I am very impressed with No Letting Go Brentwood, they conducted an inspection for my property and the report I received was very efficient and received promptly. I will definitely be using them again.

As a landlord, I rely on NoLettingGo to handle my property inspections, inventories, and check-out reports—and I would wholeheartedly recommend their services to any fellow landlord. Their reports are extremely detailed, clearly identifying any issues and indicating whether they fall under the responsibility of the tenant or the landlord.
They also check that smoke and carbon monoxide alarms are in working order, which is especially reassuring if you don’t live near the property. It’s great to know that these important safety checks are being taken care of.
Catherine, the director of the company, is always a pleasure to deal with. She’s approachable, knowledgeable, and happy to offer advice or answer any questions you may have.
Thank you for consistently providing an excellent service!

We are a traditional lettings & property management company that always conducted visits, inventories and checkouts internally. We have grown the portfolio to a size we had to outsource. Catherines team at NLG Brentwood have been great in onboarding us and our requirements . The team at the Brentwood office are very experienced and knowledgeable. Our clients receive quality reports with fully date and time stamped pictures and the usual compliance checks are within these reports. Look no further than the team at NLG!

UPDATE:
Justine — your reply unfortunately confirms the very issue at the heart of our experience. No Letting Go publicly states that its reports are “independent and impartial documents.” Inventory reports are meant to protect both parties — yet you’ve now clarified that unless you are the instructing (i.e. paying) party, No Letting Go has “no obligation” to assist. That’s not impartiality — that’s client loyalty. It means tenants in a formal dispute may be denied access to evidence unless the landlord approves, which in our case allowed the landlord to control the flow of information. Worse still, the landlord admitted in writing that he had already discussed suspected tenant fault with Paul before any formal process had begun.
This contradiction between your company’s stated neutrality and actual conduct should concern any tenant who expects fairness from an inventory provider. If No Letting Go’s reports are only accessible and actionable by one party — and private conversations between clerks and landlords can shape future claims — then these documents cannot reasonably be called “independent.”
If you’d like to see the landlord’s admission in writing, you’re welcome to get in touch.
No Letting Go’s reply to the below misses the point. The issues raised were not about who “issued the report,” but about the conduct during the formal dispute — namely, that Paul Barnett withheld evidence, delayed communication until after submission deadlines, and only responded with landlord permission, all of which clearly undermines any claim of independence. Their reply also skirts the fact that the landlord himself admitted, in writing, that both he and Paul suspected ceiling marks were tenant fault before any expert had been consulted — exactly the kind of bias tenants need protection from, not complicity with.
While the landlord chose not to pursue the inaccuracies listed below in this instance, that does not guarantee another landlord would act similarly. If Paul had fulfilled his duties with proper accuracy and impartiality, tenants would be better protected from landlords potentially exploiting such discrepancies in future disputes.
These aren’t procedural gripes — they’re structural failures, and tenants deserve better.
ORIGINAL POST:
If your landlord hires Paul Barnett from No Letting Go Croydon, prepare yourself — because the only thing getting “protected” is your landlord’s interests, not fairness or accuracy.
Paul’s own public profile states that he provides “detailed reports designed to protect a landlord in the event of a dispute.” After months of dealing with him, I can confirm — that’s not marketing fluff, that’s exactly what happens.
Here are just a few examples of the “accuracy” we experienced:
✔ A rug, clearly present in the original check-in report? At check-out, magically labelled “left behind by tenants” — tenant fault.
✔ A mirror, never listed on the inventory? Declared “missing” — tenant fault again.
✔ A new bathroom sink, installed midway through the tenancy? Paul missed it entirely — quite something for someone whose entire job is attention to detail.
✔ Ceiling marks? The landlord and Paul were already pinning blame on us long before any expert assessment — which ultimately proved it was thermal bridging, not damage.
But the real red flag? Paul wouldn’t respond to us directly during the formal dispute without landlord permission. Emails trickled in — always after evidence deadlines had passed — conveniently keeping us tenants at arm’s length while the landlord stayed in control of the narrative. By the time Paul eventually offered basic evidence like high-res photos, it was too late — he told us to request them from the Landlord - the very person we were in a dispute with. This was, of course, was after all evidence had been finalised. Convenient for the landlord, right? This is completely unacceptable, and totally inconsistent with No Letting Go’s own claims about independence.
Despite this, we meticulously gathered our own evidence, identified major report flaws, and the independent adjudicator ultimately rejected the majority of our landlord’s inflated claims. But it shouldn’t have required that level of detective work to get fairness.
Tenants — if No Letting Go Croydon and Paul Barnett are involved with your property, don’t assume independence. Document everything, question everything, and don’t expect help unless the landlord gives permission.

Dissatisfied really disappointed with this company contact them 2 weeks ago arrange a date for inventory / tenants checking out service sent all the details what they ask then no reply received when called the guy who answered sounds he did not interested told “he does not have time go through all his email” really is he depending on our money or we depending on his mercy? He ask how many properties I want to give him as soon he heard one property then he told immediately he is not available for check out & inventory service. Totally unprofessional company wasted my time

Liam, the franchise owner of no letting go for Coventry / Nuneaton didn't bother responding to my requests despite contacting him multiple times. Said he would send booking info but never did, even the staff on the official website number tried to contact on my behalf and he still didn't bother.
Half arsed attitude it seems and now I'm using another service.

Useless company, rushed a check out report and did not compare to the check in report. Factually incorrect and poor service

Awful company to deal with.
No accountability from head office, leaving the franchises to do what ever they like.
They do not pay their clerks in a timely manner and refuse to communicate.
Very unprofessional. They did the inventory for a flat I moved into and the info in it is completely false and inaccurate. Phani was extremely rude and uncivilized when I asked questions about the inventory and the clerk left the flat in a hurry, before I could go in and check the rooms with him and without even showing me the meters so I could take readings. Very shady and dodgy company, not to be trusted. If there was an option here to ad photos, I could show the awful state of the flat when I moved in yet the report falsely states that all is in good condition and that the flat was professionally cleaned and handled (there were spider webs, utilities and light bulbs not working, loose door handles, rotten and rusty furniture, extremely dirty balcony etc) Not reliable and honest at all.
The turnaround for the report was a bit slower due to a backlog, however it was thorough.
thanks

The inventory clerk picked up on many issues, and they were flexible enough to update the report when I sent photos of several issues they missed. But they reported that my house was clean to 'a good domestic clean' level - but there were grubby marks all over the counter tops, a pubic hair on the counter top, stains on the sink, etc. No Letting Go refused to update the inventory report - so I ended up paying for a report that was (in large part, if not completely) misleading. (Despite Justine’s comment below, she hasn’t followed up with me or taken any account of my complaint.)

I've had several communication mishaps with the company, but Justine has been both friendly and helpful in navigating these, which people at many steps of the check-in process haven't been. I think that given the many opportunities for misunderstanding in the moving process, good, reassuring communication makes all the difference. If that's sorted out at * *all* the levels of operation that'd be great.

These guys did my inventory check out and check in and just decided not to send me the reports. I've made a complaint to AIIC who's merely been the most useless watchdog in the UK and they are not managed by any Ombudsman. I've been chasing for 6 months and have been yelled at by the tenants and will be filing a court order for Specific Performance. Right now, I literally have no photos to chase for damages at the property since the new tenants have moved in. And I am certainly in breach of AST through no fault of my own except to hire these guys.
Incompetent persons involved in the chain of emails so far:-
Patur Mohan
Olaf Throndsen
Central Office AIIC
Nikki Higgins

Great company, knowledgeable professional and would highly recommend
I used this company to do the snagging for my new apartment received from the developer. They provide me a report with a lot of pictures and very few comments, saying that everything is perfectly installed and in good condition per their visual check.
As I let my apartment to the tenant immediately after that, I just managed to visit it this month in person. I am scared by the big gap on the roof of the balcony and the hole on the wall etc, just from my 10 mins visit! It is very obvious that this company doesn't inspect the property seriously and provide very unprofessional snagging report (just filled up with photos)!
Be aware of this company if you are serious about snagging or the golden period for asking the developer to follow up deflects would be missed!
