Otter Nurseries Avis 

Rude staff who have no clue on how to appropriately talk to customers, talk over you, harsh and rude tone of voice and just an all round unpleasant experience. Manager was condescending, belittling and unable to accept that a member of staff may be incorrect. Happy to accept that some of our research on the product we wanted to buy was incorrect (although multiple different websites and other professionals said the opposite of their staff) but the way in which we were spoken to and the mannerisms of staff was unacceptable. Need to be retrained in customer service skills as they come across obnoxious, abrupt and their communication skills are seriously lacking. We visit regularly and have never been spoken to in that way before, all other staff are lovely except for that department, not sure why! Unfortunately as a result we will not be returning as we do not expect to feel as if we are being spoken down to in a retail environment.

I ordered lupins on 1 June and they were delivered just 4 days later. Great service and the packaging was fabulous - very ingenious and meant there was no damage at all to the plants. And no plastic. The plants are in superb condition, covered in buds. Very highly recommended.

We’ve been here quite a few times, they’ve really improved the place, excellent service all over, the dining area can be a little cold, but the staff make you feel warm, Abby, Brock, Faith and Julie are really friendly and very helpful, as are the rest of the staff, it’s always very clean, and the food is excellent and at a reasonable price, we love the breakfasts and they cook the bacon just the way I ask for it, perfect.

We go here on a regular basis.
The Staff at the Restaurant are Brilliant especially the Gentleman with glasses who clears the Tables.
He is always Happy and Smiling and always has time to interact with Customers.
Maybe the Manager (Sue) should take note at the Brixton Branch.

We bought some furniture and a Panalsol from Otter Nurseries near Ottery St. Mary. It was delivered 3 days later, exactly when they said it would be. One of the parts of the Panalsol was found to be damaged when we put it together. These things happen sometimes but after informing the Manager, Wendy, the damaged part was replaced. It was delivered direct from the manufacturer within 4 days.
Excellent service, and so helpful. I would definitely buy from there again.

after buying shed at otter nursaries bishopsteignton there was a mix up that it could not be deliverd in one piece as first advised but after discussing this with Emma the manager delivery and construction was organised special mention for Lee who was most helpfull with this and shed is now up and in place i would recomend otter for there proffesional customer sevice.

My husband and I visited the coffee shop on Tuesday, well we were totally discussed, the staff were rude and couldn't even be bothered to serve you, as they'd rather stand and talk while the que was getting longer and longer, but they really need to us I higher temperature to wash there dishes as our cups were dirty, a actually wiped my finger around the inside of my cup and was shocked to see what scum came off, and after using a knapkin my cup was clean, but it really put us off, and others too as they watched, also could someone Please clean all the dust off your chairs, I would never recommend this place to anyone.

We have used this garden centre for many years , and it had always welcomed our two dogs.they’ve now put in place a no dogs policy, a somewhat foolish policy when pretty well every other garden centre in the area welcomes them, they clearly don’t need the business and we sadly will no longer be giving them our custom.

Won’t be ever going to Otters again, no dogs allowed, Endsleigh from now on.

We give Otter Nurseries Brixton Plymouth 1 star due to the restaurant manager Sue Cliff, who was abrupt to the point of rudeness which left us feeling unwelcome!
Subsequently we won't be returning!!!!!!!!

Had breakfast,bought plants etc.lovely shop, Christmas music and song loved it only problem was the raindeer were miming the songs 🤣

Wincanton otter nursery cafe to expensive for cakes and sandwiches need deductions for oaps.

Bought some Great plants and one pot of Blackbird colour paint which I was assured by staff was Black.
I had planned on painting raised beds but on opening the paint it was clearly grey not colour shown on tin.
I then went back to return it The same assistant called her manager and said "he was under the illusion it was Black" which I thought was rather rude but the manager was great and said she was happy to refund it..
I went to Homebase who's black paint was... Actually Black.

The Otter plants were great and the staff in the outside area were very helpful and pointed me in right direction of all the plants I needed.

The most awful coffee I have ever tasted, it was just a cup of hot milk.

No dogs allowed, so no spending in there for us!

What lovely friendly staff at Taunton, both outside and at checkout. So helpful when I was struggling with a trolley full of compost this morning. Otter is ace!

What a wonderful visit we had yesterday. My three year old grandson was delighted with all the festive displays, especially the singing penguins. Brilliant efficient service in the cafe too. We'll done everyone. I shall be returning again on Saturday with more grandchildren.

Very disappointed that cats are are allowed to roam, which are renowned for covering their own excrement possibly walking over food and tables but dogs are banned from most areas. Otter need to review their dog policy and allow in areas where no food not a blanket ban.Suggest you take a visit to your chain competitors may assist. Its 2022 and lots more potential customers have dogs.We only wanted to look at and possibly purchase garden furniture. Not sure at all why dogs would be restricted in such an area. Totally accept ban in food only areas.We even offered to carry our dog but firm no...not allowed so we took our business elsewhere. Your loss Endseighs gain!

I went to otters in Wincanton to buy some compost I am disabled so not able to lift the bag of compost, I asked the lady on the pay till, if some one could help me load them in my car she said yes, I waited for 3/4 hour for some one to help me, to no avail I notice some of the employers were standing around with nothing to do but chat so I deicide they do not want my customs and left, they will not get any custom again

Otter Nurseries Plymouth. Bought 4 different fusias from here all hardy all did not survive winter. Also purchased 4 fusias from another garden centre also hardy and all servived. Will not visit Otter Nurseries again. Selling substandard plants.
