yards? Rest assured that you can go there with complete peace of mind; just take your photographic identification driving license or passport and bank account details. They set you up an account should you want to return again. All very professionally executed, I received the scrap money the next morning into my bank account £44.50 - Thank you

got a quote, left my details and received a call to confirm. car was collected and paid full quoted price. never scrapped a car before so wasn't sure how to go about it but these guys made it so simple. also gave the best price for my scrap.

Today they ripped me off with the price of a catalytic converter, it came straight off a 2017 Vauxhall Combo 1.7l diesel van, the first price quoted was £252 then changed to 3/4 of this price after giving some nonsenical reason. The question is, is this a common occurence at EMR Metal Recycling ?

Process from start to finish couldn’t have been simpler.
Put my Reg in. Was quoted a price online. Received a call within 1 hour and advised to upload v5. Uploaded docs, 1 hour later I received a call saying it would be collected by 1pm. At 1:05pm I received a text staying the payment had been made.
Within an hour the full balance quoted online was paid into my account.

I just recently had a vehicle collected by EMR, and I cannot fault them for their service, fast and very efficient, their delivery driver Ian was very helpful and polite. 5star.
I will definitely use their services again.

Absolutely great experience with my day return to Derby from St Pancras. Polite and very helpful staff, clean trains and excellent timings. Would have gone by car but so much easier to use this train company. Thank you all at EMR for a wonderful stress free day out.

They valued my car at £250, then sold on for £3000 as is... be very aware you will be ripped off... severely!!

I along with 5 (out of total of 10 staff) other Staff were made redundant in EMR Brentford in 2020, this included the depot manager, Weigh Bridge administrators (one of which refused to work on a Saturday) ELV Operative, Forklift/Shovel driver and a part time crane operator. Furloughed was started around late March/April 2020 and the depot at Brentford was closed for a period of time due to the lack of business, ( I understand this unusual time ), I now see advertised on LinkedIn and Total Jobs the positions that were made REDUNDANT 6 MONTHS ago are now being re advertised on the above web sites through different agencies. Can somebody out there please let me know if this is the correct working procedures or is there a case of UNFAIR DISMISSAL (During the extended furloughed scheme) for the 6 staff who were made redundant, any advice would be helpful, Many Thanks

EMR are advertising again for a weighbridge administrator (am I surprised not !!!), this position is a very confrontational and abusive job, the public you deal with can be on occasions very, very awkward and without the support of the depot/area/general manager, they would rather stab you in the back than lose money from the business, I would recommend anybody to stay away from this position having worked at Brentford for six years (2014 to 2020) because you have to work on your own with virtually no support) email me if you want a chat about this advertised job (overworked under paid, stay away if you have any common sense)

I have received a reply from EMR (I don’t know who asked me to reply, I have asked for a contact name, but no joy, I’m not surprised) and they asked me to reply and I named names times and dates (over two weeks ago) without a reply.

Scrapped my van and was quoted £225.00,
When i took the van in everything was as quoted.
I subsequently got my payment 3 days later but was only paid £209.00. so much for there (WHAT WE QUOTE IS WHAT WE PAY) I phoned up three times and was told that they would look into it, I have never had my calls returned as they said they would, I have also emailed them and not had a reply.
Absolutley terrible service and OUTRIGHT LIARS.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
