Bought my car 10 months ago and was offered a Warranties 2000 policy at what I still deem a very fair price. It was offered by my finance company.
My first claim has been rejected this week despite following all requirements laid out in the warranty document. The parts needing replaced are a gearbox mount and a brake caliper, neither of which appear in the list of items not covered.
I used a trusted partner, Halfords. I also had the car serviced 1000 miles early while it was in being diagnosed to prevent any issue there.
The reason given for the rejected claim was 'components having progressive failures'. This is not a term visible anywhere on the policy document supplied at the time of purchase and seems to be a convenient get out clause.
When I called to discuss I was told I couldn't speak to the agent as there was a specific team who would call me back same day. The call never came.
It's a total scam. I followed their instructions and the parts are covered, but they have broken there own terms of contract.
Just save yourself the grief, time and money. Avoid at all costs.
As someone who sold cars for 20 years I know there are warranty companies who operate professionally. Warranties 2000 are not one of them.
Edit after response from warranties 2000:
Quoting from the warranty guide provided at point of sale -
'We cover all factory-fitted mechanical and
electrical components, including wear and
tear, provided the part was in good working
condition when your plan began. If a covered
component fails and it’s not a routine service
item or specifically excluded, then it’s
covered.'

❤ Our Promise to You
We’re here to protect you, not to catch you
out. We assess all repair requests fairly and
always aim to get you back on the road as
quickly, simply, and stress-free as possible.
The first confirms wear and tear is covered, the second confirms the 2 named components are not on the list. And are therefore covered. The third has now been proven to be demonstrably false.
This proves that you, as the operator of the warranty, have failed to uphold your own terms, while expecting me to do so.
Like I said before, a scam.

Had a three month policy with my new vehicle. Attempted to make a claim and was informed nothing was covered :( When I was contacted by a member of staff by phone to see if I wanted to renew the policy, she very rudely hung up on me! I would suggest by their poor reviews on here and their 2.4 rating on Google, that you avoid this company like the plague.
In response to your reply and for calling me a liar. Your member of staff did indeed hang up on me and clearly wasn't trained to a high standard.

I would strongly advise against using Warranty 2000 based on my experience.
Their customer service has been extremely poor from start to finish. Emails regularly go unanswered, and when you try calling, you are often left on hold for 30 minutes or more with very little help once you finally get through to someone.
What has been most frustrating is the way they handle claims. In my experience, they seem determined to avoid paying out wherever possible. Almost every issue is dismissed as either “wear and tear” or caused by “foreign elements,” regardless of the actual problem. It feels as though the wording of the policy is interpreted and manipulated entirely to their advantage so they can reject claims rather than support customers when repairs are needed.
Paying monthly for a warranty should provide reassurance and assistance when problems arise, but unfortunately this company provided neither. I found the entire process stressful, unhelpful, and incredibly disappointing.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for a reliable warranty provider.

Helen displayed a willingness to be helpful in the initial negotiations and afterwards when I was making the arrangements for my grandson.
(However the real test will come if it becomes necessary to make a claim!!).

Klaira was fantastic in helping me sort my new two year renewal on my vehicle. Explained everything thoroughly and offered advice and guidance throughout the phone call. Would highly recommended Warranties2000 and Klaira was a credit to the company. 5 stars.

tryed to claim for car coils pack x2 and spark plugs that were broken by the coil packs and was told thy dont cover coil packs but cover ignition coils that have not beeen fitten since 2000 or 1990 so there cover is only up to 10 years old cars i think there cover is out of date so i will be going to the ombudsmen about this

Bought a Polestar 2 from Big Motoring World in August 25 and took out a 3 year warranty. In February it developed an airbag fault.I contacted Warranties 2000 to be told to get it diagnosed but not at a main dealer. The garage I took it to diagnosed a curtain air bag fault sent a quote to be told they won’t fit a new one but a second hand airbag.Who in the right mind fits second hand airbags to a 20 grand vehicle?2 months later and I’ve still not got it fixed.Do not take out a warranty with this company you will never get your car repaired!

Absolutely shocking. Honestly don't know where to start. So I buy a car from a dealer through Match Me Car Finance from a dealer. Match Me at the same time also asked if I wanted to take out a warranty policy so I said yes, but was told this policy wouldn't kick in until the free 2 month warranty the dealer gave me expired. This was also through Warranties2000.
Driving the car back from the dealer i hear a clunking noise when accelerating, so contacted Warranties2000 and they said i needed to take it to any VAT registered garage to diagnose it, give the garage the warranty paperwork, and the garage then contact them with the details and the quote, etc. So that's what i did. The paperwork I gave the garage was the warranty paperwork that the dealer gave me. Turns out its a damaged driveshaft with the quote being £800.
Fast forward almost 2 weeks, and most of my time has been spent on hold calling Warranties2000 (it's honestly easier contacting HMRC) chasing up the claim which i have been constantly told has been accepted but they're waiting for it to be authorised. How long does it take to authorise a claim? So I'm there thinking if this is the service, or lack of, I'm going to get when my actual policy kicks in, I'm going to cancel it, thinking that won't affect this claim as its through the 2 months free one from the dealer. So I cancel it.
Half an hour after cancelling, I ring Warranties2000 up for the 100th time to get yet another update, only to now be told i don't have cover because I've just cancelled my policy! I tell them no I haven't and that I've cancelled the one that will kick in in 2 months. Their response...they don't have any record of that policy. That was literally the policy that I gave the garage the documents for!! I then say im going to leave a bad review only to be told that would be unfair as they're not the actual warranty company and they're just the administrators for the actual company who are apparently CoverMe.
An absolute shambles from start to finish.
Avoid.
Oh and has anyone got £800 to lend me for my driveshaft?!
