Sales call with attitude
I left MediCash when I stopped working for a company providing such benefit about 2 months ago. Today I got cold call from Medicash sales offering if I wanted to join privately. I was walking when he called, tried to be as careful as possible to avoid someone snatching my phone while on the call. I said one word, "No ... ", the sales cut me short after the first word, few words and hung the word, not even goodbye or "no worry".

Good customer service, despite having an issue originally, they quickly addressed this. Overall offered a quick and efficient service
I’ve recently joined up with Medicash through a company benefit, having used another well known health cash plan provider for many years. I originally experienced an issue as I submitted two claims for the same category on the same date, for the same amount, so I can understand their confusion. As a result one claim was declined as they believed it was the same claim, however they fixed the issue and paid out the second claim promptly following bringing this to their attention. A little better attention to detail is needed by the claims team. Due to the issue experienced, i have dropped one star, but otherwise they were quick to address the issue.

Fast and efficient claims settlement with super friendly staff available should queries arise. I have been with Medicash since the 1970s and have always been able to rely on them.

Not as good as it used to be
Processing of claims has really slowed down, used to be dealt within 2-3 days but now 5 working days if you’re lucky. Admin & customer service needs to be reviewed as they all seem to read from a script & any correspondence is clearly copied & pasted

Thank you for your review and feedback. We aim to process the vast majority of our claims within 5 working days, in fact we have processed 99.8% of claims within 5 working days so far this year.
That said, occasionally claims can take longer if they need more investigation, or during periods when we receive high claims volumes.

Speedy repayment of claims
The information provided on my insurance cover is clearly presented and when I have to make a claim, it's expedited quickly and with good communication on the process. And this hasn't changed in the 30 or so years I've had the policy!
