First, my technician was AWESOME! This has nothing to do with him. However, I made a reservation online, and never got a confirmation email. I checked my inbox, spam and deleted files - NOTHING. What I selected online for grout cleaning (3 rooms) and a rug was not what the technician had on his screen when he arrived. He couldn't clean my rug (their psi was too high?) so he wanted me to send it off for weeks for a price that was 4x the amount. With the grout cleaning, what I expected to get price wise ended up costing me literally double what I was expecting to pay. While the tech was very good, they still were unable to get the entire room completed. I used them back in 2021, and now I remember why I will never use them again. There are other companies out there that do an AMAZING job and don't charge as much money. I would not recommend them unless it's a last resort, or you want to pay a lot of money. Had I received an email showing me what I selected and realized it was wrong, I would have fixed it. Honestly, I would have hired another company because the price was insane!

Stanley Steemer arrived when they were supposed to and did a good job getting the stains out of the carpet in two rooms and a hall upstairs. The leader was relentless in selling me the upcharges and I ended up paying way more than I anticipated. The problem was that about 30 minutes after they left, I was sitting in the kitchen and looked up and saw a large water bubble in the ceiling, directly below one of the stains that they worked on in the room above. I called Stanley Steemer and sent pictures of the damage to the ceiling the next day. They had an incident manager call me and he immediately told me that they don't even use enough water to wet the carpet so there was no way that they caused the problem. However, when I walked on the carpet after treatment, my feet were soaked. He assured me that the leak must be from our pipes within the house and said he would come the next day to show me. He arrived and barely glanced at the damage in the kitchen ceiling. He went upstairs with his moisture meter and used it all over the room and didn't get a result until I directed him to the exact spot in the carpet that is above the leak in the ceiling. The moisture sensor immediately went off. He went outside and called someone and went back upstairs. When he called me upstairs, he showed me that the adjacent bathroom had a drip from the faucet and a drip when the toilet was flushed. None of these water sources was used during the carpet cleaning or in the days prior to their visit. They had nothing to do with what happened but this was his way of casting blame elsewhere. He also peeled back the carpet in a different corner and showed me that there was a water resistant pad under the carpet so there was no way that they were responsible and I had to have a leak somewhere. But there wasn't total coverage around the edge of the carpet so maybe they used to much water at the edge of the carpet by the stain and the water bled through. So to summarize, I asked if he was telling me that this leak in my pipes just happened to come about right after our carpets were treated and in the exact spot under where they focused on a stain in the carpet upstairs. He looked me dead in the eye and said yes. We are in utter disbelief that Stanley Steemer could cause this much damage and then gaslight me saying that it's a leak in our pipes. And no, there hasn't been an additional damage to the ceiling since that day last week. Being a national company, I would think they would want to stand by the quality of their service and make things right. I'm sick about how much it will cost us to repair the damage to the ceiling.

Do NOT throw your money away by using Stanley steamer. It’s a waste of time and they won’t get the job done. They hire new people constantly and have them doing 3-4 jobs in a DAY!!! So from that they rush through your job to get others done and half ass do the job. They left out hose strung out and the absolute filth they left and the amount of money they charge is A complete SCAM!!!!!

Stanley Steamer is a horrible Co. They hire incompetent people who know nothing about the job.
We hired them to clean the house vents and it was a total disaster. Instead of removing the dirt with a sucking device, they spread all the filth from vents with a blower. They polluted the whole house and spead all the filth to the ceiling, walls furniture, etc. We got very sick from the pollution. Horrible expensive , and dangerous. They should be procecuted.

One Star because – when Stanley Steemer ruined our 6’x14’ fine wool rug, they handed over the case to their Insurance Adjuster, rather than taking responsibility themselves for the replacement.
Background: Previously, we had recently used Stanley Steemer on two occasions where the work was perfect. Therefore, we were quick to call them to remove a few mud footprints on our hall rug. All seemed well, and the rug was cleaned. I paid over $600 for the service at that time. However, the rug would not flatten out; ripples persisted. SS came back and took the rug to their NY workroom where the final restitution did not succeed. We were told the rug was irreparably damaged.
I cannot vouch for how the rug became damaged … too much steam? I do not know. I just know that Stanley Steemer washed their hands of the incident, turned it over to an insurance adjuster, and moved on without being supportive of a loyal customer. I spent almost 2 months haggling with their adjuster about what was fair and right because of Stanley Steemer’s carelessness. I got nowhere. The adjuster was not going to give us the replacement cost for our very fine rug. Although the rug was 9 years old, it was in perfect condition and would have lasted us a lifetime.
I provide this information for your consideration only. Be alert – Accidents can happen and when they do, you want to be dealing with a company that will not run away from their customer obligations. Stanley Steemer’s services are broad; their work can be superb; but accidents can happen, and that’s when you want SS taking full responsibility for any incurred damage. Otherwise, you will be left like we were – receiving a pittance from their insurance adjuster for a very big blunder.

I got my carpet cleaned by DeQuandre on yesterday and he did a great job! He was very professional and we appreciate that!

Totally overcharged me. I have 1 set of stairs and 1 living room. They charged me 2 times for cleaning the living room. Then charged me twice for a projection and twice for deodorize. Almost $100 more! They are over charging the elderly and taking advantage of them. Very shady company now. Will never have them in my home again. Matt was the ring leader of this 2 man crew!!!

Have used the Rockford Stanley Steemer before but, had a crew out on a recent Saturday to clean carpets, tile floor and, ended up adding cleaning of a leather couch while they were on the job. This was a pretty big job.

1. I was not quoted accurately for the couch cleaning and when the bill was tallied, I was charged a huge amount for a simple wipe down.

2. One of the crew members helped themselves to my mother's purse. Took the whole thing with them. While we missed pulling it out of the room where the couch was cleaned before they arrived, apparently too tempting. 1 crew member was on her own for an hour in that room and just took it! They TOOK a 92-year-old woman's purse. Her SS card, Veterans Admin card, cash, credit card, checkbook.

We filed a police report, and I called the manager of the facility. I was not offered anything but a "sorry - hard to hire, staff is normally good...."

Careful before you invite them into your home. Very disappointed and appalled.

I had an appointment made the gentleman came out what was a 216.00 dollar price . Once he came out he wanted to charge me over 675.00. Told me that the company that supposley he works for tells people a lower price and when they get there he charges over 3 times more . My advise Stay away it's a fraud business. It really should be called

My phone call with Bee at Stanley Steamer, San Diego, was a very pleasant. She had a can do attitude, answered all my questions and made my day with her handling of my request for a rug cleaning. Bee was easy to understand and very thorough. She was a credit to Stanley Steamer and I feel confident that I will be pleased with the outcome of the service.

Feel like a punk. These clowns sprayed water on my carpet, and laughed all the way home. Of all services I've contracted, this will never be surpassed for stunningly poor performance, service, and follow up. Would NEVER accept a free service as compensation. They need to be OOB.

I had them come and do air duct cleaning. This was a joke. First they didn't hook up suction to furance, what they did do was hooked up a vacuum tube and hold it over the air vent while they shoved a air hose 3 to 4 ft in the vent. Like I could have used my air compressor and vacuum and did the same thing. Did not check furance vents, so they are still dirty I figure and am sure their vac did suck anything out. Completely waste of $972.00. Definitely a major rip off.

If you're considering using this company's services, I urge you to reconsider. I paid $600 to have three rooms and a rug cleaned and deodorized in my small home, but I was left incredibly disappointed. Not only was the cleaning job not done properly, but the smell in one of the rooms was worse than before. I had to take matters into my own hands and use my carpet shampooer to try and fix the issue. What I found in my carpet was disgusting. I called the company to complain and was promised that someone would come out to make things right. Unfortunately, the same gentleman came back and did a poor job again, leaving me with the same sour smell and dirty carpets. Despite numerous attempts to contact the company, I have yet to hear back from the manager. Please do not waste your money and time on this company. If you want a professional cleaning job done right, look elsewhere.

I scheduled Stanley Steamer to clean my tile and hardwood using their online portal. After accurately entering the required room info I was given a quote of 680 dollars. Upon arrival I was informed by the technician that the job cost would be 1285 dollars. This kind of bait and switch behavior is outrageous. Do not ask for number of rooms if that is no a criteria for cost. You either charge by the room or by the square footage. Do not quote me a room cost and change to square footage upon arrival. That is Jacked up and shameful.

Hired Stanley Steemer in St Cloud Mn to clean carpet in three small rooms. Smallest was 6x11ft , largest was 10x14ft. Price quoted was $532 which I thought was high but acceptable to get the carpet throughly cleaned.
Bill ended up a bit more than $1700 and included chgs I didn’t authorize, but he said I did.
I would never spend the $1000 to clean a 6x11 piece of carpet, but that’s what I was billed for this one room.
When questioned the technician Taylor started calling me names and threatening me with calling the sheriff and having me arrested.
Also tried to negotiate the chgs with the manager who was unreceptive.
I felt threatened and completely taken advantage of.
Finally just paid the bill which felt like extortion, to break free of them and sever contact.
The tech was a bully, who threatened and took advantage of me.
Don’t trust this business with your trust or money.
There are other service providers who will provide ethical non threatening service.

On Dec. 4 we had an appointment with your company to get our carpet and furniture cleaned. The serviceman showed up and asked for a water source. We have an apartment and dont have that kind of source readily available. So he rescheduled us for the next day with a portable cleaner system adding that it won't do the same job. the next day two workers showed up and asked for a water source. we showed them the showers faucet and they said that would be fine. Basically they sprayed the areas with a fine mist and sucked it up. I could've done that. (By portable I was thinking a little more elbow grease!) After they left we noticed the stains weren't completely gone and some candy under the love seat was still there.We are very disappointed with the process. There's no WOW there as advertised.

Stanley Steemer was advertising this two room $59 special, we hired them for today and they said they would be there between 9 AM to 11 AM. They didn’t show up till after 12 PM then instead of the $59 they said the two rooms would cost $350, when we tried to cancel, they said, there’s a transportation service fee, basically extorting us for money. I spoke with the manager, who was rude, extremely unprofessional, and I just need to warn everybody out there to never use this company, if you do, you’ll find out what I’m talking about!

While I appreciate that not all Stanley Steemer locations have the same quality of service, the team in Deer Park NY is simply the best. They’ve removed some of the toughest stains from our carpets, couches, and furniture over the years - and they always do it with a smile. Five stars.

Stanley Steamer does bait and switch to upgrade price. I got a qoute for tile and gout cleaning on line with rep and she gave me a discount. When they came out the tech wanted to know how long we lived there. We have a new build and live here only 3 years. The Tech Keith Ritchie in Riverview tried to triple qoute us and didnt honor our original qoute. We felt they were not being honest. We declined their service and went to home depot. BUYER BEWARE IN RIVERVIEW FLORIDA. THIS COMPANY IS CROOKED.
