Easy & efficient
It was easy to let them know what I needed & very quickly they replied with a short list of those who had been offered the chance to take on the job.
Within a couple of days I had spoken to 3 companies each or whom gave me a quote.
Having accepted one, they came a week later & completed the job.

No response to formal complaint
I raised a formal complaint with TrustATrader on 31 March 2026 regarding concerns over trader identity verification, consumer representations, complaint handling and Subject Access Request compliance.
I followed this up with a further escalation to the CEO on 30 April 2026 and again more recently, but to date have received no substantive response.
My concerns relate not simply to an underlying trader dispute, but to wider issues regarding consumer reliance on representations about trader vetting and protections represented by TrustATrader.
I retain the full correspondence and complaint documentation.

You initially contacted us in 2022, after which we did not receive any further correspondence from you until 2024. During our subsequent involvement, we made considerable efforts to mediate and help resolve the dispute between you and the trader.
We have provided you with the correspondence relating to the complaint raised and have confirmed that the trader concerned is no longer a member of TrustATrader, having ceased membership in December 2024.
All traders are subject to our vetting process before they are approved for membership. Any trader who does not satisfy our vetting requirements is not permitted to join TrustATrader. In addition, existing members may have their membership withdrawn if they fail to maintain the standards expected of them.
