Warning Lights Appeared Immediately After Recall Work
I rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately, my experience with Motorvogue Jeep King’s Lynn has been deeply disappointing.
I booked my 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee in for recall work on Wednesday 23rd April. Prior to the visit, the vehicle had no engine warning lights or exhaust fault messages showing.
Shortly after leaving the dealership following the recall work, an amber engine management light appeared, followed by an “Exhaust Service Required – See Dealer Now” warning and a red electronic throttle warning light.
I immediately contacted the dealership and was advised to email the issue through. To be fair, Ann in the service team was excellent throughout — professional, reassuring, proactive, and genuinely helpful. She arranged follow-up discussions quickly, explained the courtesy car option given my journey from St Ives, and did her best to support the situation.
However, the overall handling from management has been extremely poor.
The vehicle was returned to Motorvogue again on Wednesday 29th April, and since then I have been left waiting for updates regarding a “goodwill request” to Jeep. Despite repeated assurances that I would receive updates, communication has been inconsistent and key information requested has still not been provided, including:
* Documentation confirming the recall work completed
* Confirmation that the recall has been updated on the DVLA/MOT system
* The advisory video link referenced by the dealership
Meanwhile, my family has effectively been left without reliable use of the vehicle, causing significant inconvenience, especially as my wife relies on the car for work.
What is most concerning is that the fault appeared immediately after the recall work was carried out, yet weeks later there is still no clear resolution or repair plan.
Looking at other customer reviews, I sadly do not appear to be the only person to experience issues relating to recall handling and communication.
I had hoped this matter would be resolved professionally and amicably before needing to leave a review such as this, but the continued lack of response has left me with little confidence.
I sincerely hope Motorvogue improves its customer care, communication, and recall handling processes moving forward.
⚠️ UPDATE:
Motorvogue has now publicly stated that an “additional fault” became apparent following the recall work. I respectfully dispute this characterisation.
Prior to the recall appointment on 23rd April 2026, the vehicle had no engine warning lights, no “Exhaust Service Required” messages, and no electronic throttle warnings present. These issues appeared immediately after leaving the dealership following the recall work.
To date, no technical evidence or formal diagnostic explanation has been provided to support the suggestion that this was simply a previously “masked” issue.
The matter has now been formally escalated through Motorvogue’s customer care complaints process following continued delays, unanswered emails, and lack of resolution.

Shocking visit. Rude service.
Great first visit to test drive the Seat cupra born vz. Very impressed with both the car and the service. So much so that 2 weeks later, we had narrowed our choice of purchase to 2 cars. We arranged to test drive both cars again today. Excellent service from Volvo. Shocking service from Seat who, bottom line said that if we weren't interested in buying their demonstration car, then we were being refused a test drive. The salesman was dismissive, not interested in helping us decide whether the VZ is the car for us or explore V3 as discussed. This showroom did not have a v3 to show us so both the salesman and the manager were of the opinion that if they couldn't sell us a car today, they would not allow a test drive. The salesman even asked why we hadn't bothered to go to Peterborough as we knew there was a vz model in our chosen colour! RUDE. By agreement of motovogue, we were booked in for a second test drive to be sure this was the car for us. Rude, unhelpful, shocking attitude. Strange the manager wasn't available to come out and speak with us when we returned to complain. Sadly, we were advised that the first salesman had left the business...no surprise as we suspect his helpful, accommodating style did not fit with the current management culture.

Outstanding experience
We were shown cars by Ekram, who, despite specialising in Hyundai, gracefully showed various makes. He was helpful, informative and very polite. Great experience and we will make sure to return.

Traded a car for a used VW at the Norwich branch.
Overall it was a good experience and the salesman Aaron was very helpful and proffesional and I would be happy to deal with him again however....whoever made the decision not to clear the finance on my trade in for 4 WEEKS I am less than impressed with.
My advice to other potential customers is that if you are trading in a car with finance on it, be very careful as whatever happens to your trade in (including being sold on), you remain liable for any finance on it.
Its important to agree in writing how long it will take the dealer to settle the agreement as you will need to make sure you can afford to keep paying for the car until its clear, otherwise it will seriously affect your credit score if you miss a payment even though you no longer own it.
Apart from that, all good and I would have given 5 stars had I not had to wait so long for the finance issue to be resolved.
4 weeks is just not acceptable.

Recommend you go elsewhere.!
Recommend you go elsewhere.!Norwich Jeep Motorvogue staff are rude and insulting. Their customer service skills are deplorable at best and their workmanship not much better.
We paid £180 for a diagnosis of the origin of the problem with my partners Jeep Renegade only to have our exact words describing the concerns quoted back to us followed by being told they couldn’t fix it!
After further discussions in which my partner was accused of “blackmailing” they finally agreed to have their body shop do the repair. Grateful the car had been repaired we headed home only to find additional damage had been done during the repair process. When we attempted to call Motorvogue several times to discuss the matter our messages were completely ignored. After emailing management we were accused of lying and they produced a photograph that “proved” the damage was there before they worked on the car. Only problem was that the piece of so called “evidence” was taken after parts had been removed from the car by them thus proving absolutely nothing!
No matter; the lying accusations continued (of course couched in “cheesy bullshit office speak”) and we were told that this was their final word on the matter. Correcting their mistake would have cost them at most £50!
Trust them with your car at your peril! Your situation could be a lot more costly. This dealership is being run by an assortment of incompetent, ignorant, insulting and unintelligent staff members that are destroying Jeeps once good name. Frankly I am surprised that Jeep allows this behaviour to continue.

Dishonest
Dishonest Dealership. I bought a new car from the kings lynne dealership. I traded a 73 plate nissan to complete the purchase. I was also offered lots of extras most of which I purchased. There were issues with them. They even sent me the paperwork from another customer by email. But to top it off. They never paid of the Finance. Even over week after bringing it to their attention. They have not paid it. I did a HPI check on the car today and it confirms this. So they are selling cars with outstanding finance and are so rude that even after an email to the principal dealer and customer service today, they did not even reply.
In response to Motorvogue reply:
Whilst I appreciate this takes a few day. It was only settled on 24th April that’s nearly 7 weeks ! On top of that I had accrued more interest and had to make a payment. The other issues are still not resolved. I have had a response from the branch today. I was going to small claims court as things have got so bad.

Make sure you leave with all the paperwork
I bought a 2022 Alfa Romeo Stelvio with Harry On October 2025. I Paid via credit card for the deposit and Bacs for the remaining amount. I also had the UK Alfa warranty and servicing for 3yrs added. I didnt get to pick up the car until November 2025 as i work away. The servicing and warranty was not availiable with the paperwork on pick up but was assured before i left that it would be emailed by the end of the day as the girl in that dept. was on lunch. We are now into April 2026!! Still no papaerwork so i can book a service in my home town and zero answer to emails and phone calls just ring off. I am now having to proceed with legal action. If you buy a car from here do not leave the premises until you have everything you paid for.

Fantastic service- helping us in a tight spot!
We had an issue with our Peugeot EV on the bank holiday weekend whilst visiting family. We were really stuck and visited the showroom on the off chance that someone could help. Despite the Service Dept being closed Matt made some suggestions of what we could try and got our EV charging again. He really didn't need to do help - but it made all the difference to our weekend!

Motirvogue are useless do not buy from them
Well finally after 6 months of hell owning an Alfa Romeo Junior Hybrid purchased new from these idiots I've managed to reject the car and get a proportion of my money back.
The car had been back in 6 times in 6 months with dangerous issues. The dealer failed to repair so rejected the car. Unfortunately you loose 45p per mile as per the Consumer act 2015. So paid £28,500.00 6 months ago with a refund of only £26,000.00
The dealership have done nothing to help through the whole stressful ordeal in fact nor has Stellantis who's customer service is worst than the dealer.
The dealer passes the buck and is very dismissive.
Motorvogue are terrible and if there was a 0 out of 5 id have given that.
The amount of issues on the Junior Hydrid was ridiculous and too many to name on here. Do not buy one
Now let's talk about the refund experience
I was promised by Harry that when I brought the car back they would process the refund there and then. When I cam in I was told the Director would process it and he'd emailed the accounts dept. Lie no 1
Tuesday came nothing. Wed nothing.
I emailed the director he said he'd chased Accounts that morning. Lie no 3 in a long line. Thursday director when chased said he'd deal with it that day! Lie no 4.
Friday he emailed after I chased him to say he'd signed off the refund a few minutes ago pm Friday. If he had to sign it off then it had nothing to do with accounts.
Motorvogue are terrible they sell crap cars amd if you have issues watch out.
Customer services from Director down are horrendous. Never answer phones and avoid you like the plage when there is an issue.
You buy the car they want your money immediately when they have to refund you they take a week! Shame on you.
NEVER EVER BUY ANY MAKE OF CAR FROM THEM. SEE OTHER 1 STAR RATINHS THERE ARE LOADS

Extremely Poor Aftersales
Purchased an Audi A1 from Jeep Motorvogue Norwich in December 25. When purchasing we were looking for a used Audi A1 with parking sensors, and we were informed that this had rear and front sensors, so we paid in cash for the vehicle. Purchasing was pleasant and easy, but then at the end of January 26 it developed 2 faults. First the start stop was reporting a fault on the dashboard then a few days later the Audi "pre sense" was showing a fault.
Due to this i then emailed Aaron at Motorvogue to notify him of the fault. It took a week for him to come back to me as he'd been off. Fair enough
His reply was to ask where my nearest Motorvogue was. I then followed up with a reply on 4th Feb 26 asking if there was anyway to get this checked closer to me as all Motorvogue outlets are over 100 miles from me. This was ignored completely. I then had to email again on 9th Feb 26 asking for a response.
I recieved a reply from Aaron on 10th again asking for my nearest Motorvogue. I immediately emailed him back stating I would have to come back to him as I would need to arrange dates around my days off and also my daughter as it was her car, but stated it would probably need to be Motorvogue in Bedford as this was closest to me.
Again nearly 2 weeks go by before getting a response from Aaron stating he would get in touch with Bedford to get me booked in. It is now 23rd March 2026, and NO ONE has bothered to contact me.
This was over £15k purchase and this is the level of customer service. It feels very much like once you have purchased the vehicle, Motorvogue really don't give a toss. Bearing in mind you are charged £200 service fee when purchasing a vehicle from Motorvogue then its extremely poor.
The faults still exist and furthermore we have now found out that the vehicle does not have front parking sensors. We are now looking to get the faults rectified locally, however there is nothing we can do about not having front sensors.
Extremely poor service all round and I will certainly be avoiding Motorvogue for any future car purchases

Motorvogue Northampton Jeep
I visited the Northampton Jeep dealership to have my Jeep serviced.
The site is compact and I struggled to find access to the service drop off.
A kind gentleman in a Motovogue jacket outside proactively walked over to my car to ask if I was looking for service, he then promptly gave clear instructions on how to access the drop off to the rear of the dealership. He could have easily just kept his head down but was really friendly and proactive in his engagement… I’ll also add he was from the Seat side rather than Jeep.
Then dropping off the car the young ladies on receiption were both very helpful, the confirmed the works to be completed and the price before asking me to sign the car over.
Alisha then walked me over to my courtesy car and advised they would call when the car was ready.
Arthur B my car’s technician did a great job looking after my car. A clear health check video was sent to me and before mid afternoon the car was ready! Arthur even took the time to cover my steering wheel and gear knob…. I’ve never had that even at Audi!
The team called and said the car was ready, but we will give it wash while you head over.
When I arrived the car park was rather busy and a kind technician came out and helped me find a space, again he didn’t have too.
When I arrived she was ready, as I entered reception one of the staff was just leaving for a break and the other was engaged in conversation. . They lady heading on a break turned to me engaged, taking off her jacket and taking me to a desk.
Really good service here, it’s the small things that make big impacts.
I have no issues in recommending Northampton Jeep, it’s easy to be treated as a number but they made a real effort to provide good service.
I would also add, I don’t have a service plan and I didn’t buy the vehicle from Motorvogue, but was treated just as well as if I had.
It’s hard sometimes to split manufacturer from dealer. If you’re not happy with the product it’s the Dealers fault.
My experience here is the dealer is great at customer service!
Thank you Motorvogue for being what a dealer should be and focused on great service and communication.

If you value your time, transparency, and basic professional courtesy, avoid Motorvogue Norwich.
If you value your time, transparency, and basic professional courtesy, avoid Motorvogue Norwich. My experience resolving a simple steering alignment defect on a lease vehicle revealed a dealership with severe operational failures and a customer service department that has absolutely nothing to do with actually serving customers.
Here are the verifiable facts of my experience:
The "Ghost Repair": On December 30th, I sacrificed a day of annual leave for a "while you wait" booking to fix a steering defect. After waiting hours, the car was returned to me with the exact same defect unfixed.
Severe Administrative Delays: I had to return on March 4th to try again. Despite being there for a morning appointment, Motorvogue’s own internal review admitted they did not even submit the initial repair authorization request to my leasing company until 11:27 AM. They left me sitting in their waiting room for over three hours before initiating a single piece of paperwork.
Unreliable Diagnostic Equipment: When I finally collected the vehicle, they handed me an alignment diagnostic printout explicitly dated "23-Feb-26"—over a week before my car was even in their workshop. Their Group Customer Quality Manager later admitted this was an "administrative equipment error" due to incorrect date settings on their alignment machine. How can a customer trust the mechanical output of a main dealer whose precision equipment can't even produce an accurate date stamp?
The most shocking aspect, however, was the extensive correspondence with their Customer Care team and senior management.
Instead of taking ownership of their delays or the failed December repair, their Group Customer Quality Manager chose to deflect everything. She explicitly claimed my lease provider never requested a "while you wait" appointment. This was demonstrably false; I possess the official 1link booking confirmation clearly stating: "While you wait - You have chosen to deliver the vehicle to the service centre and wait whilst the work is undertaken".
Throughout multiple back-and-forth emails, there was not a single genuine apology for wasting my annual leave, nor any acknowledgement of the massive inconvenience caused. Their entire strategy was denial, deflecting blame onto the leasing company, and finally declaring a "final position" to shut down the conversation entirely.
Mistakes happen in garages, but Motorvogue’s absolute refusal to take accountability, apologize, or learn from a disastrous customer experience is a systemic cultural failure. Take your business elsewhere.

Absolutely appalling service from start…
Absolutely appalling service from start to finish. I took my vehicle in expecting professional expertise and instead got what feels like a blatant attempt to extract thousands of pounds from me for work that was never needed in the first place.
I was told I required a new vacuum pump and “many other issues” urgently sorted — a repair bill running into the thousands. The diagnosis was delivered with total confidence, yet it turns out they hadn’t even done the most basic check. When I took the car to my trusted local garage for a second opinion, they actually lifted the bonnet (which apparently was too much effort here) and discovered a loose tube that simply needed reconnecting. Total cost? £12.50.
£12.50 versus thousands.
It’s hard not to feel completely misled. Either the technicians are alarmingly incompetent, or they were hoping I wouldn’t question a wildly inflated repair list. Neither possibility inspires confidence.
The fact that such an obvious issue was missed — or worse, ignored — speaks volumes about the level of care and integrity here. I dread to think how many other customers have paid for unnecessary work simply because they trusted what they were told.
I will never return, and I strongly advise anyone else to seek a second opinion before agreeing to any major repairs suggested by this service team.
Utterly disgraceful.
