Frogtape Avis 112

Spent 4-5 hours carefully laying down frog tape joining some anaglypta wall i was painting and door frames and skirting. I did things properly, i painted over the boundary with white paint same colour as the woodwork. I waited for it to dry. I then painted the anaglypta purple. Two coats. I then pealed the frogtape off when it had dried. To my horror somehow the purple paint had got over 1/4 inch underneath the edge of the frog tape. In addition the frog tape pulled away strips of latex paint on the door frame. I've put down about 50-60 yards of frog tape. The distance between the paint wicking underneath is no more than 2-3 inches. In other words i've got to spend hours going over the woodwork again painting it. The hydroscopic boundary on the sticky side of frogtape is completely useless, and that is frogtapes only selling point, if that doesn't work - and it doesn't, just use normal masking tape. I'm raging, the amount of time i invested into carefully making sure this exact scenario didn't happen, and the worst possible scenario did happen. Thank you frog tape.

Dreadful...id taken so much time and effort with my latest project so thought id treat myself to a 'good quality ' tape. Absolutely ruined all my hard work now I've got to start repairing the damage. Took all the paint off in a big border all round the rm where id put it even though I followed the guidelines...FUMING!!!

DON’T use it. I followed instructions and now I have to repaint my cornices. It ripped the paint off. CRAP product.

It is not delicate at all, i used it on door frame to paint in white on the walls and after 4 hours whe i remove it all paint from frame come of sticked on the tape , waste of money

Frogtape Delicate surface masking tape.

Well all I can say is that it definately doesn't do what it says on the tin! It's far to sticky and just pulled off my lovely paintwork so now I've had to re fill around my painted shelves and cut everything in by hand..... Hopeless product..... Delicate surface tape? Don't think so! OMG how I wish I'd read the reviews first!

Pulled the paint off the walls and I had to redo all my borders. Seen in shop and bought as it was more expensive, I regret not checking reviews first

Ruined my wall! Does not do what it is suppose to do, in fact, it does the opposite and to make matters worse, it left a green spot on my wall that created further issues. Reached out to them and absolutely nothing happened. Not recommended!

Absolutely Raubbish ! I dont understand why they charge so much when this tape does exactly the opposite of what its supposed to. It ruined all my walls ripped off very expensive paint that I dont have access to anymore so thats great , On top of that it bleeds through!
Horrible tape please save your money people and just get a ordinary duct tape.

Diabolical, it pulled all the paint off.
Dispute following all instructions & purchasing low tack yellow frog tape, this tape pulled all the paint off the ceiling.
Expensive product & ruins your decorating work.

Clearly the average score for this shows how poor this product really is. And how they can justify the price they charge for this... it's unethical

This is an absolutely terrible product. After just two hours on my wall, it pulled off all my fully dried and cured Farrow & Ball paint — Their customer service is equally awful — despite providing clear evidence, including photos and receipts, I was essentially gaslit and refused any refund or compensation. I’m seriously considering reporting this to Trading Standards.

Do not waste your money. Buy the normal cheaper tape. It Pulled off all our paint. Not just the freshly painted walls but every wall we’d ever painted. An absolute scam!!!! Does not do the job it promises to do.

Absolute garbage! Paint block technology is a lie! Painted my walls 3 days prior so purchased the LOW ADHESIVE tape (yellow). Painted my skirting boards (black) removed the tape to reveal black paint had bled under the tape (paint block technology a lie) and not only that but it then proceeded to pull off the paint I had applied 3 days prior! Don't waste your money!

Absolute rubbish. Taped meticulously and pressed down hard. So called paint block technology is non existent. Lines are all scabby. Would have been much better free-handing.

Unfortunately you can’t put 0 for the score. This is absolutely rubbish now, used to be good, I’ve now got to repair every wall that has been painted as it pulls the paint off after. Apparently the yellow tape is non bleed, it’s bleeding rubbish and has bled under the tape which is great when you are blending from black to white. Sort it out frog tape or stop ripping people off

Absolutely worst decorating decision I made, when you take tape off it pulls paint off so don't waste even more time by using it because ya gonna spend much more time repairing the paint

Absolute rubbish , did not do the job as intended , when removed it took all the paint off . Had to repaint .

Absolute garbage of tape. Use Duck brand blue tape. Frogtape WILL NOT stick to any textured surfaces at all!! I WILL NEVER buy this overpriced tape again!
