ADHD assessment
whenever i have made a mistake on the forms the people on the phone have been lovely and sent me new ones . Dr Whan was very reassuring and explained my diagnosis to be clearly and explained the next steps to me aswell as advice on where i could find extra advice and support.

I didn’t have a good experience …
The questions were closed and open questions would have allowed me to discuss my symptoms, though adhd does usually show in childhood my childhood was very traumatic and I diliberately do not care to remember it, I expressed this too the psychiatrist but he seemed unable to work around this- this has left me feeling upset, exposed and without diagnosis

Quick and stress free.
The whole service was really quicl, the online questionare easy to use and great to have boxes to explain thoughts and the online assessment was no way near as scary or intimidating as other assessments i have seen. I know a few people who are going to go to right to choose and i reccomended Psychiatry uk to all of them.

I found it comfortable talking to the Dr about my problems/issues something I have not been able to do before which felt like shedding a weight off my shoulders that I have been carrying around for most of my life.
I now have an understanding of my condition which I will always have but I can now try to adapt myself to cope.
I am really grateful to the Dr for his assessment & professionalism.

I had a great experience
I had a great experience, my appointment was with Helen Glegg, and she was absolutely lovely, easy to talk with, and very understanding.
Also using the pyschiatry uk website I found was easy, and being able to have an online appointment was great, and sending the link as a text was super helpful as everything gets lost in my emails.
My sister waiting 3 years for her autism assessment I feel really grateful mine was under a year waiting time.

Good service
Took around 3 years from referral to reach end of titration, which was expected. Easy simple portal system that works well. Medication never had any delays and took a few days once processed. Solid feedback from my prescriber never had to wait more than a day sometimes two for a response. I think they could benefit from having 3 week video call reviews rather than it all being through portal messages especially if you have many questions. Agree 12 weeks isn’t always enough time to find the right dose for some but there is a huge backlog of people waiting for diagnosis and treatment! If this was extended the waiting time would significantly increase. To summarise I haven’t really had any issues with psychiatry uk, and think they do a good job!

Doing my assesment online was much easier due to anxiety when meeting new people. I felt comftable being able to sit in my own house using my phone.

I am an ADHD patient
I am an ADHD patient. Once I was able to get the appointment set it was a great experience. Team at Psychiatry UK is professional and was keeping me informed and safe. I received feedback and support almost immediately (usually within 24hrs)when I needed it. Very good experience. Is wish I could continue. Just the waiting times were horrible. Waited for initial diagnosis 11 months and titration for 13 months. It wasn't the easiest of times but it was worth to wait as the treatment changed my life. Thank you.

ASD and ADHD assessment…
I had both my ASD and ADHD assessment with this company. I felt like I barely had any weight time at all before I was seen responses were very quick and the service was brilliant. Both clinical psychologists were very nice and accommodating. They understood that the process was stressful. Make time for me to get my opinions and views accross.
I felt heard and validated and recommend anybody that feels like they might need this service use these.

Just a number to them, very rushed process
Crazy waiting list to start meds, took me a year between diagnosis to starting titration.
Tools 5 days for a reply from titration nurse sometimes, and that's not really ideal when having worrying symptoms and needed advise on meds.
I was told to increase my dose even though I was massively struggling with side effects already-the increase they instructed me to make (obviously) just made my symptoms worse. I basically just felt like a number and felt like the whole thing was rushed.

We are sorry that, when your dosage was increased, you felt your concerns had not been heard or given the attention they deserved. With your symptoms worsening, you needed time to discuss what was happening and feel supported, rather than rushed through the process. You deserved to feel listened to and to receive timely, caring communication about your concerns. Your safety and wellbeing matter to us, and we are taking what you have shared seriously. We are currently reviewing our communication and response times, alongside your experience, with our clinical team to address delays in responding and ensure that concerns about medication side effects receive the care and attention they deserve.
Game changer
The whole process was easy to complete and follow due to the timely and effective digital communication.
Any face to face correspondence via teams was conducted professionally, honestly and with compassion.
Any queries were answered and support given. Designated points of contact were approachable and friendly.
This company and the service they have provided have been a game changer for me from diagnosis, titration and aftercare. I will continue to recommend Psychiatry UK.
