Psychiatry UK Avis 

I thought Psychiatry UK did an excellent job of making the whole process easy from booking an appointment to speaking with an expert. Generally I felt like I was in safe hands and that my matter was being taken seriously. Someone who has concerns about having a neurodevelopmental disorder, usually seeks confirmation on a diagnosis to give them some sort of clarity for the issues that they have experienced in life thusfar, so they are already usually either lost broken or emotionally struggling, so having an efficient service helps those dealing with such issues to feel heard and seen.

Looking after me and giving me e the right medication

Prescriber mucked me about and halted my meds when I finally got to the dose that was working. I had to start again on the lowest dose by the time he would prescribe again, and then I got to the end of titration and they wouldn't put me back up to the dose that worked. I'm now stuck on a low dose that doesn't work and I can't be increased for another 6-12 months!

Had my adhd through Pyschiatry UK. So disorganised, kept get delayed - I even stopped breastfeeding to start my medication then they delayed it 3 months. Couldn’t speak to anyone on the phone it’s all done online and took so long to get anything done then they said I was too late to try a different medication even though I asked for it so early on. My Medication would take so long from requesting to receiving repeats. My husband went through someone else for his ADHD and was far better. I hope I just had a bad experience because it was pretty appalling.

A pleasant experience and lovely Dr that puts you at ease

The gentleman I spoke with was very helpful and patient with me. Everything was relatively easy and quick to do.

Titration. I ask to change medication at the end of September. It's now 12 days later. Despite 2 prescriptions being generated none have actually arrived. I had to hand back all of my other medication 13 days ago. I did ask to communicate by phone but you cant get that, only notes which are replied to at best days later . It's very poor.

Helped me when NHS failed me to be honest. Provided a service and helped me with my medication also my prescriber replies promptly when I have an issue and the doctor I have for appointments always good

Whilst the initial waiting time to see a psychologist was almost 18 months and then another year for a titration appointment, the whole experience has been life changing. Kate, my prescriber was absolutely amazing and did everything that she said was going to do. The process working with her was effortless. She monitored everything and responded to my notes and worries within a short period of time, sometimes responding late in the evening. Thank you for everything.

Psychiatry UK have been absolutely phenomenal, from the date my GP referred me to them, to the date of diagnosis was only one week! I couldn’t ask for better.

Having gone through the 12 week titration and the long waitlist, I felt I was taken care of and they really wanted to try and find the right medication for you. My prescriber was great and understanding and guided me through the process smoothly!

My assessment with Dr S Ilyas was amazing. He was very professional and made me feel very at ease. I usually find it difficult to talk to strangers but his manner was very calming and reassuring. The whole process had a very quick turnaround. I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone that like me, who has been putting off the process for many years due to nerves. Fabulous service all round!

The waiting list was a lot quicker than my children have waited and easy to book a suitable time for consultation. My psychiatrist was amazing, really listened, empathetic, used the right questioning techniques to get the information she needed to make an informed diagnosis. I am now on the titration list and understand that this is a very long waiting list and that there are other things I can do to help myself. I have done over 40 years, I can wait another couple.
