Futon Company Avis 

Relatively tricky to assemble.
Futon itself is thinnish,squishy,not like solid,firm futon I am used to.
But overall,OK,and it is as decribed.

Great product. It looks fantastic now but it was difficult to order a bulb to fit. We tried a ses candle (too high) and golf ball (too wide) but both didn’t fit. So clearer information about which size bulb is suitable or even a bulb supplied would be helpful.

The sales associate was polite and very knowledgeable about the products. Highly recommend.

Was able to order on line and pick up at a shop near me. The staff there (Finchley Road) are always super friendly and helpful.

The order arrived promptly.

The bags are for my granddaughters' Christmas Stockings. I'm sure they will love them.

Ordered the ‘air bench’, was ideal for what we needed and very easy to assemble. Looked like the photos and was the correct measurements. It’s definitely not a ‘bench’ as would not take the weight of a child let alone an adult, but we anticipated it would not be strong enough for sitting and are happy enough with the storage for shoes etc.

The shipping process was very slow, which is sad as it appeared to be a third part issue rather than The Futon Company. It said it required a signature and was due to arrive on a given day so I made sure I was home for this, but it didn’t turn up until 5 days after (around 10 days after purchasing). I did contact the courier (APC) directly but they gave unclear and vague shipping instructions. Would be worth The Futon Company looking into this as it has put me off ordering from the website again if this courier is involved.

I visited the Oxford shop recently to order a sofa bed and the staff there, Vickie and Haroldas, were very knowledgable and answered all my questions about dimensions patiently and advised wisely. When there had been an issue with delivery, Vickie went out of her way to ensure that the bed was delivered on time, and now we have a top quality piece of furniture at a very reasonable price. I had been so impressed by the professionalism shown and will not hesitate to buy from them again.

Love the product. Communication could have been a bit better and shop staff could have been a bit friendlier

Shopping at The Futon Company has been a really excellent process. Adam was extremely helpful last week and again today when we returned to make the purchases. Adam is knowledgeable and very helpful but not at all ‘pushy’ - a perfect balance!
The quality of the furniture and choices are very good indeed and the pieces chosen should be perfect for the limited size of the setting. Delivery cost and option is really valued.
Adam was a key factor in the decision to stay with Futon rather than research elsewhere. He is an asset to the company. Thank you.

Great product . Delivery wasn’t great !

Ordered the Oak Loop Futon as a guest bed after an excellent customer service experience given by Annabel in the Exeter store. Hoping she got some recognition for the sale, as unable to put the order on in store using PayPal. Also excellent after service when we picked it up. The Futon is very well made, using good quality materials. Happy with my purchase. Thanks 🙏

Good stuff, worth it

The product in general is value-for-money, though a higher wood quality (not a mixture of different wood type pieces), is expected.

The delivery was on time. I am very pleased with the product

My delivery was scheduled between 7am to 10am.They showed up at 18.45 and didn’t even apologise.
Terrible experience.

5 stars for the lovely, high-quality furniture. Good solid wood, nice finish, looks brilliant. But the delivery charges are excessive. I bought two leaning bookcases in-store, and was told, if collecting, it was not known when I'd be able to collect ("could be weeks and weeks"), but of course if I paid for delivery, they could arrive within 3-5 days (surprise surprise!). Bit of a con but ok. Delivery was £20. But then, because I was ordering two bookshelves, not just one, it had to go up to £35! Never heard of a delivery fee going up because you're buying two items not one (with the shelves I later bought online, the delivery fee is nominal and does not change no matter the number of items). The shop assistant mumbled that the fee was so high because the items were 'bulky' and the delivery was specialist and difficult. Low and behold, day of delivery, the chap unloaded the two flat pack parcels from the van with casual ease, and even carried one into the house one-handed. Not bulky at all. So, really nice items, and a nice shop and nice staff; but massively don't appreciate being taken for a ride on the delivery charges. Poor way to structure pricing, in my opinion.

I found this white leaning ladder shelf unit more difficult to put together compared to the oak leaning ladder unit.
