PSS did a full Solar panels install in…
PSS did a full Solar panels install in our home in 2019. It all went more or less well (it was early days and the panels weren’t very efficient, but the installation was decent). I was promised the world in terms of after-care. Except now, 7 years later, when the Fronius inverter broke down and even though I had taken an extended warranty for 10 years, everyone involved, from installer to manufacturer, has washed their hands off the problem. The ball gets passed on and nobody takes any responsibility. It’s been months and no results. Extremely frustrating. I feel i’ve been dealing with total cow-boys. All lip sevice and no responsibility taken. When it comes to repairs and service, reader of this notice: Beware! Do not believe a word of what you are being told about warranties. They are a total scam and Powersmart Solar Solutions will not cone forward with ANY solution whatsoever, all disguised under false apologies. Lots of sorry’s and no action. I should take this to the relevant authorities but have lost the energy and the will to move any further. That’s exactly what these people count on.

From sign-up and payment of deposit it seemed to take a long time to get to installation; The product and installation look fine; I'm satisfied with the product; the downloadable system App is a handy tool for quick reference to solar battery performance; I think the market is very competitive and I have chosen unwisely; this solar battery is far more expensive than its competitors; I should have done more comparison research; instead I assumed wrongly they would be all roughly the same; do your homework

Very disappointing experience.
I accepted a position with Power Smart Solutions based on employment terms that had been discussed, including a signing bonus. I then purchased equipment for the role, prepared to commence work, and turned down other employment opportunities.
Communication then became extremely limited, and shortly before I was due to start, my contract was cancelled and the arrangements discussed were not fulfilled.
I understand that business circumstances can change, but clearer communication and greater transparency would have prevented significant inconvenience and financial loss. Based on my experience, I would recommend getting every condition confirmed in a signed written agreement before making any commitments or turning down other opportunities.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend Power Smart Solutions
The solar and battery system itself may be fine, but the after-sales support has been extremely disappointing. The installer never enabled the Wi-Fi dongle, which means we cannot connect to the monitoring app for our battery system.
We have now contacted support three separate times through their website contact form and have received no reply at all. We also explained that we cannot remove the cover ourselves because one screw mechanism has retracted internally and the other is excessively tight, making it inaccessible without assistance.
When you spend this kind of money on a solar and battery installation, basic setup support and communication should not be this difficult. At this point we feel completely ignored once payment was made.
I normally try to resolve issues privately before leaving reviews, but after multiple unanswered support requests I feel other customers should be aware of our experience.

Half done, mess
No instructions on how to connect to system via app. When blackout only half the house runs off battery. Rubbish left in gutters causing overflow when it rained, cable ties and wires. Conduit put in roof space that has blocked in items stored there. Large holes left in the roof sarking, where they bought in conduits

We deliberately allowed some time before writing this review to gain real-world experience with our system.
Verdict to date: Power Smart Solutions delivered a strong overall outcome.
They installed an 8.8kW solar system in May 2024, followed by a 19.2kWh battery in September 2025.
While not absolutely everything went to plan, we’ve still opted for a 5-star rating. In today’s Australia, finding truly flawless service has become very rare.
What matters more is how issues are handled—and in our case, matters were ultimately resolved.
When it comes to solar and battery systems, we strongly recommend rigorously self-educating before engaging an installer. A basic technical understanding puts you in control and helps align expectations on both sides.
Initially, we requested a battery-ready inverter. In practice, the inverter needed to be replaced at the time of battery installation. Additionally, the originally planned battery location in the garage had to be changed on the day, which was a little frustrating—but it was eventually sorted out.
The overall system performs very well, and the Sungrow app is a significant improvement over the previous GoodWe app we had been using.
Based on our research, we also requested blackout protection. This feature is yet to be fully tested, as we haven’t experienced any outages longer than 30 minutes since installation—but it’s reassuring to have in place.
After analysing system performance and figures to date, our next step will be integrating with an automated wholesale electricity platform to further optimise returns.
Overall, a solid result, a well-performing system, and a company we’re comfortable recommending—particularly for informed customers who take the time to understand what they’re investing in.

Not the best experience
As hubby and I both work with contracts and a lot of tradespeople we will not be recommending this company to any of associates. We were told one price and agreed upon it. Then, we were told that we had additional prices. Put on because the sales team did not know what they were doing. Then, we agreed upon that the installers got to the house and then They said they couldn't do what we agreed upon they had to take panels off.
Which they discounted but this deal did not make up for all stress that my husband was put through with this company
