The Psychiatrist who conducted my Review was very Professional, friendly, courteous, respectful and friendly. She showed a lot of empathy for me and my difficulties. She was also extremely friendly and kind. I would Highly Recommend her for all these traits as well as her natural compassionate nature which helped hugely with my Anxiety.

Good experience from start to finish. Forms easy to open and fill in, and to follow 'whats next'
Appointments quite quick bit awkward being online (especially when an experienced masker, I'm 60 )
Would like them to have done a audhd assessment but only seperate adhd and autism available, would having the autistic assessment first been better? Scored high but not high enough for ADHD, then had 2nd assessment which gave an autistic diagnosis.
Obviously this is different for everyone though, depending on which is the higher leaning to?
Mixed assessments would get around this.

I had an ASD assessment with Psychiatry UK via NHS Right to Choose. I had put off seeking an assessment for many years because I was unsure I'd be understood, I genuinely feared being ridiculed, but the process through Psychiatry UK has in fact been painless, and the actual assessment being conducted so well was a big part of that. I went with Dr Soumaya Nasser el din; she was very clear and reassuring, and she gave me space to think and speak. She had clearly read and understood my forms and evidence thoroughly, and is clearly knowledgeable not only about neurodiversity but the wider mental health difficulties a patient can face. I am very happy I chose her for my assessment and would highly recommend her and Psychiatry UK.

This service meant to speed up the process...
You never know what's going on- are you still on waiting list? GP unable to check it ( they can,but are "too busy").
If you're OK with 4-5 years waiting time it maybe the right service for you.

Professional, fast to respond and very friendly

Excellent service. I felt listened to and not rushed I would recommend this service, extremely helpful and supportive

I had a positive experience with the service.
The response time was very quick compared to other similar services and my gp referred me through right to choose due to them being quick and good at what they do. I was seen from the comfort of my own home via video meetings which made the process a lot less anxiety filled. I was told at the end of each meeting if I met the criteria or not which put my mind at ease instead of having to wait for the report to get an answer. The reports were then sent in less than 10 days. I was placed on the waiting list for support with my condition within that same meeting.

Overall the service was great, the response time was quick and I would recommend this service to others due to my positive experience

I was assessed for ADHD by Psychiatry-UK in January 2026 and subsequently placed on their medication titration waiting list.
During my assessment I was told the wait was “more than six months”. Psychiatry-UK's own subsequent complaint investigation states that their estimated waiting time at the time was actually up to 12 months. I was later told around 12 months, and I have now been advised that the current estimate is approximately 14–15 months.
My frustration is that had I understood at the outset that I could realistically be waiting 12–15 months, I would have seriously considered paying privately rather than spending most of a year waiting on this pathway.
I therefore made a formal complaint and asked Psychiatry-UK to consider expedited treatment. Their final response acknowledged that the changing estimates had affected decisions I made about my treatment, but they did not uphold the complaint and offered no practical remedy beyond remaining on the existing waiting list.
What I find particularly frustrating is that Psychiatry-UK also operates a private ADHD service where treatment can apparently be accessed substantially sooner. Their response focused on why they could not move me ahead of other NHS/Right to Choose patients, rather than properly addressing whether their private capacity could be used as a remedy without disadvantaging another NHS patient.
I have now asked them to review that specific point and to explain the apparent discrepancy between being told “more than six months” at assessment while their complaint investigation says the estimate at that time was “up to 12 months”.
I completely understand that healthcare waiting times can change and that estimates are not guarantees. My issue is the scale of the change, the information available when I made decisions about my treatment, and the fact that after acknowledging the impact, Psychiatry-UK's complaint response effectively leaves me in exactly the same position.
