I was feeling very over whelmed before my anxiety hit the roof.
The doctor made me feel safe and comftable and I was able to relax.

Really great so far, lovely helpful doctor, but think I’m going to be waiting awhile on the titration team.

The initial waiting times for the neurodivergent appointments can be quite long and I would say that is the only downside. I was diagnosed with autism in roughly three months and then ADHD after that roughly 3-4 months but the wait time to start titration for medication was a year. I dont view this as a fault of psychiatry uk but the demand for these services being higher now more adults are being treated. I have seen other services wait times are much worse at a 3-5 year turn around from diagnosis to medication. So absolutely not the worst option out there. Both my doctors who diagnosed me were professional and polite, asked me loads of questions, listened carefully when I spoke, I felt heard. My prescriber who helped me through the titration process of starting the ADHD medication was lovely, extremely professional, polite, told me all the information I would need to know when starting. I had to change medication during the process and he made me feel like it was no trouble at all and all they wanted was to help and not make things more difficult than they need to be. Ordering the medication is extremely easy as the website is also easy to navigate. The medication arrives very safely which is a huge relief considering its a controlled drug. All in all a very unexpected pleasant experience and im glad psychiatry uk is on the NHS right to choose because they are professional, knowledgeable and helpful and ive been very happy with everything they have helped me with.

I rate so highly as I feel like I was finally listened too, helped and lifted a weight of my shoulders that I've been carrying round! No pressure on the meeting just help and advice and guidance on going forward that will hopefully benefit me and my family

Excluding the wait time of course everything else was really helpful and I am glad I am able to receive some assistance with the hard times I am going through

I thought Psychiatry UK did an excellent job of making the whole process easy from booking an appointment to speaking with an expert. Generally I felt like I was in safe hands and that my matter was being taken seriously. Someone who has concerns about having a neurodevelopmental disorder, usually seeks confirmation on a diagnosis to give them some sort of clarity for the issues that they have experienced in life thusfar, so they are already usually either lost broken or emotionally struggling, so having an efficient service helps those dealing with such issues to feel heard and seen.

Looking after me and giving me e the right medication

Prescriber mucked me about and halted my meds when I finally got to the dose that was working. I had to start again on the lowest dose by the time he would prescribe again, and then I got to the end of titration and they wouldn't put me back up to the dose that worked. I'm now stuck on a low dose that doesn't work and I can't be increased for another 6-12 months!

Had my adhd through Pyschiatry UK. So disorganised, kept get delayed - I even stopped breastfeeding to start my medication then they delayed it 3 months. Couldn’t speak to anyone on the phone it’s all done online and took so long to get anything done then they said I was too late to try a different medication even though I asked for it so early on. My Medication would take so long from requesting to receiving repeats. My husband went through someone else for his ADHD and was far better. I hope I just had a bad experience because it was pretty appalling.

A pleasant experience and lovely Dr that puts you at ease

The gentleman I spoke with was very helpful and patient with me. Everything was relatively easy and quick to do.

Titration. I ask to change medication at the end of September. It's now 12 days later. Despite 2 prescriptions being generated none have actually arrived. I had to hand back all of my other medication 13 days ago. I did ask to communicate by phone but you cant get that, only notes which are replied to at best days later . It's very poor.

Whilst the initial waiting time to see a psychologist was almost 18 months and then another year for a titration appointment, the whole experience has been life changing. Kate, my prescriber was absolutely amazing and did everything that she said was going to do. The process working with her was effortless. She monitored everything and responded to my notes and worries within a short period of time, sometimes responding late in the evening. Thank you for everything.
