Very unimpressed

Very unimpressed by this company. Zero comms from them. I managed to establish on contacting them that, weeks after my order was placed, 2 of the 3 products were discontinued (they are still showing as available on their website however). Complete waste of everybody’s time. They did arrange a refund relatively quickly after this to be fair, but overall would suggest avoiding them. There are much better companies out there.

Perfect compact modern stool

Was a little nervous ordering but no need to worry. The item arrived very quickly with tracked delivery. Perfect condition and matched the website image. The faux white leather is a stark bluish white and the base is a matt black. This is perfect for me ..may order another. Very happy with the item and the whole ordering/delivery process.

I had a good experience with this…

I had a good experience with this business. I ordered a storage box; it arrived damaged. I contacted the business and they quickly organised a refund for me. I had no issues with dealing with them at all.

Buyer Beware!

I just wanted to encourage everyone to think twice before ordering from this company. They state that they have 30 Day Easy Returns, but that is not true. They arbitrarily decided that the item I purchased was on "sale" because I received a New Customer discount of 10%. There was no mention on the website of a "Sale" on my item when I bought it. The outdoor sconce that I purchased was beautiful, but it would not match up with the electrical fitting in my home, so I requested a return. Seems like the logical thing to do. If I could give 5 stars to their Support Department, I would because they were very helpful to me in assisting with my request.

Dreadful amount of packaging and a huge…

Dreadful amount of packaging and a huge cardboard box for two items already packaged in a box which could have just been posted out as they were! The big box was stuffed full of trade wraps of other products and rubbish which they clearly wanted to get rid of themselves and decided the best way at of doing that was to send it to a customer. I have now half filled my own household waste bin to get rid of the stuff. Shame I can’t upload photos to illustrate the point better

WORST ONLINE PURCHASE EXPERIENCE EVER

NEVER AGAIN . Absolute scam of a company. Please don’t anybody else get caught! Trust me!
I bought two Fumagalli Tobia lanterns from this company because I thought I was getting a deal!
They arrived in the post about a week later. When I opened the box up, One light was different than the other. One was for a high powered LED bulb and the other was for an ordinary bulb.
Then I noticed that one light had already been used and had the plastic glass insert was cracked. It even had the marks on the lamp where somebody had screwed it down to the pillar and taken it off again. Some pieces were missing.
I wrote to (JASON) who is the customer service manager of this company.
Strangely enough, they do not have an active phone line. (No phone line is the first indication of problems)
So you can only get in contact by ticket on an e mail. This e mail is only replied to every 2 days!
So the answer I got from Jason was that “they did not sell used goods and that he would deal with his staff for not checking the lights before departure”

So Jason sent a courier a few days later to pick up these lights from us.
In the mean time we decided we would buy a third light.
So to my surprise , the third light arrived on its own about a week later.
Guess what? It was the wrong light. It was a led lamp instead of an ordinary bulb lamp.

After speaking with Jason by e mail explaining that I had been sent an LED lamp ,I decide I would buy the high powered bulbs for these lamps thinking that the two I was waiting on to arrive would be the same LED fittings. The bulbs cost me €150.

Then there was no sign of the other two replacement lights to arrive. So I e mailed Jason again and his reply was that they had sent the two lights out on delivery with DPD and they were sent back to them again! Yet again I had to e mail Jason to query where my lights were.

He replied he would send them out again to me and he gave me a tracking number.
They arrived the next day.
WAIT FOR IT,,,,
When I opened the box , they were different to the third lamp I had received a few days before.

I wrote to Jason again and he refused to send me the matching lamps to support the LED bulbs that I had bought. He said he would send me the original piece that I had ordered that was not LED. Which he did but, then I noticed the the bulb holders that he sent was different on them all. ( 2x Plastic and 1 x porcelain)

The LED bulb/lamps I have bought now are no good to me and I am out of pocket due to ideas4lighting mistake.
Why should I be out of pocket? Why was my order not correct from the start? I purchased from them in good faith.
I asked Jason for a full refund.
He replied he would not refund me and that he had completed my order.
If I wanted a refund , I would have to send the whole order back to them at my own expense.

PLEASE DO NOT GET CAUGHT LIKE I DID AND GET MESSED AROUND BY THIS COMPANY. IDEAS4LIGHTING.
Jason is the person that answers all the e mails. It seems like he is ordering from another company when you buy off his website.
“Asbac” lighting was printed on the boxes that my incorrect lights were delivered. They seem to be the supplier.

I have reported ideas4lighting to the Trading standards in NI and the consumer protection in RI.

Ideas4lighting address is Upper Edward St, Newry BT35 6AX, Northern Ireland.

My lampshades arrived and were a very…

My lampshades arrived and were a very different colour to what I was expecting. I tried to return them under the sale of goods act long distance selling but received a curt email saying sale items could not be returned which is not true as online purchases are covered by the sale of goods act. I have not had a reply to my last email so I have been advised to report them to Trading Standards and my bank to get them to re claim the money. I would never purchase from this online store again.

Poor standard

I found what looked some nice pasta jars on the website, some various sizes including a spaghetti one.
After placing the order I looked up ideas4lighting online to check reviews.
It then become apparent I should have checked reviews first..
I immediately emailed the company to request extra packaging being added as read things offen getting damaged in transit and customers then struggle to get it put right. I received and email back advising the packaging would be fine..
On arrival most items were either dented of scratched.. the spaghetti jar is also to short to hold spaghetti so also not any use..
I contacted ideas4lighting and they offered a discount. Not really an answer as won’t look nice on the kitchen side with dents in..
I requested a refund and an Ireland address is given so the cost to sent would be high..
So it would appear these goods are china made and come in via Ireland to avoid taxes of EU.
Shame as they ‘looked good’ on website..
lesson learned..

Terrible

Expensive for products ordered, and then failed to deliver on time. I’d to repeatedly email and received replies that were nonsensical at best..it was being sent..it wasn’t yet with them..it had been sent and been returned to them. I will NEVER shop with them again, and would NOT recommend them

Very delayed delivery, poor customer service

My first order was dealt with in a timely fashion, however, my second order was delayed and delayed, with next to zero communication. Not only that, you can't call these people, obviously they are far too important to speak to their customers and their email reply is " we reply within 48 hours". Get a grip, communication is the answer to everything !!

Terrible

Terrible, do not deal with these sharks. My light arrived smashed. Because my electrician was slow to show up and install it, they refused to replace the broken shade (their terms are 10 days, so I learnt, but that was impossible to find). Clearly it had been dropped in transit as only the lower shade was smashed. I explained it had been very carefully stored on receipt and that I hadn't opened the box for fear that I might damage the light or damage it trying to repack it. Just totally unreasonable.

Pendant lights

Great communications, good choice of products, fast and efficient delivery, extremely well packed to protect the shades and light fittings and to top it all, they were cheaper than everyone else. Keep up the good work, it’s good to deal with a family run company, excellent customer service.
