If you are self-funding be very careful that all you might logically think is included in the fee actually is, as some of their pricing is misleading. At Warrington I had a ureteroscopy for kidney stone £ 6653 for "Endoscopic fragmentation of calculi of kidney (including cystoscopy and insertion or removal of stent" plus 1 follow-up appointment. I unfortunately did apparently need the stent and to my surprise was then required to pay another £2240 for removal of said stent. That procedure took 10 minutes. This makes no sense as no-one is going to keep the stent in. There should have been clear notification from the start about the additional removal cost. Had I known that I would have shopped around. This is a most unsatisfactory way to do business.

I have had four operations in different Spire hospitals. I have always been very happy with my care and do tell anyone who asks what a good experience it is.
On this occasion I had to return after two days as my wound was bleeding, and the nurses were very helpful and kind, and efficient. Also prompt. The porter was excellent as well, as I had a wheelchair.
I would opt for the Spire every time. Thanks to all the staff who cared for me.

My experience was made great by the staff at the hospital. Unfortunately I didn't get all their names but a special thankyou to my consultant Mr Lenaham, my nurse for the day Angel, my aftercare in recovery from Nina and all the others who cared for me so well that day.

The facility is like a well oiled machine everyone has their part to play and they do it in a seamless fashion. I was really impressed. If I have any further joint issues I would seek out the Spire team to fix it. If I had the money to pay for it, I would consider it well spent,nothing is more valuable than your health.

Mr Green performed eye surgery on both my husband’s eyes last month. He was suffering from cloudy, dry eyes in both eyes and could barely see.
Our Opticians identified the reason and they have an arrangement with a Company who could perform the surgery required. However the waiting list was over 10 weeks and we could not wait that long.
We decided to go privately with Spire Healthcare, as we had been a patient with them previously.
The whole process from initial conversation to surgery was only 10 days and my husband was delighted with the results.
Mr Green, was very good, he was thorough, knowledgeable and explained everything in detail.

Having in the last three weeks having gone in for a full knee replacement operation, I cannot fault in any way now the whole procedure went, from the surgeon to the very point of coming into the hospital itself.
