Very helpful and easy transition
I was extremely impressed with the way the lady dealt with my telephone request. She was more than helpful to me with my credit score file and I'm in the middle of getting the ex-partner off my credit file, to which she give me as much information and help as possible

Lasted 24 hours, score massively inaccurate
After providing all information was given a score of 580, the lowest possible it seems. A massive surprise as I have quite a good history. So I also signed up to the market leader where they gave me a score of 980, what a difference! Double checked both sites information against each other and they matched, picking up all my accounts and the same recent searches etc. My only thought is that perhaps they were trying to sell me a service and that my score would come back up to its correct level after signing up.
Needless to say the account was cancelled the next day.
**update**
After mycreditmonitor replied saying a score of 580 is excellent I checked their website. After stating that the score from the website will range from 0-700 it goes on to say " A score above 609 is considered to be 'excellent' whereas a rating below 588 will be judged as 'poor' and carry the associated financial consequences in relation to credit"
I still stand by my original comment, the score awarded of 559 (i just checked for the actual figure) and depicted as 1 out of 5 stars is poor.
The fact that out of a 0-700 scale the good range is 21 points is a little worrying...

Many thanks for your feedback and apologies our product didn't meet your expectations. Experian and Callcredit (the credit reference agency that we use) have a different scoring system. A score of 580 for MyCreditMonitor is an excellent credit score and is shown as excellent on your MyCreditMonitor page.
I assure you we weren't trying to sell you an additional service and our credit scores are accurate.

Not impressed
MyCreditMonitor was the first credit score site I've ever tried but the amount of information they give is quite limited so I had to search for different options. I quite like the interface though!

terrible service
I signed up to use their service and was told I needed to provide evidence to confirm my identity, which has not been required by any other company offering a similar service. It was not made clear that the 30 day trial began at this point and not once my account was actually set up and I could access their services. As I have just moved house I could not immediately access the evidence of recent bills and identity with my current address etc they required and I never got to use their services but yet they still billed me £14.95 for absolutely nothing...not worth the stress!

Due to the nature of the product providing sensitive financial information, all credit reference agencies request checks to confirm the identity of the customer. The Welcome email sent out at time of sign up states that the '30 day trial period starts from the date of this email.' A reminder email would have been sent on Day 30.

My credit monitor report easy to follow.
The report was easy to follow but not as easy to get hold of as the securry questions were pretty obscure.

Details on my account wrong -address etc and one account. Contacted My Credit Monitor who have not yest responded. Checked my details on Experian which are better and different than Credit Monitor- will be closing my account next day or so
