I had two red letter day experiences
I had two red letter day experience the same day so im unsure which you are referring to.. one was a river cruise which was ok .. the second was a sweet treat for 2 at slug and lettuce. We decided as we had this thst we would have lunch there first.. the food was terrible, I sent mine back, it was changed but was still tasteless. The sweet treat was a dessert.. the choice was very limited. Only two desserts didn’t contain alcohol and we don’t drink.. my friend swapped hers for a coffee that was tepid, i had churros which were dry as they’d been over cooked.. the sauce was tasteless.. never again would ibgo to that pub.. Neither would I recall red letter days.. i think there are other complaints that do better choices with better services.

I found the website difficult to…
I found the website difficult to negotiate and when we found the event was more than 60 miles away so the first change was for a different event nearby home but I failed to manage the booking on line so went to the restaurant and arranged it and they excepted the gift token saving more problems with non tech savvy pensioners struggling with modern technology.

One gift booked with red letter days and 1 gift booked with Buy a gift 18 months apart!
It allowed my friend to use some of my voucher and when I tried to book my theatre trip it said I had booked a spa day when I hadn't
They still have not resolved my friends query and after many many emails they refunded my voucher but it turned out my friend had booked the spa day with her voucher. I will NEVER use this company again and she is hundreds of pounds out of pocket. You cannot talk to a human to get issues resolved. Really poor service. They have admitted they have mixed up the vouchers but not resolved it!!!

I bought this voucher as you state we could use the Ballantine spar day in Cardiff. We have phoned to make a booking and they say they do not do red letter days. Please can you advise

First thing, you asked how you did. You did nothing apart from sending out the voucher. I could not book the event through your website and ended up having to go to the event organiser's website. This was very annoying and time consuming. I shall not be using you again!!!

Fun forge and cider mill experience!
We started the day at Oldfield's forge with a great experience of making a bottle opener. Our teacher, Feb, was brilliant! We were shown different techniques to achieve different results as we shaped our creation! There's a really good café at the forge too.
We moved on to the Weston Cider mill tour and tasting experience. There is a drive of about 25 minutes between the forge and cider mill. Great experience again, very interesting to be shown around the facility. The tasting session was enjoyed before going into the shop to purchase a favourite or two. Well worth booking this experience.

Poor experience!
The first time we tried to spend our voucher the partner had changed the venue we wanted to book at so had to request a partial refund for the extra we had paid. Then the booking page would not work for the next experience we tried to book. These vouchers are a nice idea but it is not set up properly and just makes for a poor experience trying to book things that are impossible to book!
