Prompt Friendly Service

Rough start, but good recovery by NumberBarn

I found a phone number I wanted and submitted an offer. In order to do that, I had to create an account with my email, set up a password, and provide my debit card information. They also placed a hold on my card.

Right after that, I could not log in because it kept saying my password was wrong. I tried the password reset option multiple times, but never received a reset email.

I contacted support, and their first reply asked me to provide personal account information for verification, including my full name, email, service address, and phone number. I sent them everything they requested.

After that, instead of fixing the problem, they replied saying it “sounds like a job for our Solutions Team.” Hours went by with no resolution. When I followed up again and asked what was taking so long and told them to just refund my money, I got another delayed reply saying it now “sounds like a job for our billing team.”

So basically, I got passed from one team to another with no actual help, no password reset, no access to the account, no update on whether my offer was accepted, and no immediate refund. To make matters worse, this happened right before the weekend, so now I’m left waiting days for something that should have been a very simple fix.

What makes this even more frustrating is that instead of resolving the login problem, they started quoting refund policies and restocking fees. I wasn’t even trying to return a number I successfully bought and used — I was trying to access the account I had just created and deal with a problem on their end.

The whole experience has felt disorganized, slow, and frustrating. Based on my experience, their customer service was poor and the process is far more complicated than it should be and I’m still currently waiting for a resolution and or my money back.

**Update 4/1/26**
My initial experience was frustrating because I ran into account/login issues right after trying to place an offer, and getting help felt slower and more confusing than it should have been.

That said, after I posted my review, NumberBarn did reach out directly, explained what happened, and resolved the issue. I appreciate that they followed up and made it right.

So while the original experience was disappointing, I do want to give them credit for their response and resolution.

Thank you to NumberBarn for taking care of it.

Hey Courtney, thank you for your thorough review. I've looked into this and can definitely see where we bounced you around a couple of times and agree that this is not a great experience.

It looks like you were trying to make an offer on a number and our system required you to either login or create an account. You didn't actually have an account in our system so your login attempts were failing. That said, I see that the authorization to your credit card was canceled.

NumberBarn Saved My Social Life!

I was this close to settling for some random, forgettable T-Mobile number that sounded like it was generated by a bored robot. You know the type: 555-867-5309’s less cool cousin. Then I Googled “cool phone numbers” in a moment of desperation and boom – NumberBarn appeared like a fairy godmother with a sense of humor.

Not only did they hook me up with a genuinely memorable number (my friends now call me instead of texting “who dis?”), the whole process was ridiculously smooth. If you can handle basic porting and don’t panic when you see words like “eSIM” or “unlock,” you’ll be golden. I felt like a tech wizard and I’m basically still using dial-up in my soul.

Zero drama, fair prices, and super fast support when I had a tiny question, and now I have a phone number so good it deserves its own Instagram handle.

If you’re tired of boring digits and want something that actually sticks in people’s heads, stop whatever you’re doing and go to NumberBarn right now.

10/10. Would port again. Might even name my future pig after them.

Rogue app. Do not sign up. Took me a month to port out my number. LLC is all you need to remember on the name , “Number Barn LLC” when you see that it screams I’m making sure you don’t sue me because I’m a POS “company”

Not Responding to My PORT OUT Request of 12-2025

I have had a landline number parked at NumberBarn for a number of years. They deduct a monthly fee from my checking account. Starting in December, I tried to PORT OUT that number only to get an automatic message: "We are unable to display porting information for this telephone number. Please click the button below to request the Customer Service Record and a member of our team will respond within 24 - 48 hours." I "Request CSR" and go thru whatever prompts are necessary. NOTHING HAS HAPPENED SINCE DECEMBER 2025!!!!! No response. No email. No message from customer support. AND THEY STILL TAKE THE MONTHLY PAYMENT OUT OF MY CHECKING ACCOUNT!$#!!! I NEED TO PORT OUT THE NUMBER that they are holding. Can anyone help?? There is no tele # for their customer service. I keep trying and trying to get an answer from them thru the website. They never respond.

I used Numberbarn to port some numbers that were in a very small, rural area that I could not port. I tried a few vendors, none could do it. Finally, I found NumberBarn. Success. And they communicated throughout the process. Very great experience! Real Pros!

NO PHONE NUMBER TO CALL - TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

I previously used Number Barn and they were great. Now, they no longer have a phone to call to get help and you have to wait for them to send an email a week or so later.... if you are lucky. I paid for numbers and can't port them out because their PIN doesn't work. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Hi Justin, I'm glad we could connect by phone. This ended up being a fairly simple issue where your gaining carrier entered the incorrect account number causing the port request to fail. We sent multiple automated emails over the course of the week alerting you to this error. You contacted us around 1pm on Wednesday and the issue was resolved within 48 hours.

As we discussed, the root issue here is that we didn't have live channel customer support available to you, either by phone or chat. For customers looking for an inbound contact center to call, NumberBarn currently doesn't offer that level of support. But if customers request a call, we do our best to accommodate that request. And we are definitely evaluating the customer support channels we offer moving forward. Thank you for sharing your experience.

NumberBarn is outstanding

NumberBarn is a quality service and truly provides a workable and useful telecommunication option for me at home or on the road. Their service is reliable and each of its various parts, to include SMS messaging, in coming and out going calls, voice messaging, email notification of message and calls received, and functionality across platforms and devices, are well integrated and operate seamlessly. Their pricing is reasonable and is a true value for the money. Having been a customer for some time now I have the highest praise for NumberBarn, so much so that I felt it was worth an unsolicited review post on TrustPilot. NumberBarn is an outstanding wireline provider!!

Worked great for me!

Worked great for me! I bought a number that I liked, and I ported it to the Mint cell service on my new Pixel phone. I felt like I just barely knew what I was doing and I was worried something would go wrong, but it went really smoothly and happened much faster than I expected. I like that the website is very clear about what to expect, has info on landline vs cell line, etc... it didn't seem like they were hiding anything. I would definitely use again!!

Overall it is the worst customer…

Overall it is the worst customer service I have encountered. I lost my phone and need my phone number for account verification. As present, I am unable to get a sim to reactivate my t mobile account and my cell does not have esim capability. I requested to port my number to numberbarn and for some strange reason my request was cancelled. I contacted numberbarn thru their support (which is email) and each time I was told a person would contact me in 24 hours to give me status and a solution. I sent 4 or 5 request to support and only rec'd a standard reply that numberbarn support would get back to me in 24 hours --never happened. If all goes thru with out a problem, no issues with numberbarn. But a company is mainly judged on how they handle problems. With that being said, I would not use numberbarn. I will cancel my request and go else where

So far it’s been great

So far it’s been great. Matthew has went above and beyond to help me start the process and navigate even if it meant me obtaining a number that they could not get going through another carrier. He was so on top of it that I am probably going to get a number from them. Customer service has been great.
