Houxury Avis 

Awful. Super unprofessional. Deposit processing time is never ending and still not completed and communication is below terrible. Apartments themselves so overpriced, look for something else

I rent a room in Ronda Sant Pere 13 in Barcelona from the half of january until the end of april 2026. The conditions of the room were different from the pictures, that I saw, but the most serious thing is that the society The Capital Vacations S.L., that is under Houxury, didn't give me back the caution of 1.100€ and they didn't answer to my messages. I'll go to take legal action.

I rented a room through Houxury Asset Management (Ronda de Sant Pere 13, Barcelona). My contract ended on 31 December 2025. It has now been over 6 months and my €875 security deposit has not been returned.
The experience has been deeply frustrating. They do not answer phone calls. Messages sent through their own app go completely unanswered. At one point they asked for my IBAN to process the refund — and then went silent for over a month without transferring anything. Emails to both their Barcelona and Madrid offices received no response whatsoever.
I have been forced to file a formal complaint with OMIC (Barcelona's municipal consumer protection office) and submit a request to INCASÒL to verify whether my deposit was ever legally registered.
If you are considering renting through Houxury, be aware that recovering your deposit may require formal legal action. Do not expect them to respond through any channel once your contract ends.

Waiting on my deposit for 2 months now. They say it is processing, then they say it is delayed but processing. They reply only with delays of days or weeks.

I rented a house in Barcelona for 2 months. If you need housing short term agencies like Houxury are usually unavoidable and to be honest the housing itself was good.

However the process of getting the deposit back was stressful, I got it back after the agreed period and only after sending messages and calling various times. At this point I was already considering legal options which shows the mental burden it takes.

The frustrating part is that Houxury is easily able to pay back the deposit the next day after check out but they deliberately choose not to do so. I know they can because they offered one of my flatmates to give him back his deposit immediately but only if he gave them a 5 star review back. This deepens my suspicion that they are knowingly abusing their position of power. Do better Houxury!

At first I was confused by some interactions with Houxury, but quickly this first impression turned into a pleasant surprise. All the issues I faced were quickly handled and addressed. In particular, when Houxury asked me to relocate due to some internal reasons, we were able to face a suitable solution and the entire process with smooth, including they handling my move with care. Flawless service so far, no complains!

Pagué por alojarme y al final no me dejaron hacerlo y tampoco me devolvieron el dinero, me puse en contacto para ver si podíamos llegar a una solución y no resolvieron nada, al final se quedaron con mi dinero y no me pude alojar.

I had a great experience staying here. The room was very spacious, clean, and fully equipped with everything I needed. One of the best parts was the amazing balcony with a beautiful view. The location is perfect, right in the city center, and you can easily walk everywhere. Everything was very convenient and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place!
