Lucas-dean Shaul (Gloucester) was everything you'd expect a supportive and knowledgeable driving instructor to be. His teaching style and general attitude to teaching was perfect. Highly recommend to anyone taking lessons around the Gloucester area.

I had an appalling experience with L Drive Driving School and my assigned instructor, Ghulam. I paid £350 upfront for a 10-hour lesson package, but I only received a single lesson because Ghulam continuously demanded extra money to continue giving lessons.

When I disputed these unjustified extra charges, he washed his hands of the issue and told me to take it up with the driving school. When I contacted the school, they refused to take responsibility and told me to sort it out directly with the instructor.

After trying to get this resolved, Ghulam completely ghosted me and stopped responding to my calls and texts. Despite my repeated requests, he never replied, and they refused to refund my money for the remaining unused lessons. To make matters worse, missing these lessons directly caused me to miss my scheduled driving test.

Neither the instructor nor the driving school showed any professionalism or accountability. Save your money and book elsewhere.

I am currently going through the process of qualifying as a driving instructor. I chose to go with Drive as I believe that they offer the best value for money and excellent customer focus.
I have been involved in many different types of training in my 46 years of working, military, civilian and police. I have many industry recognised qualifications in training. I have been involved in the enhancement, development and delivery of training packages, physical, documented and digital.
During my working life I have had to complete, literally, hundreds of online training packages, some good, some not so good!
I have found that the Drive online training package is excellent. It is obvious to me that a lot of thought, time, energy and money has gone into creating truly exceptional package. The language used is clear and easy to understand . The graphics are great quality. The numerous links and hyperlinks to addition and further learning are so useful. The exercises that are required are explained simply with clear understanding of why.
Here was not one section that I completed where I thought that I don’t understand.
The training support dept is incredibly helpful. Very prompt responses to emails and phone calls, always reply with accurate and helpful answers.
Numerous webinars to attend where interaction with other learners and their experiences is very helpful.
If you are contemplating learning to drive, learning to be a driving instructor, I can highly recommend the Drive, student centred learning packages.

Took lessons and passed my test with Lucas-dean Shaul in Cheltenham, and he was a great instructor. Properly taught me how to correct my mistakes in a relatively short period of time. Would definitely recommend.

Darren Venn (Telford) is a great instructor. I just passed my driving test with 2 minors and I honestly think it is all down to his training! He is very learner-centred and will personalise your lessons depending on the gaps that you find in your learning, he will check in with you every lesson to see what your confidence levels are, what changes you want to make going forward and will fixate on helping you improve and get rid of recurrent faults.

He truly has a calming presence and will not make you feel judged for making a mistake, instead, he will look at the root cause for the issue and help you fix it.

His training has given me massive confidence and skills to deal with road conditions and become a better driver.

I would recommend him a thousand times over! No matter how long you have struggled to pass the driving test, I honestly think that you can do it with Darren! ☺️

I signed up with DRIVE in 2023 and have faced some personal challenges during the time it has taken for me to fully qualify as an ADI. The support team at DRIVE have been so supportive and given me all the tools, help, support and additional guidance to get me to have finally achieved my goal to have passed part 3 in August 2026 - I cannot thank them enough! My advice would be to make sure you are open and honest with the support team so they can support you as best as they can. A special mention has to go to Andrew for the mentoring support he provided in the run up to my last part 3 test as he really changed my mindset into believing I could achieve this!
I am so excited to start my new career full time and continue to grow, develop and enhance my skills further over the coming months and years.

Passed my test today having had excellent instruction from James Ellis in Kingstanding. He was so knowledgeable and thorough, I learned so much from him and I can see the quality of the learning Drive gave him. He pushed me out of my comfort zone and really made me a safe and competent driver. Would recommend Drive and James to anyone learning to drive.

The process of booking lessons and finding out information was so straightforward and clear with the assistance of team members, Cole, especially was helpful in securing my lessons and helping me find the best prices!

I was looking to book driving lessons but had some reservations.
I was kindly helped by Sam who answered all my questions and assured me of a great experience.
