The price was 40% better on the items I purchased, than anywhere else I could find online. Items came well-packed, and in new-in-box condition! Couldn't ask for more.

The absolute worst company to purchase…

The absolute worst company to purchase products from! They list things on their website as in stock and for a certain price! And then they try to drop shipped them from somewhere else and when the price changes from wherever they try to buy it online and be the middlemanthey try to pass it on to the customer after two months of saying they were just waiting for their supplier to refill the warehouse! Very poor customer service you’re better off purchasing your products from anywhere, but these people do not expect to be satisfied with your purchase

We’re sorry to hear about your experience, but we’d like to clarify what actually happened. The item you ordered was on backorder at the time of purchase, and unfortunately, the vendor later discontinued it. To still fulfill your order, we offered to ship from another warehouse, but that option came with higher shipping costs due to distance.

You chose to decline that option, so we promptly issued you a full refund.

We never list discontinued items as in stock, and we don’t change prices after an order is placed unless the customer approves a substitution. We always strive to communicate transparently and offer fair solutions when supplier issues arise.

They sent the wrong items

They sent the wrong items. After multiple requests, I was never sent an email with tracking #. Ordered items we're never sent. Rude email responses. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH HORTICULTURAL SOURCE. Unprofessional. Total enshitification right here.

We’re sorry to hear about your frustration, but we’d like to clarify what actually happened. Your order was shipped and you received the main item (the grow light) along with additional items of higher value that were sent in error. The only thing missing from your order was a $12 link cord, and we informed you that a replacement was being shipped directly from the vendor—who was briefly behind on returns.

Despite this, you stated that you would refuse the replacement shipment and will not pay for the items you already received.

We’ve communicated promptly and professionally throughout the process and remain ready to resolve this properly. If you’re still willing to accept the replacement cord or finalize the return, please contact us—we’re happy to help.

Excellent customer service.

 I wanted to commend Ed for their outstanding customer service. When I noticed a price listed on their website that differed from the in-store price,Their team quickly resolved the issue and honored their online price.

Bait and Switch shipping price....

I had to pay more for shipping through a paypal link than was quoted on the website.. and if I had canceled i would be charged for a restocking fee so I was forced to pay extra for shipping. It felt like a bait and switch and I did not appreciate that.

At checkout, some orders are quoted with estimated freight—this is because the actual shipping cost can vary depending on the size, weight, and destination of the shipment. If the actual carrier cost comes in significantly higher than estimated (to the point where we would lose money fulfilling the order), we may ask customers to pay the difference.

Regarding restocking: we only apply a restocking fee if the order has already been pulled, packed, and prepared for shipment and then needs to be restocked. This helps cover costs like staff time, packaging, and card processing fees.

We’re transparent about these policies and always aim to work with our customers fairly. If you ever have questions about shipping quotes or fees, please reach out—we’re always happy to review and explain the charges.

I love this tool

I love this tool. Horticulture society's price point is a little over half of what it is on the very corporate Amazon's resale of the same tool. Even with shipping cost it is a way better experience and I am all for recalibrating the world of buying and selling so that smaller more genuine companies are the partners that I buy from. You have an amazing catalog of things that are useful. Thank you

Best deal on the net

Best deal on the net! It got here so fast it almost gave me WHIPLASH!! I will definitely be buying from this company again. They beat my local grow store prices on almost everything, even with shipping costs! Great stuff!

Your customer service is just ok

Your customer service is just ok. You can’t talk to somebody on the phone and when you send emails, they either don’t answer the question completely or take too long to answer. I wasn’t invoiced correctly. I did, however receive the right thing in a timely manner.
