Do not use, customer service non existent

I have been trying to resolve an issue since Feb 2026 with RLD and the parent company. Buy a gift. I was charged for the experience by RLD and then again by the venue when booking . After 3 tedious conversations with customer service with supplying same information and screen shots and emails as evidence I gave in and said just credit my experience and I’ll use at a later date, simple you would think. But no the voucher is staying redeemed so I can’t use as a credit. After a previous trust pilot review in March I was given another complaints dept who again i supplied all the same information to finally receive communication last week that they are still trying to speak to the partner to confirm. Last week I asked to progress my complaint to a formal complaint as they have all the evidence that I was charged twice and all they have to do is credit my original voucher. I’m not asking for money back, I’ll use the voucher on something else. To date no response not even acknowledgement of my email. It operating like a scam company .

Really enjoyable experience.

The whole Triumph Tour and factory were well thought out and was extremely good. The tour guide was very enthusiastic about Triumph( as are we) and knowledgeable about the brand. We would recommend this experience to anyone who is interested in motorcycles.

OXO tower tea for two

I bought afternoon tea for two at the OXO tower restaurant, which in itself she said was lovely. The problem was, she (and I) had thought that the entire experience was paid for. She is 82 and travelled there on her freedom pass but after enjoying the tea, she was presented with a bill of £13.94 which was service charge. I find it disgusting that when you buy someone an experience as a gift they are presented with a bill. Not good in my opinion 🥺

The room was so noisy

The room was so noisy, couldn’t hear yourself speak, waited for pot of tea, then got sandwiches then tea, not enough sandwiches and too many cakes, once you had afternoon tea, you were not asked if you would like any more tea or drink from bar, then when ready to leave, no one to greet you out of the dining area, plus there was a strong smell of spicy strong food in reception which was over powering, but the garden and fountain was beautiful, although it was a warm sunny day.

Really loved the online escape room

Really loved the online escape room.
Brought for a birthday gift however I had issues with booking of the event as their Web page wouldn't load.

It was easily sorted via the online chat with an email sent to me from the supplier to book through them.

Would of been 5 stars if the website would of let me book myself and their chat bot would of put me through to the support earlier rather than having to wait two days.

Good value for money and fun game.

An absolute joke from start to finish! Don't waste your money

An absolute joke from start to finish. Paid for a trip, uploaded the 20% off voucher code as a welcome gift. Did not work, took 1 hour to get through to the chat, and after another 45 minutes back & forth, I was advised that the code would not work on promotional gifts, although I did not choose a oromotional gift, they said they would offer me a credit not, I wanted a full refund. They only would eventually refund me my ourchase price but refused to refund me my express delivery and my gift box, even though they would not be sending my purchase, so I'm paying for delivery and a gift box that are not in use! Corrupt and rude staff. I went on to ourchase from Virgin experience days and was very happy!

A nightmare trying to book anything

A nightmare trying to book anything. Had to extend the expiry date, which they said was £20, but it cost £60. Picked out accomodation , which was £149.95, we were told we had to pay an extra £31 before it would check available dates. When we paid this, it told us there was no availability for any dates in the near future. It then offered us a one night stay in a Premier Inn or Travelodge.in city centres of no interest to us or a number of other hotels if we paid another £50 (again it had to paid before we could check availability. We then contacted the accommodation of our choice, who told us they did have the available dates we wanted. Thankfully, they handled all the booking for us. Full credit to the hotel we stayed in. They handled everything & were exceptionally friendly & helpful throughout. Also, I’ve twice “unsubscribed” from the Red Letter promotional emails but still they come.

Discount not worth it.

Purchased afternoon tea with 22% discount for a birthday which was lovely and easy. Problem started when I tried to book the chosen place. I had the place in mind when i purchased the gift voucher. When I went to redeem it, long story short I was made to pay extra to book the place! Why give discount if you are just going to charge more?? My friend did the same and wasn’t charge any extra charge. I couldn’t get the lady to on the chat to understand why I wasn’t happy. Next time I will book directly with the tea rooms as don’t work out any cheaper.
Would like to say the tea rooms we went too were amazing and the food was lovely. Would recommend them but maybe booking directly with them.

Haldon Forrest Experience

I booked a segway experience for friends at Exeter Haldon Forrest. Only to discover that it was no longer available there. As the location was important I cancelled it and eventually got s refund. The advert was very misleading and I would not use them again.

Purchase with caution

The idea in principle seems fine - stuck for gift ideas? Give an experience, memories. Not a thoughtless item like money or gift that ends up in the back of a cupboard.
I'm sure that for experience days the voucher would work reasonably well with the choices on offer.

However using the voucher seems a convoluted process with a website that could do with some refinement.
All I wanted was a hotel stay.
Difficulty is (from what I could see, or if so not easy to navigate) is that you have to purchase (redeem voucher) first without the possibility of ensuring availability of dates needed for your chosen venue.
The slap in the face comes from then having to potentially pay *extra*.
Yes, I know. Prices do vary depending on days. However, the fact I could have booked direct or through Booking.com for less makes it infuriating. It makes sites like RLD feel like an unnecessary middleman.

*Edit - 2 star seemed a little harsh in retrospect. This will work for some and not so much for others depending on requirements

Redemption of voucher not working and company uncontactable

I purchased a voucher for a comic subscription for my son. On trying to redeem the voucher, the page wouldn’t load on multiple devices. I cannot contact the company - the AI help chat tells me they don’t offer ‘subscriptions’ and so won’t accept my request for help and I have used the contact form on the website but had no reply.i have also tried to email the email address included in their replies to other dissatisfied customers on Trustpilot and it bounces!! Absolutely dreadful and currently feeling like I’ve been scammed.

Useless Customer Service

My experience with Red Letter Days and Everyman Driving Experiences has been ongoing for over 6 months and still remains unresolved.

What was supposed to be a 30th birthday present turned into an exhausting and stressful experience involving repeated unwanted phone calls, poor communication, and a dispute over hundreds of pounds in additional charges.

The original voucher purchased for me was worth £161 for a 6 supercar blast experience. However, I was then pressured into paying a further £360 in upgrades, supplements and extras. I have since successfully recovered those additional payments through bank chargebacks.

From the moment I booked, Everyman repeatedly insisted on contacting me by phone despite me explaining that I work night shifts and preferred email communication. Calls were made at inappropriate times, including shortly after waking from night shifts, and I found the sales approach during these conversations extremely pushy.

One call involved rearranging my original booking date. During that conversation I was encouraged into additional purchases and upgrades, but no meaningful explanation was given regarding cancellation terms or refund options. When I later attempted to cancel via email, my concerns were dismissed and communication became increasingly difficult.

A later phone call with a member of staff named Meg was one of the worst customer service interactions I have experienced. Rather than attempting to resolve the issue, the conversation became confrontational and deeply unprofessional.

I also submitted a Subject Access Request requesting copies of recorded calls. Everyman failed to provide these recordings, which I raised during the bank dispute process.

What I find most frustrating is Red Letter Days’ complete inability to properly intervene. Despite the original March booking being cancelled, and despite Everyman no longer holding my additional payments following successful chargebacks, I was still being told the experience remained booked for a later May date.

After 6 months, I am still left without a proper resolution. Instead of offering a fair outcome or allowing the voucher to be reused for another experience, Red Letter Days offered me a discount towards purchasing yet another voucher.

Overall, this experience has completely destroyed my confidence in both companies. I would strongly advise others to read the terms carefully, be cautious of significant additional charges, and consider how customer concerns are handled when problems arise.

What makes this even worse is that I already left a negative review months ago in the hope it would finally prompt meaningful action. I then followed up directly with Red Letter Days to try and resolve matters privately and reasonably, yet despite having every opportunity to step in, investigate properly and bring this to an end, they have still failed to provide any genuine resolution. The fact that a customer has to repeatedly chase, escalate and publicly complain over a birthday gift experience says everything about how these issues are being handled.
