Cian has tried really hard to make sure that I get the services needed for my car. As a first time car owner my experience with everyone at Handler has been less daunting because they are all very friendly and incredibly helpful

Worst warranty company I have ever seen, I took the warranty through a dealer and after 3/4 months my car's gearbox broke down suddenly, which was apparently covered in my gold warranty cover, I contacted them and they asked me to provide them with couple of documents so they could examine on their own but after two days they rejected my claim by saying that the car is aged, but the fun part is that sudden failure of gearbox is already covered in the warranty. I talked to them several times on calls and provided the required items. Their staff is extremely rude, the way they talked to me was so unbearable for me. They just blamed the car and don't accept any liability and try to prove you wrong with twisted policies. The worst warranty company I have ever seen here. Not recommended at all.

Dreadful . I purchase a car in August at the age of 64 . I drive it about once a week to visit family . On the A13 the day after the big storm i was driving towards home having visited my granchildren when the electric window independantly went down on both front sides . Luckily my daughter was with me . I managed to get it to go up but happened 2 more times so I called handler protect as i got an 18month warranty with vehicle. They asked for my details and a description of problem which i sent . Then they asked for a reason it failed the mechanic said switch broke which caused a short in system requiring new window motor . I sent this on and now they are tryingto claim wear and tear even thoughmechanic stated sudden failure not wear in his report. I feel like they are just trying to getaway with not paying out abd im not allowed to get car fixed because if i do they will void warrantyive been withoutcar for nearly 2 weeks now and there saying there appeal could take another 3 weeks . Without a car . I suffer from mobility issues .m so disappointed in the service im starting appeal today but don't hold out much hope .spoke to Cian in customer service listened to my concerns and we came to a mutually acceptable conclusion. Whilst initially our claim was rejected, there was a clear line of communication with Handler and in particular Tyrone. This enabled us to work with them to find a solution that benefited everyone. Which meant my car was back on the road quickly and effectively.

Absolutely appalled by the way this warranty is operated — it feels like a complete scam.
I took this warranty out when I bought the car specifically for peace of mind. In December, the car developed an unexpected fault and from that point on it’s been nothing but excuses and obstacles.
I spent over a month going back and forth with the warranty company and the finance provider. It was never made clear that I supposedly had only 30 days to obtain a diagnostic report and quotation — and this period fell over the Christmas holidays when many garages were closed or unwilling to carry out warranty work.
I was also told I could not take the car directly to Mercedes for diagnosis, which makes no sense for a premium vehicle. Despite repeatedly asking the claims handlers to recommend approved garages, I was told this was my responsibility — yet I was later penalised for not meeting their arbitrary deadline.
After weeks of delays, the claim was declined, first due to the vehicle’s age and mileage, and then conveniently because the 30-day period had passed. It feels like reasons were searched for retrospectively rather than the claim being assessed fairly from the start.
None of these restrictions or time limits were clearly explained when the warranty was sold. If they had been transparent, I would never have taken it out.
Avoid. This warranty offers no peace of mind whatsoever — only stress and disappointment when you actually need it.

Excellent service! You can call these guys up and get a friendly, helpful service.
I had some problems with the garage when I took my car for repair. I called Handler Protect and they provided guidance on what to do. I got my car fixed and back on the road.
I have no problem recommending Handler Protect. They were great!

Ridiculous. Arbitrarily refused to cover repair of failed injector which caused breakdown due to age and mileage of vehicle. Useless product and no customer service failed to support, assist or advise.

I had an issue with my car that I reported to Händler Protect. The service has been great!! Very easy to use and accessible from the start!! I spoke to Cian on the phone, who advised me well on the details of my policy and how this would work with getting the issue resolved!! Cian was very helpful and I was highly satisfied with the customer service I received.

Incredibly grateful to Cian who took my case into his own hands and was able to reach a helpful resolve with me. At first the process was confusing and has been quite stressful, but Cian truly came with incredible assistance and kindness. Very grateful for the help and professionalism.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
My car broke down within the date of the policy with gearbox failure.
To evidence my claim the first required photo evidence of the failed parts from within the gearbox.
This meant that I had no choice but to open up the gearbox. Once the garage opened up the gearbox, to get the photos that they required as evidence of the fault, I had to commit to getting the car fixed one way or another, because it takes 6-8 hours of time to open a gear box up, strip & diagnose the issue, & they can’t just close it back up again like closing a lid- once opened it has to be fixed to be put it back together.
Having been forced to open the gearbox to get the photo evidence that Handler Protect demanded, the garage would already, at this point, be owed a significant amount of money from the cost of the total repair, just for the stripping & diagnostic work.
The garage told me that they couldn’t keep the car up on the ramp for days.. or weeks.. awaiting the response (they obviously had other jobs waiting!) so they had to do the fix, which at this point was an inevitable necessity in any case, whether or not Handler Protect agreed to the reimbursement repair!
No garage would be able/willing to keep a car on a ramp indefinitely awaiting an inevitably lengthy warranty claim process.
Handler protect then decided that they needed to send an engineer to see the broken gearbox in person, to validate my claim, and when i explained the situation they informed me that my reimbursement request was invalidated because the work had been done.
This essentially means that their entire warranty policy is set up so that, in the case of the most expensive repairs- that involve gearboxes- their clients are unable to get a reimbursement because the very nature of the evidence they require at the start of the process forces them to agree to open up the gearbox, and hence agree to the repair, before they say whether they will reimburse them for it!!
IF photo evidence of the fault was not going to be sufficient evidence they should have arranged to send an engineer right from the start. The engineer could have opened the gearbox and seen the fault then and there.
The requirement for photo evidence (that was not, in the end, considered by them to be valid evidence was pointless and futile requirement that, in my case, only to lengthened the claim process to such a degree that I was forced to get the repair fixed before the claim was agreed.
The whole process that was followed meant that the entire warranty was not worth the money paid as there was no way i could have shown the evidence they required without invalidating my claim!

From submitting a claim which was rejected, not completely understanding why and trying to establish the exact reason for this, after speaking with Cian he was extremely helpful, polite and explained, what reading the ambiguous warranty list of what is and what isn’t included didn’t, helped me make more sense of it all. He also helped with settling our claim straight away. I can’t thank him enough for his efficient service.

I cannot tell you how amazing the service I received from Lucy and her manager Cian. I needed to get my car repaired as soon as possible as my mum who lives a few hours away has broken her leg. Lucy was so helpful in a stressful time and escalated the claim quickly to her manager who dealt with it straight away. They were both so polite and helpful in a time when customer service doesn’t seem very high priority with so many companies at the moment. This was definitely not the case with handler protect, they went above and beyond and I cannot recommend or thank them enough.
