Homebase - Glasgow Avis 

Ordered the matara rattan garden sofa for a click and collect. Lewis brought it to my car and helped unload. With the box being too large to fit he offered to stay and help put all the individual items in my car. Was very impressed and surprised at the level of service. Having previously done this for another customer that day he pointed out a bag of fittings that he hadn’t seen yet which we dually found. Good to experience that level of customer service. Online order was ready really quickly. The colleague in store (Lewis) was really helpful and even carried the box out to our car and loaded it for us.

There was a part missing from the box but customer service have arranged to have a replacement sent out.

Order was easy and as was collection. However one of the light fittings has a bit snapped off so that’s why can’t get full rating.

Easy and rapid collection staff a pleasure to talk to

Online ordering was very quick, easy and efficient. The order was ready to collect within half an hour and we headed over to collect.
We went to the till and were served very quickly. The order was brought out on a trolley and the assistant kindly took it straight out to our car as it was a heavy set of chairs.
Great service, I will be inclined to do click and collect again and shop at Homebase even though the nearest branch is not particularly close by.

Ordered new flymo 360 online for collection next day, great price compared to other stores, staff were friendly and polite but they new nothing about their recycling policy including the manager of the store, I had to show and explain it to them.

My "order online / pick up instore" item was presented in very poor condition having been stored outside in the rain. The packaging was rotting and falling off, the instruction manual unintelligible.
The staff fulfilled their job adequately though weren't especially helpful when I asked whether waterproof sheeting could be supplied to re-package my purchase for transit home.
The product appears to be in adequate condition with all components supplied but is presently drying out before I attempt to assemble it.
I think it'll be OK in the end up though I feel Homebase need to up their game.

Edit: Homebase have been in touch and are kindly taking steps to mitigate for any further issues.
The product I bought dried out and is in good condition, was easy to assemble and is well suited for its purpose. Thank you Homebase for your prompt and courteous response, Duncan

Edit: one year on and the planters have fallen apart. The timber has spilt horizontally and that all four planters are now useless. Cheers Homebase for selling cheap inferior sh!t.
