Love this company
I love this company and have bought several lots of material over the last 5 or 6 years, all of which I have been delighted with. Plus delivery has been faultless! This latest experience was equally good, even down to a delightful customer service agent arranging for the package to be posted the same day so that it could arrive in time for someone to collect and bring to me in France. Can't wait to receive it!!!

Sample fabric too small
I ordered a sample of a fabric paying 75p and was highly disappointed with the size of it. This gave me no idea of the size of the main pattern. I have ordered other samples from other companies, the most I have paid is 50p and the majority are A4 sized rather than smaller than A5.

We are sorry to have received a 2 star review from you.
Unfortunately due to the rising costs of yarns, manufacture and fabric we now have to charge this nominal fee for our samples, we do offer free shipping on all of our samples.
Our samples are generally A5 size and when our team pick the samples they do try to include all of the pattern or colours if they are a large pattern or include a variety of colours.
We do list on each fabric the size of the pattern repeat and we also offer larger half a metre samples if you wanted to see that fabric in a larger piece.

Long Island fabric returned
I have used fabric mill shop and online for many years being a curtain maker, I recently thought I was leaving a product review not shop review and very sorry it was not a true review as I have always had fantastic customer service from Carla and all the team.
I rushed a purchase recently of fabric and really did not like it, they do always recommend buying samples!!! I was contacted by the mill shop and they are taking the fabric back and exchanging it for another fabric! Thank you guys and sorry again for the misunderstanding!!

We are sad to have received a 1 star review from you.
We always strongly recommend that a sample is ordered of any fabric that you are interested in as the fabric can look very different in real life to an image on a backlit computer screen or device this can give a fabric a different vibrancy. We do state on this fabric in particular that a sample is strongly recommended as it is a printed design on a cotton base cloth and is printed to look like a woven heavier fabric.
I believe our customer service team have been in touch with you to offer an exchange of fabric as we do state in our terms and conditions on our website that we are more than happy to offer this if you are unhappy with the fabric you have chosen.
We hope that you will take up this offer and this does not deter you from using our services again in the future.

Choosing lining
Clear descriptions and advice on the site for each product I viewed, samples sent promptly and final order despatched and received with one day. Would be lovely if the fee for the sample could be taken off the final price should an order go ahead on the basis of viewing the sample - just a thought.
