Ordered a cross stitch frame (fed up of stabbing my fingers!!!) just after New Year. Didn't expect it to be delivered until later this week but it was posted out to me late Monday and it was delivered to me on Tuesday! So happy with all aspects of ordering from Lakeside and will certainly order from them again.

I placed an order for my mother’s Christmas present on the 15th December for an item which was ‘in stock’. On the 21st December I was surprised to see it was still in the ‘processing’ phase.
As I result I requested that my order was cancelled and full refund provided.
There was no correspondence. Just noticed the refund was in my bank account. It would have been nice for some kind of acknowledgement that a refund was being processed.
Luckily I was able to find the exact same long stitch pack on Amazon without any delivery fee so worked out cheaper for me in the end. I understand that Christmas is a busy time period but I honestly felt I ordered in a satisfactory time frame for an item which was marked as in stock.

Excellent customer service. My needle threader was missing from my parcel. Emailed them on a Saturday and needle threader was received on Tuesday! Would highly recommend this company and I will definitely order again from them.

First time ordering after getting back into cross stitch and made an order of dmc threads. Very happy with the service. Very smooth transaction, arrived packaged well with each colour group packaged seperatly in nice reusable bags. (Nice to keep current wips in) Would happily purchase again from this company

I'd ordered a lot of thread, some fabric and a needle minder. Unfortunately the needle minder was missing from my package, I contacted them and they responded within the hour, late into the evening which I was not expecting and they informed me they would post one to me the next day, no questions asked. I received it promptly, people make mistakes and I was very impressed with how they responded.

Customer service is extremely prompt and helpful. Have had parts of orders sent out, with the remaining parts sent out when they come in. This has happened without asking. I also find that the stock is excellent, and of good quality, and am more than happy to rely on them for my needs

I realised I had an issue with my order and spoke to Kate who was super helpful and fixed my order for me and reassured me along the process that my order while delayed would be seen as soon as it was able. perfect customer service, I would recommend it!

Fast response to queries raised via their contact us form. Competitive prices for everything but especially DMC skeins much cheaper than Hobbycraft. They also make handy project packs for WOXS magazine charts so you can buy all your thread and fabric in one go which doesn't work out any more expensive than if you were to buy them individually so useful for people who don't have a collection of colours yet.

The owner has even gone above and beyond to cancel and adjust orders for me when I've been an idiot and decided to order 10+ skeins for one project one day then decide to order the full 500 DMC box the next day, rendering the previous order unnecessary, which they really didn't need to agree to at all but which I massively appreciate.

Top class service, you even earn loyalty reward points to spend on future orders and we all do love a freebie! I saw this company recommended by others on social media and then saw them advertised in my World of Cross Stitching magazine and now I'm a firm, loyal customer.

My order from Lakeside Needlework was placed at the end of working hours on Thursday 30 May, was despatched to me on Wednesday 5 June and arrived on 7 June. Everything was exactly as I had ordered (including nearly 200 skeins of DMC threads) and was beautifully packed and presented. I had subscribed to the Lakeside Newsletter and so received a 10% discount on the skeins which, as they were already cheaper than I could buy anywhere else, made them a real bargain.
Thank you, Kate and your assistants for such a good service. I will be back with another order in about a year, I expect, as this project is going to take some time to complete.
