Our experience with Waste Connections of Texas has been frustrating because of the rising cost of service. Our monthly bill went from $150.71 in November 2021 to $433.48 in September 2026—an increase of approximately 188%, nearly three times the original amount.
More recently, the bill increased from $271.52 in April 2025 to $329.46 in October 2025, then to $433.48 in September 2026. For a small business, increases of this size make budgeting difficult and deserve a clear explanation.
We understand that operating costs rise, but we are disappointed with how expensive this service has become. Based on our experience, I encourage other business owners to carefully review the rate-adjustment, automatic-renewal, and cancellation terms before signing. And consider using someone more reasonable.

Lee was great, helped me when I had a lot to get to the curb and hauled away.

They are VERY slow and VERY loud and won’t change their pick up time. The worst.

Okay so my mom used to have rhino and then waste connections bought out rhino was wonderful okay West connection sucks okay first of all they refuse to pick up her trash on Fridays if it has rained recently and I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt there is no reason why they can't come down here and turn around on this dead end Street there's a driveway right before us and right past this that is serviceable for turning around in you can turn around and hard driveway it's not even that muddy we got the driveway worked on and I still won't come and my mom is about to change services the first of next month cuz we have three families on this property and we have to walk our trash all the way down to the end of our driveway just to get them to pick it up and then they won't even come if it rains it's ridiculous it's a bad driver

I WISH I COULD GIVE THIS COMPANY ZERO STARS! ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE!

This company has demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and customer service. If I could give them ZERO stars, I absolutely would!

I recently cut down a couple of trees in my yard. BEFORE doing so, I contacted the company to confirm whether I could place several piles of brush out for collection. I was specifically assured that it would not be a problem.

Well, brush collection day came and went, and a significant amount of brush was left sitting on the sidewalk. I called to find out why it wasn’t collected and was told there was too much brush. However, I was assured that the remaining brush would be picked up during the next scheduled collection, two weeks later.

Two weeks passed, and once again, NO PICKUP!

I contacted the company AGAIN, only to be told that their Operations Department had “red-tagged” my brush because there was too much of it and it supposedly wasn’t bundled correctly with twine.

ARE YOU SERIOUS?

At no point during my previous conversations was I told there was an issue with how the brush was bundled. In fact, I was explicitly told everything was fine and that the remaining brush would be collected on the next scheduled pickup day.

So, which is it? Was everything acceptable, as your representatives repeatedly assured me, or was there a problem that nobody bothered to communicate?

By this point, the brush had been sitting in front of my property for nearly a MONTH! My HOA contacted me regarding the situation, and I assured them it would be resolved based on the information this company had provided.

Ultimately, I HAD TO PAY $200 OUT OF MY OWN POCKET to have the brush removed because this company failed to follow through on its commitments.

Let me make something perfectly clear: I PAY FOR THIS SERVICE EVERY SINGLE MONTH, WHETHER I USE IT OR NOT! Yet, when I actually needed the service, I was met with excuses, conflicting information, broken promises, and absolutely no accountability.

To make matters worse, customer service representatives claimed they emailed the Operations Department regarding my concerns. That was several days ago, and as of this posting, NOT ONE PERSON HAS BOTHERED TO CONTACT ME!

This is beyond frustrating. It is completely unacceptable for a paying customer to be given repeated assurances, have those assurances ignored, and then be forced to spend an additional $200 to resolve a problem the company should have handled in the first place.

I EXPECT ACCOUNTABILITY, AN EXPLANATION, AND REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE $200 I WAS FORCED TO SPEND BECAUSE OF THIS COMPANY’S FAILURE TO PROVIDE THE SERVICE I PAY FOR.

Your customers deserve better than excuses, misinformation, and empty promises.

ZERO STARS! TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND AN ABSOLUTE FAILURE TO DELIVER ON YOUR COMMITMENTS!

I would strongly encourage anyone considering this company to think twice before paying for a service they may have to pay someone else to actually perform.

The CSR on the phone, Angel, was vary clear in describing how I did not answer the call back from an unknown number so they took no action regaurdng my request. Yea me, totally my fault that whomever called did not leave a message asking me to call back or possibly answer the unknown number, Nope Totally my fault. Thanks for pointing that out!

Contracts that have escalating fees but no recourse for small business owners

I’ve used Waste Connections several years and have had excellent service both with customer service and trash pickup. Pricing can’t be beat as well.

If you have a choice, run the other way. Very poor customer service. Cancelled my account because they made a mistake using an incorrect credit card number when I called them. Wouldn't make right on it and then charge you to reinstate your account. Just a terrible way to do business.

Worst trash service. My pick up day is Friday so I place my trash out Thursday. 3x he drives past mine and my neighbors and skips us.

I have been dealing with commercial waste companies since 1986 and I can truthfully say Waste Connection is by far the worst I’ve ever had to deal with. It’s now common to be 3 days out for a swap and a lot of the time they don’t show up on the appointed day. To compound this, they refuse to haul the now overloaded dumpster.
I have the number of someone who is supposed to help at this company and they NEVER pick up the phone or return texts/calls.

4/5 stars, taking one off. I don't know what was happening one particular day but not the regular guys on my route. A neighbor who lives across the street and 3 doors down found his garbage can lid in my yard and my recycle bin totally gone. The wind was not blowing that day. 5/5 stars to Brenden (driver) and Raul (helper) on truck #350027. They are always so nice and helpful even with the occasional heavy/bulky items that I would normally have to wait on the bulk truck to pick up. Great job for a job you don't normally get recognized for.

I have been using waste connection in Justin TX for the better part of 10 years. They continue to raise their pricing and adding fees until they’re nearly twice the cost of other wate companies in our area!! When I called and canceled my service they charged a $55 pick up and cleaning fee on top of everything else!! BMW Waste charges $35 per 95 gallon can and no additional fees! Fuel, land fill etc are included in the $35!!!

Every week there is a reason as to why the trash can not be picked up

Unreliable and expensive with unexplained price increases with various extras added to bill. Waiting five days and counting for garbage pick up.

Both Chez and DQ are great at their jobs. Friendly and courteous. Nice job guys!

This company is vile. No work ethics, horrible culture and immoral. Stay away !

Last Friday their claw snatched our trash barrel. They said that they put in a work order and it could take 5-7 business days. That's just not right. It's entirely their fault and should have brought out a new barrel last Friday. Now the mounting garbage is really stinking up our house. We are unhappy customers.
