I thought I had a 'bad' batch of Tetley Tea Bags until I bought my next box of One Cup.
The tea is so week there is hardly any colour or tast to it.
Only about half the usual amount of tea in the tea bag than before.
So disapointed.
They were my go too brand but I won't be buying them anymore.
I want my tea to taste like tea and not look like dishwater!!

I have always bought Tetley tea bags and recently the bag of 440 tea bags (0.88kg) from Home Bargains Heywood. I was telling my partner they don't have taste & colour at all, even I used 3 t.bags in one cup & feels nothing. Why you guys ruining your quality. I like PG tips too & they are strong in taste but the bag quality is rubbish.

Since initially writing a review I complained to Tetley, they asked for Tea Bags which were supplied. Back came the reply which blamed everything bar themselves. When basically 90% say their wrong, they don’t want to listen!

I have always bought Tetley tea bags and recently the bags don't seem to be the same, they're weaker than previously and don't taste the same. What have you done to make this happen. I will try other brands now to see if I can get a better cuppa.

Do not know what has happened to Tetley tea bags just bought a packet of decaf. Both my wife and I did not like them. Checked the date on the but well in date Dec 2023. The bin for them, they taste terrible.

We always buy yet let decaf tea. Lately the tea is weak and not good tasting. I want to know what title you did. I won’t be buying any more. Now have to find another tea.

Not sure what's happened with tetley but recent purchase tastes flowery and is horrible,threw away while bag of 240.

I googled 'are Tetley tea bags weaker' and ended up on this site. It appears I am not alone - we've been loyal Tetley customers for many years but it looks like we will have to try a different brand.

I normally use another brand, but last week, I bought these, as my local shop only stocked Tetley. I've not had a decent cuppa since and will be buying my usual today.

I always got Tetley my favorite tea..but this year 2021 to now..its changed i can say its horrible what did you do to my tea. I hope you fix this problem soon because im about to buy red rose or something ..i so miss my tea i refuse to pay the high price we are paying to have to use 2 bags for one tea..that would be 108 teas out of a box of 216..not good. Tetley tea bags have changed!I have bought them for years, but all of a sudden they make a very muddy coloured tea and it's almost undrinkable needless to say I won't be buying again!

Agree to all the negative feedback. Tetley used to be my go-to drink but it now tastes more like the bag than the tea. Another long-established and once British company dragged into the gutter by greedy foreign businessmen; not what the Tetley brothers envisioned I'm sure.

I used to buy this brand all the time, but having recently invested in a large packet of 240 tea bags, I was left thoroughly disappointed, in that they are now weaker in strength and have a blatant metallic taste. It's now sub-budget quality tea, and I'm finished with it.

I’ve just bought a pack of Tetley tea bags at the supermarket and had the first cup last night and immediately noticed it tasted different. Added to that, as others have noted, I ended up with a mouthful of tea leaves. Thinking something I had eaten may have tainted the taste I had my first cup of tea this morning before breakfast and it is exactly the same taste. Additionally, I got another mouthful of tea leaves!

Ive been using Tetley tea bags for years over the last few months and different packs of tea bags from different supermarkets have found they do not make a cup of tea like they used to. No matter how long the bag is left in the cup its still weak. Will be changing to another brand next time I go shopping.

Bought a large bag of 1100 tetley tea bags as I have always used tetley and to say I like my tea is an understatement , the tea is weak and doesn't taste the same also bags are bursting a lot easier , will be switching to another brand , tetley get your act together before all your customers switch .

If you thought you were being clever Tetley you’ve shot yourself in the foot. You’ll lose customers - I’m changing brands!

Always bought Tetley because the tea bags made a decent cup of tea, but recently they don't. The tea is, weak and tasteless. I suspect the amount of tea in the tea bag has been reduced. Switching to another brand as this looks like a Tetley cost-cutting exercise.. at the customers expense. Such bean-counting is bound to hurt the company in the long term

Came here to see if others were having similar issues to me. The amount of tea in the bags has been halved, they’re made so cheaply and there’s about a cm of tea leaves floating at the end. Keep mindlessly taking a sip of tea and ending up with a mouth full or sludgy tea leaves. On top of this they’ve started charging more for the privilege of having to spit 20% of my tea out.
