Just wanted to say thanks to Levi for all his help this week.

Although it wasn't completely straightforward Levi sorted everything out. He helped me when there were issues with the scaffold tower I hired, organised delivery around the times I needed, and even arranged an alternative supplier at short notice at the end of hire period.

It's the sort of service that makes me glad I went into the store instead of booking online. Thanks again, Levi. I'll definitely be hiring from you again when I need scaffold equipment.

Bayley and Sophie were amazing at helping me sort out AC units for an event during the 35-degree heat. They were professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process, including when it came time to return the units. Their excellent service made everything easy, and I really appreciated their support. Highly recommend!

Came to pick up genie lift, had a few issues upon arrival with accounts Sarah solved all issues and away we went service with a smile

Horrific experience, ordered an air con unit to hire, got a text on the day it was due to be delivered saying it’s delayed but no need to contact us it will just be with you late. No sign, tried contacting them the following day multiple times, couldn’t get through, literally couldn’t contact them for days and then eventually when we did they were totally useless and took ages to refund us.

Never got the air con unit, no apology, let us down big style for our wedding.

Would never use again.

When the June 2026 heatwave was on its way, we hired an air conditioner from HSS's website. But it turned out the website was taking orders for inventory HSS didn't have. With a three month old baby, we were really worried about the heat. Amy took the challenge on and found us another solution, regularly communicated, checked up on us and even asked us if we wanted to hold onto it for the early July heatwave. She turned the whole experience around and provided a great experience.

The Hire Service Company were extremely helpful and delivered the units within the hour. The units work well and cooled our classrooms to a level at which we were able to stay open! Thank you for the great service.

Needed some combi ladders last minute and the guys here were more than helpful, very informative and made the whole process very easy and the price was more than reasonable. I will definitely be using them for all my companies hiring needs in the future as it fits in with budgets very well.

Ordered Air Con units (portable) as a Rush, none in Manchester, however, Doncaster branch came through and saved the day (so to speak).
Stewart, the driver was an absolute legend, friendly, helpful and couldn't do enough to help.

Great, staff and always got what i want

I have just returned the two dehumidifiers I had hired from HSS. I needed to extend the hire period on an ad-hoc basis and they were very accommodating. What a pleasant and easy experience. The staff, especially Ollie (on his first week), were very helpful. Very pleased. I would use them again (although fingers crossed not for dehumidifiers!). I would highly recommend them.

I have tried to get a cement mixer and transformer cable collected for the past 2 weeks since the hire has ended and keep getting told that the equipment will be collected the next day every day but nobody turns up. I have explained I am having to leave my garden open so the equipment can be taken and they say there is nothing anybody can do to help, although acknowledging I would be at fault if that happened. I have raised a complaint and promised somebody would call me back, yet again nothing has been done since.
Terrible customer service, I would not recommend.
