Wheel trim fell off car as soon as we started driving following new tyres being fitted. Had to call out a a garage as the steering wheel was shaking as we went faster than 50mph. Wheels were totally out of balance

Booking was very easy and the price was less than I had imagined it would be. The technician was on time, professional, friendly and very clear in his explanations of the problem, the solution and the work that he needed to do. I know nothing about cars and he was very good at explaining without being patronising. I will certainly use Halfords again based on this experience.

I did not have a good experience with Halfords' tyre fitting service. I asked if they could swap the front and rear wheels, but they refused, even though it would only take around five minutes. I've never been turned down for this at any other tyre fitting service, and many garages do it free of charge as a courtesy. As a customer, I expect this level of convenience and service. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I won't be using Halfords again and will be taking my car to a garage that offers this service without any hassle.

I had a great experience with my tyre change. The technician was very polite, friendly, and completed the job quickly. He was also really informative and pointed out that another tyre would need replacing soon, which I wasn't aware of. Thanks to his advice, I'll be ordering a replacement this weekend. Excellent service all round!

Great service. Able to track engineer so no need to wait in.

Perfect from start to finish. Slightly more expensive. BUT the convenience more than outways that. No hanging around. Allowed me to get on with other things and just get back for the agreed time. Will definitely book again.

An efficient auto engineer, but he was given a 2 man job so I had to assist. This should have been picked up by the office when the booking was made and installation advice given to the engineer before attending. It was not possible to complete the job in the 1 hour time slot and took almost 2 hours.

Halfords had a "come to you service" which made it much easier for me and worth a bit extra. The fitter that came was Adam and a really nice professional man.

One of the worst customer experiences I have ever had.
I purchased car tyres through Halfords' website. I had actually found the same tyres cheaper on Blackcircles, but I decided to pay extra because Halfords offered mobile fitting. That turned out to be a huge mistake.

A friend warned me beforehand that they often fail to turn up for Sunday appointments and that the excuse is always, "The mechanic has called in sick." I thought surely that couldn't be true.
It was.
The first red flag was a text message claiming they had tried to contact me but that I was unavailable. That was completely untrue. I called them immediately, navigated through an endless maze of automated options, only to be told that the mechanic had "called in sick."
What a surprise.
I asked the operator how I could make a formal complaint. She told me they would send me an email explaining the situation. That email never arrived.
This is a completely unacceptable and deeply frustrating experience. I have wasted two days waiting around, and now I have to take time off work and leave my car unused for several more days because of their failure to deliver the service I paid for.
The whole experience feels misleading, disorganised, and completely disrespectful of customers' time. If you can't provide the service you advertise, don't take people's money and leave them stranded.
Without question, this is one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had.
I will never buy anything from Halfords again—not even a single bolt.

Done to a high professional standard

The tyre fitter arrived on time and was pleasant and hard working.The booking process was easy,the pricing was good,the reminders were useful and tracking on the day was accurate.Excellent service which we'll use again in a couple of weeks for our 2nd car.

Had another Dash Cam fitted from Halfords. Great value for the money. Mebin was a great technician that worked quickly and professionally. Highly recommended!

A very efficient service.
Very good technician. Good to use the tracker to alert when the fitter was going to arrive

1. Took 4 separate bookings to get the job completed
2. The first technician who only fitted 2 of the tyres I ordered forgot to properly tighten the wheel nuts on 2 of the wheels leaving my car in a potentially lethal condition

Great mobile fitting service. Everything was done quickly, professionally, and to a high standard. Very convenient and hassle-free. I’m very happy with the service.
