Although I was referred to Spire Leeds by the NHS, it is a wonderful, caring hospital for everyone, from the receptionists through to the surgical, nursing and Physio teams, as well as the Catering team and staff.

From the initial consultation to my post-operative discharge, I was treated with the utmost respect and professional care by the team at Spire Healthcare. Despite it being an anxious time, the staff made me feel completely safe and secure. My consultant was exceptional and immediately put my mind at ease. Furthermore, the administrative process was seamless; the hospital kept my insurance company updated, and all paperwork was handled without issue. I am currently awaiting a final follow-up call regarding my results, which I am confident will be delivered promptly. The entire team is a true credit to the hospital

A good experience

I attended Spire Washington on 5 Oct 2026 for a knee consultation. The incorrect consultant was booked, my MRI and referral notes were missing from the system, and an X-ray form was written for the wrong leg. My medical history was dismissed, I was offered no pain relief, no brace guidance, and no written plan — despite being in severe pain. I felt unseen and unsupported. I hope these details are checked and improvements made so no other patient experiences this.

The staff and the facilities were excellent in every way.
It would be very difficult to find fault with anything I experienced with the hospital either before, during or after my recent visit to the spire.

I recently had surgery at The Spire hospital in Bristol and was exceptionally well looked after throughout my procedure and time in the hospital.
My Consultant surgeon Mr James Henderson was absolutely excellent as was my Anaesthetist Ed and all of the nursing and theatre staff too.
I couldn’t have asked for better care, more incredible expertise and nicer surroundings to be provided when needing to undergo surgery.
I highly recommend the hospital.

My recent experience at Spire Harpenden, undergoing a hip replacement, was wholly positive. The high standard of care given in such a comfortable environment was really excellent.

From checking in I was treated with respect.All staff were very friendly couldent do enough for me .A very good experience .The consultant spoke to me asking about my family which kept my mind off my procedure.

The team at Spire were truly exceptional and deserve an absolute 5-star rating. They treated my son with genuine care, kindness, and attention throughout his treatment, always making him feel comfortable, valued, and supported. Every member of staff went above and beyond to ensure he received the highest standard of care. Everyone involved in his care was exemplary, and we are deeply grateful for the professionalism, compassion, and dedication shown to our family during this time.

Great modern hospital. The staff are fantastic and the care shown to me was fantastic. Staff on my day was very caring and went beyond to make sure myself was okay but also my wife was checked on for coffee etc to ensure her comfort. Like small ward and cubicles with operating across corridor. From the greeting till discharge I felt cared for. Great not to worry about meters for parking if delayed as onsite.

Professional and friendly staff. Clean and modern facilities and well cared for,would be more than happy to have further treatments at spire south bank.

Very good for my needs

Due to some operation complications where they made to wrong decision on the type of anaesthetic. I received a serious chest infection and two partially collapsed lungs and was transferred to the NHS as the don’t want someone sick there in case they die and sue them. Still in the HNS hospital a week later have now said it was an unnecessary decision
What about the stress and pain which they caused?

I was really nervous about undergoing heart surgery, but from the moment I was admitted until the time I left I felt that I could have been the only patient. In addition to first class surgeons in their field, the nursing staff gave me ample time to build a trusting relationship and to explain what was happening to me as I started the recovery journey. The staff were exceptional and I feel like I made friends while I was a patient there. When it came to my discharge, I felt genuinely upset to be saying goodbye to the members of the nursing team that had held my hand through the stay. While there are some specific individuals who made such a big difference through their one-on-one nursing, the whole team from ICU to ward nursing to physio were operating as a well integrated unit. The same can be said about the catering staff and the cleaners - they made me feel cared for.

South Bank Worcester is a well run hospital with friendly staff who put you at ease after having a total knee replacement I could not have asked for any better treatment that I received during my stay All the staff are amazing and happy in what they are doing

Absolutely disgusting paid £200 for a consultation the specialist wasn't interested he hadn't read my daughters notes his manner was shocking he mumbled something about time then couldn't wait to be paid will not be using the spire Washington again
