Slade's Garden and Building Supplies Avis 

Delivery was on time. We were going out at a certain time. Delivery driver was informed and made the effort to get there on time, perfect.

Everything went as expected - website worked well & the delivery driver couldn't have been more helpful

Communication was really clear throughout, with a clear delivery window/ time given on the day.
The stones were intact. Even had a spare one..!
Delivery driver was helpful and very friendly.
Would recommend. Not laid the stones yet, but they look fab.

I ordered around £750 worth of patio slabs from Slade’s Garden and paid £50 for next-day delivery. I appreciate that I placed the order after their cut-off time, so I was expecting delivery the following day. Unfortunately, the slabs didn’t arrive for the following three days.

I emailed and called multiple times and was repeatedly told that the order was out for delivery. It eventually became apparent that the delivery was being handled by Palletways, so I contacted them directly. I was then told that, due to delays within their network, there was no realistic prospect of the slabs being delivered for several more days.

This was particularly disappointing because Slade’s had the product at a better price than I could find elsewhere, and I genuinely wanted to buy from them. The £50 delivery charge was refunded promptly when I raised the issue, and I have to say that the women I dealt with in the office and by email were lovely, responsive and helpful throughout.

Unfortunately, refunding the delivery charge doesn’t solve the underlying problem when the reason for paying for next-day delivery was to actually receive the slabs when promised. After several days of chasing with no clear delivery date, I eventually had no choice but to cancel the entire order and collect the slabs from B&Q the following day instead.

I’ve been informed that my full refund has now been processed, so I’m just waiting for the funds to clear back into my bank.

Overall, a really disappointing experience. The staff I dealt with were great, but the delivery arrangements and communication around the delivery were not. It’s a shame, because the price was good and I would have happily used Slade’s Garden again if the delivery had been handled properly.

Great price free delivery and really helpful driver who placed pallet exactly where I wanted it with his palletiser.

I thought I ordered 40mm x 80mm cobbles stones but when I received smaller sizes in the end it did look lovely I was happy with it

Excellent sales and after sales service. Regular updates on the order and transportation. The patio slabs we bought were of excellent quality and true to advertisement on Slade’s website. They arrived promptly considering they were crossing the country, and all were intact. Would definitely use Slade’s again.

Fantastic service, few days delivered, everything perfect.

the delivery was delayed 3 day in row which I had to stay at home. the crate was loaded on and off the delivery lorries resulting in it being broken. 2 pa;;etts were placed underneath the crate but these too became dilapidated. 2 of the slabs were broken and one was missing (I only recd 53 whole slabs) Sp overall one star is probably a compliment.

Got what I wanted, when I wanted it and delivered to my door. Good price too. Used Slades before and will use them again.

Purchase was easy and the product was as described. Issue was delivery with minimal warning of delivery. I had no delivery date given and was only messaged on the day of delivery, luckily we were home or we could have been charged £75 for non delivery. Whether this is an issue with the courier as I had no delivery code so could not check on the courier website

The items were not delivered on the day notified and it was very inconvenient for me waiting inside all day when I could have been working. Pellet of paving were delivered the next day. The Driver/courier was very helpful and polite. And he placed the pavings in a convenient place for me. Paving slabs were in good condition.

Quality materials . Delivery perfect

It was nice that I received the blocks on time.
Only one thing to say it was what I wanted.

The Brett's Chaucer's slabs I wasn't very impressed with The quality of the slabs they sent. Very poor.
