Intelligent Insurance Avis 

Extremely disappointed with this insurer, we are in central London and never had a problem with possibility of flooding. On the government site the threat is Very Low with our postcode.
They would not cover for flooding and when spoke to suggested special insurance for £800!
In over 25 years we have never had a problem nor refusal for insurance but having used Money Saving Expert site was tempted by price.
Buyers Beware and oh the next companies quote was good.

The process was easy and straightforward. I was able to get better cover for the same price than my previous insurer who had proposed an 86% increase in premium despite my making no claim during the year.

Had to wait a while for call to be answered. When I was able to speak to someone she dealt with my request smoothly and efficiently. I was able to renew my policy simply after the call.

Good PR. Responded quickly to query. Resolved problem. Was able to speak to someone in person.

I was trawling the internet trying to find house insurance to cover me for occasional air BnB in my spare room while I’m home and simple office based working from home and it was so stressful and I wasn’t getting anywhere. Other companies were telling me I had to have business insurance but I was sure I didn’t! Then somehow I found myself talking to Jack from intelligent insurance who just helped me with ease and his pleasant nature just really helped me find exactly what I wanted at a very reasonable cost with added extras. I was so happy that the painful experience had ended and quickly signed up. Thank you again Jack :)

Excellent experience. The assistant, Phillip, was extremely helpful and together we sorted out my house insurance swiftly and comprehensively. I would thoroughly recommend them: helpful, courteous, and overall a very fair price.

I have been with Direct Line for over a decade because finding any other companies that will insure a property with a flat roof is so hard; their renewal price was, frankly, obscene. Tired of using screen-scrapers and filling in endless forms only to be told after I had spent hours doing that that none of the companies registered with the site would insure Victorian flat roof properties, I asked AI if there actually were any other insurance companies that would insure my property; from the results given by AI, I found Intelligent Insurance.
What a breath of fresh air! The form was easy...I wasn't kicked off for my flat being in a Victorian-era flat roof tenement...and I was given a number of insurance policy options over a range of prices. I then engaged with an Intelligent Insurance associate via a chat box in order to ask some questions about the top two results of my search. I was passed over to Jack (who works in Sales), who talked me through the various exclusions, requirements and excess payments and exclusions and other fine print and then gave me time to do some research on the underwriters for the two different policies. I was amazed - I have never encouraged to take time to look look deeper into the underwriters and the policies before; in my experience, the big name companies just want to seal the deal but I honestly felt that Jack wanted me to make the right choice for me and no other reason. It was probably five hours between first finding Intelligent Insurance and making a decision to take a policy through them. It was the best customer service I have ever had from any insurer - although, of course, I am fully aware that the real test will come if I have to make a claim. But I don't feel anxious about that - I genuinely feel that they will do their best for me, as the customer.
I will come back and edit this review if my experience is anything other than positive with them in the future.

Friendly chap. Really did his bit to bring the policy price down, and did. Saved me over£350 from previous insurer. Well worth a call.

Want to make a claim. I spent all of yesterday trying to get through to the claims dept. Same problem again today. Someone on the general contact number said that they would get someone to call me back as soon as they became available. Very stressful and now wondering if they are a credible company.

I received emails on 19/7 and 20/7 saying you had collected payment for my home insurance and contents, but I have checked my bank account and payment has not been made, also when I go to MY ACCOUNT in Intelligent Insurance online it states ai have no insurance fir 2026-2027. I am very worried.please reassure me.

Very Disappointing ExperienceI recently purchased a home insurance policy from Intelligent Insurance and carefully reviewed the highlighted terms, including what appeared to be the standard 14-day cooling-off period and cancellation provisions. At no point was it made clear that I would be required to pay a £50 fee simply to cancel the policy.Within just one hour of taking out the policy, I requested cancellation because I was unhappy with some of the endorsements included in the cover. The policy had not even started yet, as the start date was still a week away. Despite this, I was informed that I would need to pay £50 to cancel.I find it extremely unfair to be charged such a fee when the policy had not commenced and my cancellation request was made almost immediately after purchase. This is not what most customers would reasonably expect from a cooling-off period.To make matters worse, there appears to be no effective way to speak with anyone directly. Calls were not being answered, and communication could only take place via email. There was also no clear route to escalate my concerns to a manager or complaints handler, which only added to my frustration.As a customer, this experience has left me feeling very disappointed and let down. The lack of transparency regarding cancellation charges, combined with poor accessibility and customer service, has been extremely frustrating.I would urge anyone considering this company to read every term and condition very carefully and ensure they fully understand any cancellation fees before purchasing a policy.

I was looking for buildings and contents insurance for a coach house. Jack was extremely helpful and patient. He was able to answer all my queries and I feel assured I have obtained the right insurance at a competitive price. Very pleased with the service thus far and being able to speak with Jack who was very clear and concise.

As a new customer I was very impressed by the knowledge of the staff, the excellent customer service and the fact that there were no Bots or automated systems.
