Reliable Store is a SCAM. Ordered goods never delivered and they sent a delivery link that reveals nonsense info.

Horrible service, took forever to get here.

Now its been delivered, damaged beyond use and not similar to product offered on the web either!

No responce whatsoever on the refund

Good day, after three months of trying to get anything from them I have now discovered that reliable store and payfast seem to be working together to insure that I won't get a refund as both parties constantly have excuses and keep insisting I should provide private information regarding my bank account in order to be able to refund my money. Both parties want information that could be used for fraud ext. I have given up on the money that was stolen and would now rather warn everyone against using reliable store and payfast as they work together. Please exercise caution with these criminals.

If i could rate below 1, I would. Absolutely pathetic shop. I ordered in January and received incorrect items 2 months later. They sent someone to collect but after after almost another 2 months, I still haven't received my refund.

-5 stars. Total scam. Stay away from reliable store. They are absolutely pathetic. Stole R1450, no communication and everytime another story when you phone them.

Kindly be advised that the video you supplied does not provide sufficient evidence that the item delivered is defective as you have stated, kindly use the item for items like a refrigerator or any other appliance.

What is a coffee machine, not an appliance? This shows again that the (un)reliable (fraud) shop is always giving you new useless tasks to show them, that the item is faulty.
All other people in the world are clever enough to understand what is wrong when seeing my video or only getting a description of the fault.

My answer was:

F...k you, I brought this item for my Coffee machine not for a fridge. The Coffee machine is also an appliance! And also I can't bring the batteries to the fridge in the upper floor. Each has a weight of 73kg. You'll always find a reason to treat your customers until they are giving up. But not me!

Watchdog warns about shopping at “unreliable” online store

The Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO) has issued a statement warning consumers to avoid doing business with Reliable Store.

MyBroadband has also received several complaints from customers claiming that the retailer is taking money from South Africans and failing to deliver the goods or process refunds.

“Consumers are warned to be careful when trading with Reliable Store as they have [proven], based on their response to complaints received by this office, to not be reliable,” the CGSO said.

It noted that it had received 93 complaints against Reliable Store between 1 October 2022 and 1 December 2022.

It said the retailer had initially responded to some of the complaints submitted to it by the CGSO, adding that it also received acknowledgement emails from Reliable Store’s suppliers.

“The supplier refunded some complainants and delivered the correct orders in some of the resolved complaints,” the CGSO said.

Attempting to access the “PC Computers” section of the store returned the above error.
“However, Reliable Store has since stopped responding to our office nor to the complainants and has subsequently stopped resolving complaints.”

It said it issued termination notices for 35 complaints and advised complainants to escalate the issues to the National Consumer Commission.

The CGSO said Reliable Store had contravened sections 19 and 41 of the consumer protection act (CPA).

Section 19 of the CPA stipulates that suppliers must refund customers if they cannot deliver goods or services by the agreed-upon date.

Section 41 of the CPA relates to false, misleading, or deceptive advertisements regarding service availability, delivery, or performance within a specific time frame.

Curiously, while still up and running, Reliable Store’s website appears to be advertising a limited product catalogue, with some of the product categories returning 404 error messages.

If I could give less starts I would. They do not deliver products as promised and are now refusing to pay back my money. It has been over a year that I have tried to get back my money and each time there is a new person 'helping' me and then the excuses just keeps on coming. Their service is pathetic, their customer service is pathetic and they steal your money. Do not buy from them!!!!

Misleading search and product offering. Advertised 2-pack item for a set price but then try and charge for each item. When queried the reply was vague and ambiguous.
Unfortunately this seem to be a tactic to fool the search engines.

Never use this store. Please save yourself the headache and money...they went silent after I made my payment. No order number nothing. They don't reply to emails and are so slow at solving queries. I've been waiting 3 weeks for a refund. They don't want to give me my refund.

Worst online shopper ever..what they advertise and what you get is completely different.. I bought a 30x magnification magnifier and on both occasions they delivered a small normal magnifier that I can buy in town for R20 ... They can not procure what the deliver and I am now waiting to see how long it will take them to refund me .. I will rather pay more in town than ever buying from the again and I will recommend that you never ever use them ... Took them 6 months to deliver and still they can't get the order correct..I am considering contacting the consumer ombudsman for they are not an ethical company.. I would rate the -100000 if I could ..

I am not surprised when seeing a 1.2 rating. This is also too much. I guess from the 95 % negative ratings the 5 % who may have had better experiences are probably reviews given by themselves using aliases.
This is the worst company on the internet to deal with. I probably will never get my parcel ordered or my refund. These are online thieves. They fleece people out of their money by posing as a legitimate business. They should be banned and investigated.

Don't ever do business with this company - they take ages to answer your e-mail; you can't get any manager or owner on the phone to talk to. I bought some items from them they decide to send the wrong item after 6 weeks I returned it after several emails going forward and backward requesting them to come and collect the item. Their refund policy is 10 working days. The item was returned end of Feb 2023 and we are still waiting for our refund. Their services are so bad that even a 1-star will be too good for them.

They took a lot longer to deliver than I expected. They could have let me know there was a delay. I felt I was left hanging, wondering if I had been scammed. But they did deliver. And the product is as described. So I am satisfied in the end. Thank you reliablestore. But just get someone onto customer expectations management side of things.

This is s scam, they dont actually provide the products, they just take your money. Then stop responding to your requests.

I ordered an item on the 27th of Feb 2023 and paid R2 159,00 and the promise was it will be delivered in three weeks I've written emails and called but no assistance on their side so far. Whenever i call i get a "you arre now second on the line, then 1st in the line" afterwards the call is dropped everytime i think they are a scam and I'll never get the product or atleast a refund

I ordered online but my order never arrived!
I emailed them and phoned them on numerous occasions but I was left on hold or told I was a certain number in a queue but then cut off!!
THIS IS A FRAUD.
SADLY I DONT KNOW HOW TO TAKE THIS FURTHER?

Do not buy from this store total scam!!!!! One thing is reliable it will take your money.

This site is a scam site. You are not guaranteed of all items sold by them to be delivered. I have paid for an item that has not found it's way to me in months. I would not use this site ever again.

Fraud. Don't fall victim.
