I was in as a day case for surgery to fix my shoulder at Spire Nottingham and can honestly say my experience exceeded expectations. Fanastic, friendly and very professional staff who made sure my visit was comfortable, great communication and I left feeling that I had been well looked after.
CHRIS TERZIC is narcissistic
CHRIS TERZIC is narcissistic. If you have a situation at work , he will, Not back you up Nor do the right thing for You! He will tell you that you're going to get paid this amount of money but then it comes out to where you get less. He says that you're guaranteed holiday pay but I don't think he understands what that means because you do not get paid holiday pay. He says you're guaranteed 40 hours but again he does not know what that means because if you do not work 40 hours you do not get it. That is not what you call Guaranteed 40 hours. For example epic Healthcare Staffing says you are guaranteed 40 hours and they pay you 40 hours no matter what! Same with the holiday pay. The only reason why I gave two stars was for the credentialing and onboarding. Kathryn, with credentialing and you're onboarding was awesome!
Exceptional standards
I Recently underwent a procedure at the Spire Hospital as an NHS patient, the care and attention I recieved was absolutely second to none, would highly recommend to anybody undergoing NHS or private treatment, the hospital is a large and contemporary building maintained to a high standard
Poor Time Management and Poor Care
I was referred to Spire Liverpool Hospital as an NHS patient by my GP after sustaining a muscle injury. I was instructed to arrive fifteen minutes before my appointment, only to find myself waiting an hour and forty-five minutes to see the doctor.
A man seated next to me arrived five minutes after I did and was called in approximately five minutes before me, meaning that he had endured a similarly lengthy wait. An elderly gentleman seated on my other side arrived ten minutes after me and was still waiting when I was finally called in.
Given the claims frequently made about the benefits of private healthcare, particularly shorter waiting times, my experience was hardly a ringing endorsement. Indeed, I have never experienced such a lengthy delay when attending an NHS appointment.
While I was waiting, a woman approached reception, only to be informed that there was no record of the appointment she had been expecting to attend that day. The standard of service and organisation at this hospital appears to be appalling.
However, by far the worst aspect of my visit was the consultation itself.
The doctor examined my injury and advised me that it had probably been caught in time to prevent any lasting damage. However, he explained that I would need to undergo a three-month course of physiotherapy, after which he intended to see me again to assess my progress.
Having established that my injury and subsequent treatment were time-sensitive, I naturally assumed that my physiotherapy would begin promptly. Imagine my astonishment, therefore, when I received an appointment for physiotherapy three months later, coinciding with the very time the doctor had intended to review my progress following treatment!
Another aspect of the consultation that concerned me was the doctor's apparent failure to listen to what I was telling him.
When he asked me to explain how I had sustained my injury, I mentioned that there was an important backstory. I am currently undergoing a prolonged course of steroid treatment for an unrelated illness. Steroids can have several serious side effects, two of which I considered particularly relevant to my injury: muscle weakness and reduced bone density. Indeed, tests have already confirmed that my own bone density has been adversely affected.
The consultation was surprisingly brief, lasting between ten and fifteen minutes. Yet, towards the end of it, the doctor asked me, "So, you think that steroids are doing you some good?"
This question only reinforced my growing impression that he had not been paying proper attention to what I was saying.
Throughout the consultation, the doctor appeared impatient, repeatedly interrupting me while I was attempting to answer questions that he himself had asked. At one point, I actually had to ask him to allow me to finish explaining the discomfort I was experiencing when moving.
I left the hospital feeling that my concerns had not been properly listened to, and with a physiotherapy appointment scheduled so far into the future that it appeared to undermine the very treatment plan the doctor had recommended.
I have since contacted Spire Healthcare to raise my concerns, but they have failed to respond.
Overall, my experience of Spire Liverpool Hospital has been extremely disappointing, both in terms of its organisation and the standard of care I received.

Excellent Care and Outstanding experience
Excellent Care and Outstanding Experience
I had a wonderful experience during my stay at the private hospital for my hip replacement surgery. From the moment I arrived, I was treated with kindness, professionalism, and genuine care by the entire team.
The consultants, surgeons, nurses, physiotherapists, and all the hospital staff were exceptional. They took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made me feel comfortable, reassured, and well looked after throughout my stay.
The standard of care was excellent, and the staff were always attentive, compassionate, and quick to respond whenever I needed assistance. The cleanliness of the hospital, the comfortable surroundings, the quality of the food, and the overall organisation all contributed to a very positive experience.
Recovering from hip replacement surgery can be challenging, but the support, encouragement, and expertise of the whole team made the experience much easier and less stressful than I had anticipated.
I am truly grateful to everyone involved in my care for their dedication, kindness, and professionalism. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone considering surgery or needing private hospital care.
Thank you to the entire team for making what could have been a daunting experience such a positive one. Your care and compassion made all the difference
