Dishonest advertising. Published shipping schedules are not true, not even close. Purchased and paid for plant on 6/4/2026, the status remained "Pending Shipping" for three weeks. I checked on regular basis and they would never give me a solid answer. Customer service folks would not even try to investigate and see what they could do. They have ready answers of "Please be patient". I will never do business with them again.

I have ordered from them for a few years. If something doesnt grow, they credit you back along with a new free shipping code. Its easy to email them. The plants are unique and inexpensive to purchase. I have had good success with the astilbes, daylilies, toad lilies, raspberries, peonies.

Holland Bulb is awesome. I tried it because I wanted an amaryllis bulb. After seeing how wonderful they were I haven’t stopped buying their products. From Cala lilies,daffodils peonies and hostas and more, they are beautiful. . I have been truly thrilled with the items I have purchased.. The one time I had an issue, they were right on top of it! I was impressed. They truly do take care of their customers.

With many years of gardening experience at local nurseries and the big box stores, I was skeptical about ordering online, especially roots and pre-potted plants. Holland Bulb Farms does not disappoint! I have ordered bulbs, roots, and some pre-potted plants from Holland Bulb Farms since 2023 with satisfying results. Their bulbs and roots are amazing with immediate growth and healthy appearance. Their selection is amazing! I look forward to browsing website and ordering every season.

To begin with, the Holland Bulbs site was easy to navigate (unlike many others I visited). The wide selection of available plant material at very reasonable prices made my choice to purchase from Holland Bulbs an easy one. I've purchased from this site multiple times and each experience was a pleasant one. Their timely communication during the order and shipping phases was a real bonus.

My order was delivered promptly and was packed exceptionally well for shipping. My clematis has grown and bloomed the first year and I’m hoping for more blooms in years to come.

I had such a good experience with Holland Bulb Farms I wanted to share with everyone. I ordered 3 variety of clematis vines. They arrives in good shape but the post office left the box in the hot sun. Fortunately I realized it fairly quickly so moved the vines to the shade until I could plant them a few hours later. 2 of the 3 vines took off growing right away. The 3rd vine had just a couple of leaves that were clearly dying so I wasn't sure it would survive...but it did. Within a week or 2, all 3 vines were thriving. Since then, I've had 2 of the 3 vines routinely produce beautiful blooms.

Holland Bulb Farms stood behind all 3 vines when I wasn't sure one of them would survive. The vines they sent were healthy and packaged well - just watch out for USPS. Their pricing was very competitive and their customer service top notch. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with them again as they really earned my trust.

Ordered a "Live plant 'start'". I knew it was gonna' be small, but fully expected it to be healthy, green & alive!! It arrived 99% dead. I had to look, very closely, to find a bit of green. TRYING to bring it back to life, before tossing it!!

This business is completely inept and unreliable. The saffron bulbs I ordered as a gift arrived full of insects. HBF gave me a store credit which I tried to use a year later to send a friend some clematis starts. When they hadn't shipped after several weeks I cancelled the order. To use up the creditI ordered "in stock" plant starts for myself "ships in 1 to 3 days". Still no sign after a week. That's 3 out of 3 fails. It is amazing HBF stays in business. Completely terrible retail experience.

I received 30 dead plants. Immediately took photos and filed a claim. They did not even respond to me. There are many better places to buy plants.

Holland bulb farms sent all the wrong Dahlia bulbs, which of course, one does not know for months until they bloom. I wrote them regarding the 'error', as I received wrong colors and wrong size/configurations. No response. They are sloppy and unconcerned about their reputation. I guess they are content with no repeat orders.

I ordered 15 Turkenlouis Oriental Poppy roots from Holland Bulb Farms in September 2025. I finally got them when it was freezing cold but I planted them. Two bulbs came up and bloomed, both a different poppy that is pink. Although it is pretty, it is not the bright orange-red I expected or wanted for that spot. I contacted the company and sent them pictures. They would only refund the money for the two that I could document with a picture of the bloom, but it is not a genuine refund. They sent me a gift certificate to put towards some other product from them, but the amount of the gift certificate was less than the amount I paid for those two poppies. They would give nothing for the ones that did not come up or failed to bloom, stating that if they did bloom I could send pictures and those would be eligible for a similar adjustment. The amount of money I paid for the ones not reimbursed in any way was $l25. They said they will do the same type of refund for any others if they come up wrong, but nothing for the ones that don't come up at all.

I ordered 6 Blueberry Plants was sent 6 dead cuttings they had attempted to root, The phone number is not working! $76.00 You can get real plants at the local nursery rather than dead twigs from Holland Bulb!

I placed order for two gifts, scheduled to ship out within 48 hours. CONFIRMED availability prior to placing . Order should have shipped on Friday. Monday…. I received an email saying order canceled. NO reason given. Have called and left messages 3 times ( no representative available ever even during business hours ). NO return call, email, nothing . Customer service at its finest I suppose . Will never order again.

Truly disappointed with the plants I ordered. First my blackeyed Susan showed up and was completely moldy and rotten! The plant literally disintegrated in my hands! Then the annuals I received after taking an entire week of shipping through USPS looked like bags of wilted chopped lettuce that was a week past expiration! Some of the plants were as dry and crispy as the Sahara desert and had no chance of revival. I contacted the company immediately through their chat on their website and got no response. Then I contacted them via their email and sent photos and got no response. Today I got a canned email that said they would get back to me as soon as they could.
Meanwhile, I have dead plants and put the money I spent until they either decide to send me replacements that actually make it to me love or refund my money so I can repurchase from a local nursery or a more reputable online plant nursery! I will NOT be a return customer!

Sent someone else’s order to my address. Uses third-party off-shore company that only cancels and refunds. They do not send correct order. Cannot talk to an American in their office. Do not reply to concerns except for Third-party, off-shore refunds. A huge waste of time which delays timing of planting, if you can even find the plants you want that are now sold out elsewhere. A huge rip-off and disappointment.

Five out of seven amaryllis bulbs rotted before blooming, or in some cases, before growing. They replaced 2 bulbs when I sent pictures of their condition. The replacements rotted also.
