GROVE PENSION SOLUTIONS Avis 

ABSOLUTELY APPALLING - DO NOT USE!! I WOULD GIVE THEM MINUS STARS IF I COULD!!

Used them 10 years ago and they messed up. When I complained, an email sent to me included an attached email they had sent to the pension company stating a deliberate misquote from Grove to them about something that they claim that I said - I didn't. Completely unprofessional.

Gave them another chance in July 2019 - big mistake. If anything they're now even worse as it took until the third member of staff to wake up to vital and pertinent information that they had missed and this was after NEARLY TWO MONTHS.

Dealing with Grove is like going into a 70s time warp of trying to deal with a nationalised industry and their fifth rate, lazy and incompetent staff.

Firstly, I phoned them and they appeared to have a dim child answering the phone. First she dropped the phone, then after three attempts to identify me, the client, by my post code, she couldn't trace me. Three times I clearly stated the post code and three times the dim child got it wrong.

Every subsequent email from them to me had grammar and spelling mistakes in it. Every.One.Without exception.

Every 'promise' of when paperwork would be sent to me failed. Promised in one week. No show. Rang up to complain and again promised within a week, but currently, it is now nearly three weeks on and they still haven't sent it.

In addition, they have this peculiar high handed attitude. For example 'we will call you next Wednesday'. Excuse me? How about asking THE CLIENT (from whom you have received considerable monies) when the call would be convenient?? In fact, JUST PICK UP THE BLOODY PHONE NOW AND GET ON WITH IT!! I said 'Why can't you call me before then anyway'? Answer: 'All the available calling time appointments are already booked'. Huh? Truly The Twilight Zone!!

Finally, Grove doesn't know it's 2019. Phone is not answered after 5pm (what did I say about the 70s time warp?) and the staff are not available.

I am currently launching a complaint with them which may end up in the hands of the FCA.

DO NOT USE GROVE, IN FACT, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT. I GUARANTEE IT WILL BE SOMETHING YOU WILL REGRET FOR YEARS.

Grove was very good. They explained carefully and clearly my options and the implications of the decisions I made. I would recommend them to anyone

I would rate grove pensions simply the best. They dealt with my situation with professionalism

A seemless process by a competent company with professional, helpful and knowledgeable people.

These people have been bombarding me with unsolicited emails and post. I do not know how they got my details but I wish they would go away.

Update: They claim that I opted in and requested their service. I most certainly did not. A couple of weeks ago I was on holiday in Germany. Since then my spam folder has been filling up with a load of rubbish. Much of it seems to be due to being on a database of a German company called Aventura. So while I was in Germany something has got on my iPad or iPhone and opted me in to receiving all this utter crap. Grove’s emails and letters started at the exact same time. Not a coincidence I think.

Update 2: I received an email telling me that they had taken my name off their database and I would receive no further marketing material. Three days later the next marketing letter landed on my doormat.

I could not praise Grove Pensions enough. They always kept me informed of how things were progressing and were very efficient.
The most important thing I found was they talked to me in simple terms so I could understand what was happening.

kept sending me letters even if I do not have a pension in UK so I hit unsubscribe

Process was a little long to begin with but I understand that a third party was involved so the delay is kinda expected very friendly staff and very helpful when required but communication could have been a little more regular but overall a quite good experience would definitely recommend grove pension solutions and use them again in the future

Got unsolicited contact email after they clearly got my details from a website that I visited. I DID NOT agree to being contacted nor did I unwittingly agree via terms and conditions on the website I visited. I would never entertain any business that obtains contact info in such an underhand manner.

To begin with I was having to keep chasing for updates, so much so that the time limit given to move my funds had expired and I had to pay for a re-calculation. Following this I started to get regular updates and was kept informed of the progress of my transfer and cash-in value.

It was so easy fill the form and they do the rest highly recommended quick easy and know what they are doing great advice as well

Overall was very pleased with how they dealt with my claim and would recommend grove to anyone who needs help releasing their pension. I've not given 5 stars as my only criteria was their failure to all me back on one occasion when I left a message with them. This may have been due to them being busy not sure but everything did get sorted in the end
