I bought warranty through this company as part of a package on buying my car a year ago. Had I known what I now know, I wouldn't have bothered and would have gone with a more reputable company.
After 2 weeks of trying to resolve a claim, myself and the garage are no closer to gaining any resolution. The response times to queries are terrible, much longer than 48 hours, and the phone lines are constantly busy. After 72 hours of waiting for a response to my initial email wishing to pursue a claim, I was informed to take my car for diagnostics at a local garage, but due to this being a serious electrical issue in a Mini, no local garage would look at this and all told me I would need to go to a Mini specialist.
I was eventually given a number for Mini to contact Warranties 2000 to discuss the claim, which was useless; after Mini and myself making multiple attempts to ring and being on hold for 30 minutes plus at a time (on occasions being cut off), there has been no interaction with a human being. Mini and myself have sent multiple emails, including requested diagnostic information and an itemised estimate for the work required, again to radio silence.
I don't understand how a company can expect so much time and effort from customers or garages to go into resolving a claim- the garage have other customers to deal with and it is unreasonable to expect them to keep their phone lines occupied for so long, and most importantly it is unreasonable to expect me as a customer to wait such a long time for a response on whether my claim will be authorised. Common sense would be that a specific person would be dealing with my claim, but all email correspondence is anonymous and there is no indication that anyone is managing the claim from start to finish.
I could no longer wait for a response as being able to use my car is a necessity- I am a Mum who works as a full time Community Nurse and have no access to another car. I have therefore needed to find £1.1k to get the work completed, and I'll be highly surprised if I get any of this back given what I have seen in other reviews. I have not been able to submit a formal complaint as the company is not transparent enough to provide details on how to pursue this, and I suspect I still wouldn't get a timely response or resolution.
On the basis of what I have seen of other negative reviews, the only way to get any response from this company is by submitting a review, as clearly their ratings are more important to them than ensuring customer satisfaction when a claim has been submitted.
I still have just under a year left with this company, but certainly will not be renewing at the end of this period.
Update 18/06/2026: 2 weeks later I am yet to have any update regarding my claim other than an email yesterday requesting my service history. This was 72 hours after I had asked for an update to an email I sent 10 days ago.
Sales process was fine, if a little long.
After sales, I purchased the 3 year warranty. You are given an app to raise issues with. Nobody ever replies. If you use the app to chase a response, it goes to Big Motoring World directly not Warranties 2000. They then tell you as 3 months have passed to contact Warranties 2000 (I DID! Your APP sent me to you!) and give you the email address.
Over the 2 weeks since raising my warranty issue, I have emailed 3 times, each time I get a response telling me they will get back in 24-48 hours. Nothing. No response.
I called the help line, after 50 minutes on hold I was disconnected. If phoned the Urgent line for claims, 1 hour 20 minutes later, nothing.
This is the hardest company to get hold of. I just want a response. I'm fairly sure they're just going to tell me to get a diagnosis so they can then approve/reject any work. Why is it so hard to just get that confirmation?
My car currently cannot be safely driven, and it's due for the MOT TOMORROW!
At this point in time, this is the worst after-care warranty service I have ever received. And I've used Ryan Air.
Horrendous service from Big motoring world, several emails sent and several phone calls made and still awaiting a respsonse
Leeanne was very friendly and answered any questions that I had. She also explained all the details of the policy

They used to be good but are now absolutely terrible! They say to ring to have a claim authorised before work starts, which appears fair enough except the garage was on hold for 30 minutes before they had to leave it. I tried for a further 30 minutes then also gave up and emailed instead. 5 days before they answered! It’s now over three weeks of back and forth emails, the claim was approved, minus the excess but still no money in the bank. Don’t waste your money with Warranties 2000, find a better company that actually answers the phone and send the money when they say they will!
Very polite and helpful and the lady I spoke to wasn't pushing me into get it

Firstly, it took 15 mins at least calling each time just tried to get through. Called 9 times to get an update on my claim, constantly told someone would call me back . Then it took 6 weeks to tell me that I could not use the warranty as it was down to wear and tear and I only had the car 5 weeks from when the failure occurred . Avoid company at all costs! Totally waste of time and money, and extremely poor level of customer service . No one willing to take ownership to help resolve the claim. I had to escalate to finally get a response.

Brilliant team. I'm a really busy person and kept missing phone calls. They eventually caught up with me and my warranty is now in place and gives me some peace of mind. Couldn't wish for better customer service

Extremely poor communication and unusable warranty service
I purchased a 3-year warranty from Warranties2000 and am now 2 years into the policy. In that time, I have repeatedly tried to contact the company regarding issues and potential claims.
Despite multiple attempts over a long period:
* Emails are not responded to
* Phone calls result in extremely long hold times or no meaningful contact
* No actual claims process has ever been progressed
At this point I have still not been able to get even basic support or have a claim properly reviewed.
This means I have effectively been paying for a warranty service that I have been unable to use.
I am now formally escalating the matter and will be referring it to the Financial Ombudsman Service and relevant consumer protection channels if it is not resolved.
I would strongly advise others to consider the difficulty in actually reaching this company before purchasing a policy.
UPDATE - THEIR REPLY STATES THEY AIM TO RESPOND TO EMAILS WITHIN 48 HOURS WHEN I’VE BEEN WAITING WEEKS
I CAN PROVIDE EVIDENCE OF THIS AND ALSO PROVIDE CALL WAITING TIMES OF 50 MINUTES IN 6-7 SEPARATE OCCASIONS.
I’VE PROVIDED THEM WITH GARAGE INVOICES INCLUDING DIAGNOSTIC PARTS AND LABOUR AND THEY CHOOSE TO IGNORE IT AND WILL RESPOND ACTING LIKE ANGELS

What a joke. My car suspension collapsed, and the garage looked into it and sent the details to Warranties 2000. They just made up their own rubbish statement to avoid paying out the claim, saying they looked at my car's mileage and age and decided it looks like "normal wear and tear" and a "progressive issue" rather than a sudden failure. The car is completely undrivable, and now they are asking for images of the defective parts.
I will never recommend this company to anyone. I have never had issues with any other warranty companies I’ve used in the past. This lot knows exactly how to take your money, but when it comes to a claim, they will try absolutely everything to avoid paying out.
