Do Not Trust Food Basics zEvert time I have gone to pick groceries (like chicken quarters today Sept 9 2025 @ 1.98/lb) they claim it is sold out. They just advertise deals without having the stock. This is done to make customers to visit the stores. Don’t ever fall for this trick.

I wanted to thank you for putting such wonderful specials ! I bought 11 baskets of tomatoes which were so red and delicious and the price 3.48 a basket was amazing. I enjoy the friendly staff as well, they are very helpful.

Staff and manager was very rude.

It's not hard to Google research which companies are Canadian-owned. You can't trust the maple leaf indicators on the shelves. Let's start with Christie and Campbell's. If it employs Canadians, if it is packaged here but made/owned elsewhere, the maple leaf is still false. Stop selling all that American produce... I will not put it in my cart. Just be honest. It isn't that hard.

I went to the Food Basics at the Sherwood Forest Mall, London Ontario. A staff named Andrew who was helping me, over and beyond the usual assistance. I was looking for coconut oil but I couldn't find it. I asked Andrew and he led me the way to the isle and explained to me the different kinds of choices. I completely appreciated his passions in working at Food Basics. I will shop there as my primary grocery shopping store from now on. Thank you.

Oakville FoodBasics manager at Speers and Kerr is rude and abusive to his staff and customers, and needs to be replaced.

'Brennan' is in a word, a bully. He is very abrasive, impatient, and angry.

An individual like this does not need to be in a management position.

He will turn on his heel and walk away from a customer speaking their concerns.

Many members, and families of The Oakville Rotary Club, Lion's Clubs and other Oakville groups are boycotting the 530 Kerr St location.

This will 100% continue until he is replaced.

The previous managers at that location were very well received by the Oakville and surrounding communities.

'Brennan' has not, not at all, not remotely.

Let the boycott continue.

It’s 7 pm & 15 people on self checkout & 2 cashier counter are operational. Guys you need to clear the customers faster than this.
I do understand cost cutting but not at the expenses of your customers.

I used their online order system, and the order was not fulfilled, even though I place the order early in the morning for 5 pm, so I never picked it up. Now they won't refund me my money. I've left questions both at the 888 number and through the email portal, but no response after almost a week!

I don't know how this store stays in business. Between the flyer deals not being honoured in certain locations to not having flyer ITEMS in all locations, this store is bottom of the barrel.

So there's no way a customer can get a refund on a bag that was purchased with hard earned money, " the product was full of mold, is that why it's a surprise bag Foodbasic".
The manager said complain to the app, we'll isn't a managers roll to
make sure that his employees are doing there job? I feel taken advantage of and made a fool of. I received 7 bags of 🥯 and not one was good, you save $34, so why don't the employees and the manager consume the bagels. I'm still expecting a refund and no reached out to me. I would have better luck at a foodback, to say the least. Am I the only one, don't think so. Please complain if this happens to you. Thank you Foodbasic on Kennedy and Vodden in Brampton. I used to shop at food basics Ottawa / lackner location, bought some of there brand name cheese, the other day when making burgers went to slice some of their disgusted cheese with mold spots and the expiry was sept 2025// how is there blue mold spots on cheese to expire in 4 months,, i wrote head office and was told they would gladly give a refund of approx.5 $ + tx, Lol lol, what a complete joke it would cost more to drive there, let alone i did not " save " your gross cheese. What a disgrace this response was...unbelievable!!! What is believable is i will not spend another dollar in your disgusting grocery store again.

Just left your Rossland/Wilson Store where they have taken away all the hand baskets. I dont do big grocery trips so rely on those baskets to hold my items. I live on Wilson Rd N so the store is very convenient to me and Im often there several days a week. However I will investigate other stores to perhaps shop where it is more convenient to pick up a few groceries. Have a good day.

I had a few meetings with Brian the manager of Food Basics Hampton Park on Kirkwood. He was extremely knowledgeable and was able to resolve a problem. The store is amazing with fresh fruit and vegetables. I do most of my shopping there due to the lower price than anywhere else.
